We took them back and exchanged them for cheesecake which also had hints of mild flavor. We ended up throwing it away vowing to not return. I am the type of person who doesn't mind paying a high price for something special but this is sad and terrible that anyone would run a business this poorly and get a way with it for so long. In some of them, the filling ran down the side to make a chewy, caramel texture that adds another layer of depth to the pastry. As for the scones, they're soft and at a perfect sweetness level. There's ribbons of icing that graces the top, and has hardened so that you get a little crunch as you're eating it. The store owner was very helpful and let us know that she makes pastry gift baskets and that they can ship anywhere to the US and even some international countries. I'll be sure to stop by again, as there's a wide variety of baked goods to try (pies, cookies, cake balls, tarts, and more) and everything is baked on site.
