We've ordered takeout from Rock Burger several times, maybe five. Their menu is extensive. I've…read moreenjoyed most everything we've ordered. The fries don't really stand out in my mind and I'm pretty sure they are from frozen. I do love the Crab Rangoon Rock Rolls!! They're a little too pricey to be overly happy with them. A burger and fries comes to over $20 before tax and tip, unfortunately that's typical these days. Which would be fine except it doesn't feel like the ingredients are of especially good quality. But we clearly like them enough to continue to order on occasion. I'm back into cooking, so I don't know how long I'll be willing to pay these prices for the type of food I can easily make at home. I'm originally from near Napa, California. My family still lives there. It's insanely expensive to live or run a business in Northern California, but for some inexplicable reason restaurants there are able to charge less than Buffalo?? And most places there are making their food from scratch. You don't find Ken's dressing or mass-produced macaroni salad served at restaurants there, for example. i'm running out of patience with Buffalo restaurants...so I'm actually very happy to be back cooking most meals at home. Anyhow, I think they're worth a try anyways.

This is one of my favorites so far on my summer beer discovery list. Super chill vibe. Dogs are…read moreallowed, so I got to pet several friendly dogs when I arrived, and that's a great way to start out an evening. The bartender is awesome and the other customers were great too. I ended up playing several funny rounds of ad-libs with strangers which totally made the evening. I felt welcomed and comfortable, like I immediately was one of the regulars even my first time there. The beer is great and they have a ton of options including stuff on tap and in cans. Look for the tv on the wall for the list of current beers on tap; it's on the far left side of the bar just above the large front windows. My curly fries and chicken strips were perfection - think of the best possible version of those things and that's what I got here. This came with sides of BBQ sauce, blue cheese dip, and ketchup. I greatly enjoyed my pumpkin ale and would happily drink this again. I appreciate that there are so many vegan options on the menu (not my thing but it's nice to have a place to bring vegan friends!). A surprising very cool thing was the restroom. There is great art all over the walls! Check it out even if you don't need to, you won't regret it. I sat at the bar; there is another room with tables and a pool table and I think I spotted some hidden booths in the back. There are also a few outdoor tables out front. Lighting is pretty dim so if you're going to read a book, choose your seat strategically. General volume is on the louder side. Parking is on the street. I saw that they do trivia on Monday nights; there are a ton of flyers for upcoming events in the front window. Overall this was a very easy place to give five stars to.

I got the vegan Mac n cheese and the chicken tenders with fries. Everything I got wasn't good, the breading on the 'chicken' was disappointing and tasted like old oil. The vegan blue cheese was good surprisingly cuz I don't care for the real thing at all. The fries were fine but the Mac n cheese had absolutely no flavor, my kids said to me that mine was better and they aren't that picky with food elsewhere unless it doesn't taste like anything. For that I'll still be back to try other things cuz I appreciate the effort in making vegan food for us vegans out there.

The menu choices are similar, too, so it was kind of like going home. The service is friendly, the food is good (at least everything that my party ordered went down well), and, as I had been warned, the portions are generous. I can definitely see this becoming a favourite hangout for me in Fort Erie. Update: As I expected, Green Acres has become one of my favourite hangouts in town. Most of our friends love the food there, too. Post Covid-19 Update: When the Covid-19 lockdown hit all the restaurants in town, we picked our five favourite restaurants in town -- the five places that we really wanted to see survive, and tried to concentrate our takeout business on them. When Green Acres first went takeout-only, the parking lot would still be full of cars, with people waiting to pickup their takeout orders. With customer loyalty like that, I guess we didn't need to worry much. Anyway, they took the time to have the floors inside re-done, and now that they're open for dine-in again, it's a predictable treat being there again.
