We just moved up to this area and I was looking for a groomer nearby rather than driving to our old one. I am SUPER picky and thought they did a great job and did exactly what I wanted. My goldendoodle is a little over a year old and I love the fluffy teddy bear look, with extra fluff on the head. They nailed it! Every other groomer has told me how he's a barker and they told me he didn't bark at all. I like how the cages are in the grooming area so the dogs can see them while they wait. He was there from 10 AM to 3 PM which kind of surprised me, but he seemed content when I picked him up. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! Took my Shorkie in here over a week ago for the first time & the guy working handed him over and didn't say a word. I got into my vehicle and noticed both of his eyes were COMPLETELY bloodshot, no white in his eyes what so ever. I did research and chalked it up to possible shampoo in the eye or hairs in his eyes that irritated them so I waited to see if it cleared up. He started having multiple episodes of choking so we took him to the animal hospital yesterday. The vet said he had popped blood vessels most likely from STRANGULATION (restraints being too tight or foul play) He is now on steroids, eye drops & a pill to hopefully get him back to his normal happy self. I feel guilty for leaving him in these people's hands. Don't make the same mistake I did! Please avoid this company as I've seen this has happened to other customers small dogs. This place should not be in operation. read more

If you love your dog please don't take it to Soul Doggy. The owner is very unfriendly and doesn't seems that cares about animal. My dog is blind and I asked to not to keep him there hours since he gets upset and cries. Four hours later he called that my dog is ready. when I got there I waited again to make sure that he is done. The owner is very cold and doesn't evern. care to ask you anything about the dog. After I called again for appointment he has blocked my number and doesn't even allow leaving a message. The reason is that when I called for appointment and asked that is it possible to not keep my blind poodle there too long and make an appointment as a first pet. He said it takes month or more if he can take him and then when I called back in few days to talk to him about appointmen after holidays that is when I noticed that he has blocked my number. He doesn't respect his clients and does what pleases him. read more

Do not go here. We took my shitzu in and when I came to pick him up he left with a popped blood vessel in his eye. We took him to our local vet and they said he also has a neck strain, inflammation, and are worried about his eye. THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE FOR YOUR PET. We've been to tons of groomers and have never seen my dog look like the way he did when picking him up. Groomers were very defensive and I sure let them hear it. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Most HORRIBLE experience at Soul Doggy. They messed up both of my dogs haircuts and I got no apology. And on top of that the guy was very rude and super defensive. I specifically asked to leave my puppy's head top long because I do a bow on her head like the picture posted. He claimed my dog was matted and that's why he cut it...! My dog gets brushed everyday, so that excuse did not fly . The rest of her haircut is just as horrible. These people are full of lame excuses. On my other dog, I asked to give her a very short haircut and blend it towards the face to leave it longer. She was almost the same as when I dropped her off. They corrected when I pointed out, but wanted to charge me more! Do yourself a favor AVOID this trap and the very rude guy. read more

I Recently relocated to the Scottsdale area and was in need of a new grooming spot for my toy poodle pup. The first place I tried had a very strange vibe when I walked in and the shop seemed like it was old and not well maintained. I said exactly how I wanted him cut and they ended up giving him a Pom Pom on his tail which I definitely didn't request. So, did a bit more searching and I found Soul Doggy as it was close to where I live. They have a cute little boutique area and the shop is well maintained and clean. The staff was friendly and listened to exactly how I wanted his cut to be. The pricing is also extremely reasonable as well. Will be taking my little guy here for all his grooming. read more

I have a Scottish Terrier which is very recognizable but not an overly popular breed. I've tried a number of groomers in the Phoenix area who all assure me that they are experienced cutting Scotties. That has never worked out well. Sure, she got a cut but it was never right. Soul Doggy was my latest attempt at getting her a decent Scottie cut and they came through. When I brought her in I explained a few things and a guy (owner?) asked questions and explained how he would cut her. We agreed and off she went. About two hours later they called and said she was finished. Note, this was a first. Just about every other groomer I've used kept her for most of the day so she spent a lot of time in a kennel. I picked her up and she looked perfect. Maybe a bit more than other groomers but you get what you pay for. read more

We have taken our mini Goldendoodle, Ta'louse, to so many groomers. Each time it was a terrible experience. No groomer was willing to be patient and work with him. Ta'louse had a scarring experience as a puppy that led him to be aggressive with groomers. We tried training, anxiety meds, anxiety jackets, etc. Nothing helped. We were told the only way to groom him was at a vet's office with sedatives. Before going this route we tried a couple more groomers. We called Soul Doggy, explained the situation and the owner didn't just schedule the appointment, he was eager to help. He allowed our pup to just hang out with him and get accustomed to being at the groomers (he did this for a couple hours at a time for 2-3 days) before he even attempted any services. Now Ta'louse just walks right in and follows them to the back as if he never had an issue. The owner recognized right away that Ta'louse suffered from a scarring experience and went out of his way to help heal him. He knew exactly what to do and how to handle him. Really unbelievable how he has turned this experience around. This team at Soul Doggy is incredible. Only place I trust. They actually care and they do a great job. Thank you guys! read more

I've taken my dog here 4 times trying to give them a chance to get the job done right and it has been a failure each time. Each time they have had to re-do him, ie: groom more or even him out. I'm done. I will not be back and do not recommend. I give them one star for being willing to try to correct what was wrong. read more

If you are picky about how your pup is groomed then you will love this place. This was our second visit and AGAIN she looks beautiful. It is easy grooming Irish Coat Soft coated Wheatie's but the did a lovely groom once again. Also, when we took her to other places for grooming she always came home and hid for a day or two. Took my dog her for a first visit as I heard they were a little less expensive then the one I had been at. Her appointment time was 9:30am and I took her in on time and they said they could call me in a few hours. I asked for short all over but to leave her lashes long , do not cut them. I didn't hear from them and finally around 3:30p I called them and asked if she was ready. The guy said no but to come in 45 minutes and so I did. At this time of my day I was more in a rush- than I would have been had they called me in a few hours from 9:30am- so I paid and tipped and left. When I got her in the car I could see they cut her lashes very short and left her tummy hair long and the hair in between her toes long. Duclaws nails not cut, and I'm sure they forgot the anal glands too! I guess that's what happens when you are in a rush at the end of the day and only have 45 mins before the owner is going to show up! I was totally disappointed and will never be back... I even shared with friends and now they know not to take their dogs there. read more

Don't waste your time or money. I was looking for another groomer because our place closed permanently. I brought in a picture of how I wanted my dog to look. He's said no problem. My dog was very long and wanted her short. After serval hours they never called to say the dog was ready. When I picked up my dog, she looked like she was never even cut. I paid $50 and tipped $15. My dog is a happy dog and when I picked her up she was not happy. Her face legs everything was super long. Look like nothing happened. She pretty much look like she was in a cage for hours. I even bought in a physical picture of how I wanted her to look and he said no problem. Very disappointed. I work hard for my money. It was a complete waste and not to mention a bad time for my dog.
