I tried this place for the first time on Friday and my boyfriend and I fell in love with it! It was busy on a Friday night, so we waited about 15 minutes to get our food. We love small places like these that are inexpensive and serves hearty food. I got the salad and my boyfriend got the Sanzini, both which were really good. The salads are "create your own". The wrap was really good, but the portion was a little small. The sweet potato fries were really good and there were various dipping sauces (about 20 different ones). We plan on going back to this place to try out their other dipping sauces and wraps soon! Can't wait! read more

Fantastic food! I love their Kama wrap (though I'm not a fan of the Brie cheese and I get the dressing on the side) but I'm sure everything there is fantastic! The fries, though, are probably my favorite part, specifically the sauces for them. The kicked-up ketchup is amazing (a little spicy, but not too bad), the garlic aioli (bad spelling, sorry!) is pretty good too, but their BBQ is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Really. My boyfriend is picking me up some tonight and he's getting me extra BBQ to use for anything I can think of. It's the best BBQ I've ever tasted. Dine or Ditch? Dine... It's a bird... It's a plane... It's Souper Fry I went here for the first time about a week ago and I'm so surprised this place was not a high school staple. It fits the mold, but somehow alluded me all this time. That being said, it will be a great addition to lazy weekend lunches. It's quick, cheap, and most importantly delicious! First walking in I wasn't sure what to order, but the guy behind the counter said The Sazini (chicken, bacon, mozzarella cheese, and "Roscoe" dressing) is the most popular item on the menu. I went for that and very quickly found out why. It was outstanding! The wrapini was hot and fresh and melty goodness. I would highly recommend this one. I also got the sweet potato fries with the roasted garlic aioli dipping sauce and it was an amazing combo. the fries were pretty good (not the best, but still quite tasty) and the dipping sauce really brought it all together. After my first visit, I came back to try something else that caught my eye and was recommended by a friend. The Kommack Kerry wrapini. It was good, but not as good as The Sazini in my opinion. I'll probably be sticking with The Sazini from here on out, it was THAT good. The staff seemed very helpful as well recommending sandwiches and dipping sauces to make sure I had the best first experience possible. I'll certainly be back sometime soon. read more

I used to come here a lot but it hasn't been as good since they reopened. The prices got higher too. I still came by now and then but I won't be coming back. When I came in the store the two people serving me were wearing masks but a man (I think he's the owner but I'm not sure) was walking behind the counter in and out of the kitchen talking to the other staff without a mask. He didn't even have one around his chin, just a bandana (which is even worse for spreading than not wearing a mask at all, which maybe he didn't know, but it wasn't even covering his face - he just had it around his neck). No gloves either- which is gross COVID or not. It's reckless and irresponsible to be serving food without a mask, for their customers as well as their other employee who can't really stand six feet apart behind their counter and small kitchen. Especially with cases going up and up in Nassau county right now. The guys been known to be kind of a jerk so I'm not super surprised but it really struck me that he didn't even bother to have a mask around his chin or pull up his bandana for appearances sake when multiple customers walked in. On top of that weird experience our food was really disappointing. The soup was crazy salty and my sazini just didn't taste right, like they changed the sauce or something? Kind of glad the food wasn't good so I don't have to feel bad about not going back. read more

First thing I have to talk about - the fries. The really load you up on the french fries. They fill up a carton full, then scoop another load into the bag. I love my french fries, and these are some of the best around. Even better is the dipping sauce it comes with. Good luck picking out a flavor from their 50 or so choices. Equally as good is the rest of the food. I think I get the Sazini? Its a chicken cutlet wrap with bacon and what not. Great tasting sandwhich, high quality food, quick service. The only negative I find with Souper Fry is the size of the sandwhiches, or lack there of. 7 dollars for a pressed wrap is a little pricey. No doubt the sandwhiches are small, however, the taste makes up for it, as well as the quantity of fries you get. Also ordered wings for parties from here which were excellent on any occasion. No hassle as well, they had them ready pretty quickly with no notice. All in all, a great local place, with great food, service, and selection. read more

Decided to give Souper Fry a try after reading some other reviews here. Not only were we not disappointed, we think we may have found a new favorite place! Fries are fresh-cut, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, but the real SOUPerstars here are the sauces. At least 20 of the most delicious concoctions you can imagine... can't wait to try them all! The chili and "wrapini" that we ordered were fabulous as well. Food is great! I've been trying to lose weight and their food isn't exactly conducive to such goals soooooo I stopped. I'll occasionally go for a wrap and when my daughter bugs me to. But we are now hooked. Great Burrito type sandwich/wraps, salads and soup. If you don't like the menu, make it your own. They are very accommodating. Hubby and I tried souper fry for the first time a couple days ago. It was a cozy joint with great service (aka happy friendly servers) who inquired if it was our first time and then plied us with an assortment of dipping sauces so we could decide which one was our fav (garlic!!!!) The wrapinis we ordered were better than your average sandwich shop but what stole the show were the fries. We tried both regular and sweet potato fries. The regular fries were great but the sweet potato fries were the JAM! Pricing was excellent, really giving you a fantastic value for the cost. I would spend my money here any day. Awesome neighborhood food spot. I was a little skeptical at first because i walked in and there were at least a dozen noisy kids. While waiting for my food i realized that the man working the counter knew almost all the kids by first name. Its a safe place for them to go get a bite and hang out after school and i absolutely love that. Now add in the fact that the food is great with multiple different soups pffered everyday. This place is very simplistic with seating at a few tables and has a pizza parlor feel to it. A great choice for a quick bite and something a little different. As you can guess from the name, the soups and the fries are phenomenal here. On my last visit my wife got the broccoli cheddar soup. While I'm usually not a big fan of this type of soup, I tried some of hers and it was great! Not too heavy but great creamy flavor. I ordered a Minnewaska (Buffalo chicken pressed wrap) with tomato. At first glance it looks like a normal sized wrap, but it's actually very filling and really tasty. Great little neighborhood place that caters to local youth and school kids. One of the best wraps/paninis I've ever had! I usually call in my order for pick up. They say it'll be ready in 15 min but once I get there (after 15 min) it's still not ready. Most of the time I'm waiting on the fries but it's worth the wait! I would compare their fries to Five Guys fries! They always give a good amount of it too. My favorite wrapini is the 'Sazini'. Looking for a place to eat lunch and came across this place on Yelp. Small spot with lots of options for Paninis, burgers, fries and soups. I was tempted to try the pork but I settled for a Chicken Quesadilla. It was pretty good, thought the chicken could use a little more seasoning. Got a side of fries that were super greasy (not only in taste but it comes in a paper bag like Five Guys) and they didn't taste great either so I passed. Shared an order of onion rings which were pretty good. They have tons of dipping sauces to choose from which is cool. Great little place for take out.. very, very tasty food. Awesome large selection of dipping sauces for wraps/fries. Only downside -- when considering the type of food this is, I feel it is a bit too pricey, and certain items certainly need to be brought down in price. Stumbled upon this place a couple of years ago and we ordered on a whim. First off, the staff is super relaxed and kind. The vibe is lowkey, and you can tell they enjoy pumping out great food. Love their soups and wrapinis. I always get the Wifey Speaks Thai with extra peanut sauce. I've been delighted with every soup I try. Not a huge fan of their fries, very greasy and sometimes just small bits of fries. I understand their hip decor but it's a bit loud and bright for my tastes. Also, the crowd can be very young. I suggest calling in your order to avoid the long line. It's a bit pricey but it's Merrick. I will keep on picking up what Souper fry is laying down. read more

Unfortunately Souper Fry is back in Merrick. This place is completely overpriced and the portions are the smallest I've ever seen. You get at most 2 ounces of chicken on the Sazini for over $10. Fries aren't even included in the price. The only reason I would ever go here is for the Sazini, but I'd have to pay over $20 for two of them. This isn't Manhattan.
