I got the Aptos Salad, and the was portioned was smaller than I expected for a dedicated salad place (and for these prices), but the freshness of the ingredients and taste were TOP NOTCH! I loved it! There was no leaf left behind! Since it was my first time, I will say the ordering was a tad confusing. So here's a tip for first timers: when you walk in, you order with the person at the ingredients bar (not the cashier), then you go to the cashier to pay. They don't make it right when you order like some other salad places; they get your order and make it in an order they receive them, so you don't stand there after ordering. Keep walking, Lady! (I'm talking to myself.) If you're eating there, you can find a seat and they'll bring it to you, but you clear your own table. I went with a few friends and was sadly disappointed. I felt like for the price I payed, there was stuff lacking. I got the Caesar salad and it was just ok. The best part of the salad was the croutons, the bread on the side was hard and the lettuce in the salad was wilted. read more

Yummy and great service! Honestly, I'm shocked it's all organic produce and organic chicken. They had me at hello with this level of goodness! I really appreciated that they let me swap a couple of things in one of the salads. They also let you build your own. Great place to grab a salad. Parking is right up front off Soquel. There was only a spot or two open at lunch but we were able to snag a spot. Inside is like an assembly line. You can either pick a salad or make your own and go down the row of toppings. The staff is very friendly and patient, and they will accommodate your order as best they can. Salad is pretty decent as well! The Santorini and the Aptos I tried were well balanced with all the toppings. Generous with meat as well which is always a plus. We got it to-go and ate on the cliffs. I recommend getting the salad tossed by them if you are getting it to go and eating right away. Will be back! read more

My one issue with this place is that they don't de-vein and bruise their kale, which I find strange, and frankly, lazy, especially for an establishment that sells nothing but salads. This healthy alternative to fast food is amazing! I had the wasabi salad which had arugula, shredded carrots, cucumbers, avocado, fried crouton strips and fresh ahi. The seared ahi was flavorful and cooked just right. The portion of the ahi was perfect in that there was enough fish to not get buried in the other flavors. I loved the fried crouton strips too. They tasted light and fresh. With all of the positive accolades of the wasabi salad, I didn't taste one bit of wasabi. I like the concept, but for some reason this just didn't work for me. I love salads, and was excited to try the Aptos salad, with ranch instead of the house vinaigrette. The salad was very presentable and a fair size, but was also expensive at 18 dollars. I found the flavors didn't mesh well for me, the greens were a little too bitter and the ranch was very tart, more like a vinaigrette. I ate about half the salad and was over it, I couldn't revisit it later. I wanted to like this place, but ultimately I'd prefer to prep a good salad at home. Excited to have a healthier option in town. I have been here multiple times and it always hits the spot. My favorite salad that I've tried is the shanti. The tumeric dressing is really flavorful and all of the ingredients in it are fresh and go well together. I've also gotten the wasabi salad which was good, I couldn't really taste wasabi in the dressing though so maybe I needed more. The fish was fresh and they don't skimp on it.
