    Crispy sesame garlic chicken
    Bianca S.

So I went here based on a recommendation that I received about it being good. Its just over the peace bridge so it didn't take long to get here. Upon arriving we were seated by a window. I didnt make reservations and the back room was reserved already as it was a Saturday, but we were able to see the water still. Its small inside but cozy. Our table had some water on it and the woman who seated us just wiped it off with her hand and then walked away. I ordered the crunchy sesame garlic chicken with a side of rice and we got beef and broccoli. The food took about 20 minutes to come and I was not happy at all. My fork was dirty so I asked for chopsticks which were then placed on the table that was clearly not thoroughly clean. The chicken didn't have a bad flavor, but it was basically just a crispy coating and no real meat. Some pieces were so hard it was hard to believe they served me that. I told the server when she asked how it was, but she made no attempt to see if I wanted anything else or to rectify the bad quality, just said oh sorry. My husband did enjoy his beef and broccoli , but said it was nothing special worth coming back for. I'd personally never go back here. Perhaps my experience was just a bad day but they definitely rubbed me the wrong way

Beautiful setting with picture windows facing the Niagara river is awesome. But wait. What about the food and service like? Well as other reviews state it's really a very lovely dining experience. Service is attentive, informative and unrushed. We ordered soups, fried dumplings as appetizers. Then we split an entree order of hot and sour fried rice with pork, chicken and shrimp and a whole Peking Duck between 4 adults and were so happy. It was such a big surprise because 2 had never had the Peking duck and the fried rice seemed like a weird choice but it was a perfect counterpoint to the richness of the duck. Treat yourself to a nice dining experience.

We drove from Buffalo, and the drive was definitely worth it. Our food was fresh, authentic, and delicious. We started with the fried dumplings. These had a thicker than normal dough, and a super juicy filling. They came with a dumpling sauce as well. I could have eaten about 3 more orders of these. I was obsessed. We ordered a lot of entrees. The beef and broccoli was thin, tender, and juicy. The stir fried vegetable noodles were thin and had a super umami flavor. The vegetables in the noodles soaked up the sauce beautifully. The Jasmine spare ribs were something I've never tried before, but they were sticky, moist, and full of flavor. We also got the crispy sesame ginger chicken - which lived up to it's name. Very crunchy and definitely ginger flavored, this was another dish like I've never had before. The restaurant was right on the river, which was really cool. It would be interesting in the daytime to see the boats go by. Our server was super friendly! Overall, we had a great experience here and we're glad we made the trip over the border to eat dinner together.

To finish off our anniversary celebrations, my boyfriend and I had reservations for one of their special dinners, which was a dim sum night. We only just found out about this place after my realtor told me that she comes here often because it is that good. Buffalo really doesn't have great Chinese food, or if they do, I have not found it. I love that Ming Teh has a huge window overlooking the river. It is a great spot. The interior is wonderfully decorated and I really loved the entire experience. The service was fantastic. I can't tell you what we had, but we had many courses. The standouts to me included the vermicelli and beef noodles, the steamed crab dumpling and the sesame roll stuffed with bean paste. I also liked the scallion pancake a lot. Each dish, though was very good. We can't wait to come back and try items off the menu. Even though you need to cross an international border, it is extremely close to Buffalo and well worth the border crossing hassle.

My wife wanted to try this place out for her birthday today, and we are both so glad we did. We had soup, spring rolls, and split two dishes. She had the stir fried chicken and shrimp with cashews and almonds (33 on the menu) and I had the deep fried fish in sauce of garlic, bean paste, ginger, chili pepper, and minced pork (86 on the menu). We have always enjoyed Chinese food, but this was another level of good! When they say that their food is different, each dish from another and their food from any other Chinese restaurant we have ever tried, believe them. It was wonderful. The service was friendly and good, and even though we were there at an off time, everything was fresh, hot, and delicious.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch on a weekday in September. We wanted an outing on one of the last days of summer. We decided a drive along the Niagara Parkway in Canada and lunch at Ming Teh was the answer. The food was as good as we remembered. We ordered from the lunch menu a hot and sour soup and a spring roll for our appetizer. Then the crunchy sesame chicken and the dry-fried beef for our entrees. Rice was ordered separately. The view of the river is impressive. The service was prompt and professional. It was a good outing.

Always a treat to go to Ming Teh's. Like many others, we come from land down under (Buffalo, NY) . Funny telling friends we go to another country for great chinese food. Personal favorite is #65 (Dry Fried Chewy Beef Strips with Ginger & Garlic). So good and different. Like eating beef "Candy!" Fun to explore other dishes as well. Recently learned Kang Pao is different version than Kung Pao. We usually order a vegetable dish to complement the meat entrees. The food. The View. The friendly/appreciative owner. Worth crossing the border for this culinary experience.

Mother's Day weekend over-the-border getaway dinner at Ming Teh! :-)

Also many people waiting to pick up orders, so the front was also too busy for getting pix. Another thing I would recommend is sitting at table instead of booth. We sat in a booth. The problem with the booths, or at least the first booth from door, is either the seats are too low or the table is too high. Terrific fish fry: haddock with two sides. Loved the light breading on this. Also available is the Buffalo classic fish fry-- beer battered and fried, standard sides... fries, Cole slaw, mac salad. Very interesting menu. Inviting. So I will be accepting the invitation to come back for the Portside (lobster sandwich), and for the seafood fries. More reviews to follow. Very personable employees, enjoyable decor. Music a tad loud, and incongruous. I read a review from last year that described the music, though also too loud, as R&B. That sounds just right. Maybe dance music gets people to eat faster, desirable for quicker table turnover. There were people waiting for tables as we left. Only negative for me was thin ranch dressing and thin tartar sauce.

He is amazing! I've been wanting to try the seafood fries, and while the flavor was spot on, there was a noticeable lack of seafood. I doubt I would have that again. I'm any case, the fish fry was as fine as ever, and the shrimp po' boy. Oh, those shrimps! I had a lemonade, no extra flavor. Delicious! And don't skip a baked good. I had lemon cake, which was amazing! I did get to hear the band on this night. Definitely a good vibe for the room. Classic jazzy tunes, not too loud.

The Margherita focaccia was by far the worst of the night, soggy and flavorless, the focaccia was nothing like a normal one. The tuna had a nice presentation though it was quite mediocre, the rice was hard in some parts and seemed quite old, the tuna itself was fine but the dish as a whole was maybe on par with sushi you'd get at a wegmans. As my entrée I got the carrot papardella, everything seemed overcooked, hardly any lobster and what little was happened to be tough and rather flavorless, of course it was the same with the shrimp and crab. The pasta was overcooked and stuck to itself and the sauce was quite sweet and far too hot, twenty minutes into the meal and it was still steaming, continuing to turn the dish into mush. The meal was for three people and came out to be $240 after tax and tip, the service was nice but considering the praise this restaurant got I'm sure it's went downhill. The highlight of the meal was the complementary bread at the start.

Vinaigrette went well with everything. less salad mix at the bottom would be nice. Twin Filet Mignon Beef Tournedos 8/10 Cooked perfect, both of them. Decent flavor too. The mushroom sauce was good. The horseradish cheese was shredded, which was very strange to have on a steak. I could have done with a creamier cheese, Gorgonzola, or just none at all. Potatoes were good, a chunky mash. Asparagus was cooked good, al dente and seasoned well. Special: 1/2 Rack Australian Lamb 9/10 Cooked perfect, probably one of the top three best in the Buffalo area. The crust was great, the sauce was really good, could taste the mint and raspberry, but it wasn't super sweet like you'd think.

We were seated right away. We did have reservations, but we didn't see anyone waiting all night. We got lots of appetizers to split amongst the table: the mushroom dumplings, cucumber salad, one of each of the fresh rolls, 1000 broccoli, and some type of bread with cheese that I'm actually not sure what it was called and after looking at their menu again I can't find it, but I'm attaching a picture for reference. I would absolutely get the bread and the broccoli again. Those were our tables favorites. Everything else was still delicious. I got the chicken and broccoli lomein, large size, medium spice. The spice level was great. The portion size was very generous and I took home leftovers. I will say they do charge you $3 for the large size to get a mix of chicken and broccoli so be aware of that. The waitress did warn us which I appreciate. I did enjoy the lomein noodles. I tried our friend's hand cut noodles and udon. They were all great and everyone enjoyed their meal. Our waitress was super kind and helpful. With a large group she handled us very well. She even split the bill multiple ways which we appreciated since I know that can be a pain. They forgot our friend's rice dish so she sat there for a while with no meal while the rest of us ate. After a while we notified the staff and they apologized and brought it out quickly and even took it off her bill without her asking which I was very impressed with. Most places would not do that. They did also charge .50 for going up a spice level which was interesting but not a huge deal. Also be prepared to sit for a while. We were a large group so understandable things take a while. We were there for a total of 2 hours and 45 minutes and that was just from the time we sat until we got the check. It seemed like our waitress was in charge of most of the restaurant. Besides those few things that went wrong I thought the service and quality of food made up for it.
