Good pizza place! I usually get the Mississippian pizza and it's always delicious! The variety of sizes is a nice option to have, and I usually get the personal pan - plenty for me! They always put enough cheese and toppings on their pizzas. It is a bit pricey, and it takes a while to get your food, but I will gladly go back there. read more

Be forewarned that the restaurant upcharges $8 for the cauliflower crust option on the pizzas. This charge is not specified on the menu. The menu says there is an additional price for this kind of crust, but does not say that the charge is $8! I ordered a $10ish pizza the size of my hand and ended up having to pay $18 for it. We also got charged for tiny cups of ranch and marinara dipping sauce. You would think each person would at least get one sauce with their meal. I'm sick of all these price gouging upcharges. Takeout Terror. We ordered two personalized small pizzas and went to pick them up. When we got home, we realized that one of the pizzas was wrong, with the wrong sauce. We called and they said they would remake it and we could come pick it up. Upon arrival, about 15 minutes later, they had not even started to remake the pizza. Ordered pizza from here for the first time tonight. I was not impressed. I got a medium chicken Alfredo pizza (see photo). Their pizzas are TINY and thin. I can't imagine trying to feed more than 1.5 people with a medium. Toppings were skimpy as well. I also got a half portion Greek salad - that was good and was a good size too. This thing was the smallest sandwich I'd ever been served, and I mean ever. If I were the owner or manager, I'd be embarrassed to present that excuse of a meal to a customer. It barely even had one layer of roast beef on it. If it measured to equal a six inch sub, I'd be surprised. It came with a dill pickle spear and chips. Their coup du gras was the price tag for this runtish morsel of a sandwich...$10. The flavor was fine but the lack of value is hard to swallow. Word of advice, stick to the pizza and avoid the French dip sunless you want to be as disappointed as I was. Update: This is why I like Soulshine so much and want to make sure I point out that my review was isolated to just that one experience. The owner, Justin, is a hands-on owner. Went back today 2-21-2021 and was hoping since the covid pandemic we'd have a great service and support local. Ordered a small carnivore pizza and a boss Hogg calzone. When it came out, the calzone normally comes out with BBQ but brought marinara. I asked BBG sauce to dip my calzone in since that's how I always eat it and the waitress said no problem. Brought it out and we ate. Food was great and was excited to see things had improved. Then it started down from there. Never got a drink refill for myself till after we through eating as well as my friends that were eating with us. When the bill came out, it want right and that's understandable, but I was also charged for 3 sides of BBQ sauce. When I showed the girl that the menu even shows in parenthesis by the calzone what dipping sauce comes with it, she said no it doesn't, it comes with marinara. We eat there probably once a week. The hummus appetizer is great. Their pizza is also very good. I usually get the down under which is a bbq shrimp pizza. Wow! What disappointing pizza. Even three Fat Tires couldn't numb my taste buds enough to dull the taste of a poorly constructed pizza. The black olives and peppers were sour and tasted of refrigerator haze. The center of the pizza crust was under cooked and the pepperoni was overcooked. The atmosphere was friendly as were my two bartenders. They were both great and the live music (Brian Smith) was excellent. Wish I could say the same for their pizza. Delicious pizza and excellent service and management! I had a large group dinner for 35 people at the Ridgeland location. Although the catering contact did not pass on my order ahead of time (only complaint) the manager was amazing and had our appetizers and food out in perfect time! The setup was great and our server was fantastic! She checked on everyone frequently for drink orders and anything else we might need. The pizza and appetizers were delicious! Worst pizza ever. Soulshine has fallen victim to poor management, namely Lizzy, who would not give me her name at first. I had to ask for her name three times before getting her name. I had the pizza delivered by DoorDash. Whomever is giving out the Togo orders did not give the tea I ordered to the delivery person. When the pizza arrived, it was cold and the crawfish bisque was cold. DoorDash had been waiting at the restaurant 19 minutes BEFORE the order was given to her. The pizza dough literally was absolutely flat, no rise to it. My husband made the comment that dominos had better pizza. He was correct on this order. When I told the manager Lizzy, that the pizza was cold and followed by the statement "that is fine though" she RUDELY interrupted me with a quick "that is not our fault". My response to her was if Chris, the OWNER, was on the phone with her, she would not have rudely interrupted. Lizzy hates her job obviously because at no point did she seem concerned that Soulshine is putting out substandard pizzas. Hell would freeze over before I employed anyone that didn't have the brand and customers at the forefront. I use to work for Soulshine and know that at one point, their pizza was very good. Due to Lizzy's extremely unprofessional attitude...yes...ATTITUDE, I will no longer eat there or recommend the restaurant. Soulshine seems to be doing quite well since they feel that hiring poor managers and putting out bad product won't affect their bottom line. We had a party of 6 consisting of an easily bored 8yr old, a pre-teen, a senior adult (my MIL) who's a very picky eater. As I was helping my MIL try to decide what to eat, our waitress came over and sat down and offered her suggestions. NEVER has another restaurant had a waitress who was that patient! My MIL enjoyed her suggested sandwich very much and our picky eater did the suggested pizza as well. I'm a plain Jane die hard pepperoni lover so I shared a pizza with the kids. Fabulous as always! I have been on a pizza kick lately, and I've just got to say that Soulshine is falling short when compared to Lost Pizza, Sal & Mookies, etc....I know that pizza takes a while to bake, but I find the service to be consistently slow. The last time I went, I just ordered a small pizza with pineapple (if you judge pineapple on pizza, we can't be friends) and it took about 30 minutes to get it. When it arrived, it only had 7 pieces of pineapple on the whole pizza. I was a little peeved to be served a pineapple pizza with hardly any pineapple, but luckily I had quite an amount of Purple Haze in my system and well - I was a bit hazy and ate it up anyway.
