I told Will he doesn't need to worry about or touch any of the 2 bedrooms, hallway, livingroom, but I really needed a deeper cleaning of the bathroom and a tiny kitchen area (more like a bar with a sink and a fridge). I stayed a little bit, we talked, then I went upstairs to clean there myself. He was there for a few hours, I heard him occasionally speaking on the phone with someone. When he finished, he told me the bathroom grout is not cleanable, i should make it white by painting it with a grout marker. For the kitchen sink, he advised me to get a stainless steel cleaner ( I guess to clean it myself after he left, but I thought a cleaning service should include cleaning products and to come prepared and actually clean things) and that he didnt have time to clean the inside of the small, empty fridge. I paid him the money, but I already saw I have to clean, but I didn't want confrontation. When I walked through the place, the cleaning liquid was dripping from the shower ceiling, he forgot to wipe it off. The bathroom window and windowsill was left dirty. The bathroom floor was not cleaned, because the corners had accumulated dirt left behind, as well as behind the toilet and along the vanity. There was dust and crumbs on the hardwood behind the fridge very visible, and the floor was not cleaned, because if it was, it wouldnt have stayed dusty. He did not clean the inside of the fridge indeed, but since the top and the door was dirty (it is a black fridge, so easy to see dust), nor did he clean the outside. Considering he didnt have to clean anything else but those 2 tiny areas, this was a rip-off, maybe I was too nice and he thought I don't care and it's easy money. I don't know what he was doing for those few hours, but I felt cheated, because it was very hard to afford the $160, but I thought it was going to be worth it to save time I didnt have. But I ended up cleaning everything myself. I took pictures to send him the next day, but I felt there was no point.

You said you can do the repair without moving the vanity. You lied. you could not do it and did not do it. I never said not to do it and you know very well the tenant responsible for the damage was footing the bill. your work is shoddy and the photos (please see the horrible work done here) show it. your quote "You directly told us you did not want to move the vanity so we did the best we could under those terms". This is a blatant lie, you said the vanity did not need to be moved to do the job. "you also gave us the saddle to install we didn't purchase it and install it" It is definitely not the right saddle but instead of doing quality work you threw it down to be done with the job. I had to pay to have it replaced with a professional contractor. "You mentioned you wanted to give us more work which doesn't make sense if we did such Terrible work and because we were to busy due to the storm in September 2022 and we didn't get back to you on time you decide to write this false statement on yelp" I asked you to repair this shoddy job and in lieu I would give you more work but instead, you decided to throw these lies on Yelp because you are not an upstanding guy. "Once again another customer who doesn't want to spend to much money" I had no budget constraints and you know that. YOU didn't want to spend the time or money to do the job properly.

I did some more searching and found KD Cares and didn't believe all the good reviews and I wasn't sure the price was actually going to be any cheaper. But I called and Kris answered, on a Saturday, immediately. He asked me every question you can think of about my place like he was walking through the place in his mind. And then he gave me the price, so so much better than the competition and it was going to include everything. The ceilings, walls, closets, trims, floor mouldings, front door. He said no deposit, he pays for all the paint himself first and I just pay half the day of. Honestly it sounded too good to be true. He locked me into a date about 2 weeks out (which is fast for painters I have learned), and before the date came he confirmed with me over text about 3 times. He made sure to send me a COI with everything my building needed. He was so on top of things. The day of, he showed up 15 minutes earlier than I did, with 1 worker. They both really seemed like they actually wanted to be here and help me paint my place. It made me feel like they really were going do a great job. He brought all the paints and equipment and all the colors and finishes we're exactly what we'd specified. When he walked through the place he realized there were some areas that were darker than he expected and would require more coats to cover with the simply white I'd chosen. I told him to charge me extra if he needed and he refused. He was just letting me know. It took them 2.5 days. No delays. I even changed my mind on them for one bedroom and switched out a color after they had already started painting it a bit. In the end, Kris charged me exactly what he quoted me with the exception of $50 for the extra gallon of paint for changing the color which is perfectly reasonable. He left me all the paints and told me he'd come back if anything didn't look great. It's been a week and things are looking great. I highly highly recommend Kris and his team.
