I would let that slide and just not write a review.. but as I was eating I was looking at the pieces and saw that they had put wing tips and pieces of batter to count as pieces of chicken. My first time here and I have to say that's a really good spicy chicken sandwich. It just may be the best spicy chicken sandwich on Oahu. But if you want the best overall you'll have to travel to China and get it from the KFC over there(trust me) also I ordered a 6pc Hell's Gate wings and it was pretty good 8/10. Overall I had a good experience but would have given them 5 starts if they would have told me before I ordered that it would take 15 min, not after. My order actually took longer. I was around the corner and decided I wanted chicken. When I approached the window I saw there were a couple people waiting so I just knew it was going to be good. I ordered 12 honey garlic and 12 sweet and spicy, mild. I waited about 10 minutes and got my order. It was great! The sauce covered the wings and each sauce was flavorful. Amazing food with a lot of thought and caring put into the cooking. From the fried chicken with wasabi sauce, to the pickled daikon/turnip- wonderful taste, to the rice cakes with spicy-sweet sauce, and the fruits I got for dessert- everything was perfect for a gourmet picnic. The flavoring was just right- and the chicken crispy and fresh. I cannot imagine how the owners can get all orders right to perfection (we ordered for more than 30 people for a workshop)- and it was ordered and delivered and still held its "yum" factor! The owners are also very kind and generous- I never felt that they skimped on anything. I am going to recommend this place to everyone I know. Best fried chicken sandwich I've had so far, and the fries are also delicious! The wings are huge, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. The hells gate sauce isn't as spicy as they make it, but that's still my go to sauce. I would have given 5 stars, but I'm deducting one star for being given warm cans of soda on one occasion, and barely cold cans on another occasion. Also, they do take kind of long to prepare the food, so call ahead. All in all, I will definitely be going back many more times. read more

My mom and I ate the 17 piece Honey garlic boneless fried chicken and boy was it delicious! Crunchy on the outside and tender moist inside! Also ordered a side salad with chicken pieces on top and it came with a yummy dressing too! Plenty of parking on the side and their ordering booth faces Dillingham Blvd. Great for takeout to go but their are 2 little tables on the side which would only fit 2 people each. Literally the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. If you like the kind of spice that's more flavorful than absolute heat then order their Spicy Chicken Sandwich! The chicken was super crispy, the bun was nice and soft, the "hot" sauce was delicious, and the coleslaw balanced everything out so well. The french fries were super crispy and stayed that way for a good while. The lady taking orders was super sweet and helpful with my first-time order. Told him I had a phone order, seemed a bit irritated and said "we are making it now, 10 more minutes." All I heard was yelling out food, then he opened the door and in a somewhat sassy tone said "I was calling you!" Oh okay well I wasn't going to be rude and cut off people that just walked up the same time. When it came to payment, I did leave tip (even if I only picked up the food) as soon as the option for the receipt: I wanted it text to my phone, in the middle of inputting my number he decided that I guess I was taking to long. my husband wanted to try this location out, the parking isn't hard to find at all. you can just park where hana tea is and walk it down. it didn't look busy so we took our time looking at the menu and when we got what we wanted, we ordered. the cashier was very patient wit us and helped us with ordering, we got the 6 pc shoyu chicken and 6 pc spicy yang nyeom chicken along with large fries. the order was pretty long, i'd say about 30-40 minutes. when we got the order, i had 9 pcs and my husband had 10 pcs which was weird but we both went along with it anyway since the more the merrier lol. the fries were cut tick but came in 2 small bags just like the ones in mcdonalds has in small fries. they also gave ketchup packets and a small size of diced radish. it tasted very good with the chicken. the sauce from the chicken was good, it wasn't too sweet nor sour. i did wish it was a lil spicier to enhance the flavor but it was good overall. i definitely would recommend this location to try out their chicken. they aren't as good as popeyes chicken but definitely better than kfc chicken. if yall ever in town, try this location out. its definitely worth the taste bud. read more

I've been loving soul chicken. I've tried their shoyu, yang nyeom (sweet & spicy) and honey garlic chicken in both wings and boneless. These flavors are all good and most times I would get the honey garlic cause I like garlic but the yang nyeom I would say has the most flavor. You can request it in mild or spicy. They have a very simple menu with fewer flavor options than other korean chicken joints. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I was a little hesitant to try the boneless at first thinking it might be dry but they're actually really meaty and juicy chicken strips. I would recommend ordering the combos which I always do cause I feel like it's a better value. The fries is so darn good, always nice and crispy. They've also started giving complimentary pickled daikon with your order which I appreciate. I also tried the spicy crispy chicken sandwich for the first time and was surprised at how good it was. Crispy juicy saucy goodness. I've been coming here at least once a week. Very friendly staff too. It's best to call in your order cause it could take at least 15-20 min, or more if they're busy. Ordered the family meal with a fries and the mandoo. Also ordered an extra fries since we weren't sure how big one would be. Turned out to be a good size and having ordered two, had way more than enough. Chicken had an excellent coating and a crispy fry. We tried the honey garlic and shoyu flavors. Both were tasty, but the honey garlic was exceptional in my opinion. Even as leftovers the next day, the chicken was still very tasty. The mandoo was good and fine but nothing out of ordinary mandoo. The sweet & spicy boneless chicken was lukewarm and the honey wings was just warm. All the seasoning was in the fried batter and sauce, the chicken meat was very bland, not juicy at all.
