Finally, we came here because of some post we found on Reddit, and it was so easy, they had it done in an hour or so- all they had to do was contact the DMV- they had the direct number to the correct department and show the guy a picture that the car passed and bam, I had my inspection sticker. Plus I went back another time to have them actually work on some things like the brakes and they were great- they gave me an accurate estimate and adhered to it, and I got my car back in a few days. I assumed they were telling me the truth but I didn't tell them to go ahead because my son had booked the car into Queens Auto and Truck Service to look at a possible issue with the suspension (i.e. noise going over bumps). Queens Auto and Truck Service examined the car and said there was nothing wrong with the CV boot or the suspension. Turns out the 'suspension issue' has to do with the sunroof seal drying out and needing to be replaced. I can do that myself. Anyway I will definitely be taking my Lexus to Queens Auto and Truck Service in the future.
