I absolutely LOVE this sandwich place !!! You can choose from three different sizes of sandwiches and you can also add chips or a soup for a combo !! I can't tell if the bread is homemade, but it's crispy and absolutely delicious! I tried the tomato soup, amazing flavor, and a good portion size. Inside looks awesome but each time we've been there, we preferred to eat outside and enjoy some fresh air and watch all the chaotic scenery going on.

My experiences have been mostly good, with some room for improvement. The staff is friendly and they try, but after more than a month, they still seem a little disorganized, inconsistent, and unsure. I'm hoping this small eatery will run like a well-oiled machine, eventually. The prices are a bit high for the fare, in my opinion. The first thing I tried was the brisket sandwich, and I thought it was delicious. I liked the flavors and the quality was pretty good. They offer a huge selection of yummy sounding sandwiches! I'll definitely be trying more of those. Next, I tried the flatbreads, and that's what keeps bringing me back! They're delicious and satisfying! My favorite is the BBQ chicken flatbread. I've had it several times. Once or twice it was not quite cooked and a bit doughy, though. The mushroom flatbread is also good, but a bit stingy on the mushrooms (see photo). My most recent purchase was a cranberry turkey lettuce wrap sandwich, but they were out of lettuce leaves for the wrap, so they put it on chopped lettuce for me, like a salad. That was excellent-- I loved it-- so fresh! Lettuce wraps aren't even on the menu, but apparently they'll do them. For some reason, none of the salads on the menu jump out at me, and I love salads. I'm looking forward to trying their soups, but I wish they offered some kind of combo with soup, a side salad, and a piece of sourdough bread. All the menu items are large, with no sides except chips. In summary, I consider Sourdough & Co. a work in progress. I'm really rooting for them, and I hope the owner can fix the minor operational issues, because I think it has good potential. Santa Maria's restaurant selection is abysmal, so I sure hope they stay in business!

The staff is great, super friendly and gave us the run down of the menu! I stopped by this weekend and it packed! Glad to see the thriving business. The salad was fresh and delicious! They have plenty of seating inside with public tables also available outside.

I spent over $60 on food for 2 people and they didn't even have their house spread and told me they ran out after I ordered my food and paid. Too disappointing to be that expensive

One of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. I ordered the turkey and salami on freshly baked sourdough and had it served hot. The bread was incredible, everything tasted fresh, and the sandwich was simple but done extremely well. I enjoyed it so much that I honestly don't know if I can go back to the usual sandwich chains after this. Definitely coming back! I recommend ordering online ahead of time to avoid the line and have your order ready when you arrive.

Delicious Cobb salad, absolutely loaded with goodies. Even comes with some bread slices on the side. Will definitely get again.

Brisket sandwich was room temperature. The cheese was not even melted. The bread is plain and hard. Definitely not worth $15 a sandwich.

My kids and I arrived a little before 11:30 lunch rush and ordered at kiosk. Our food came out promptly but my salad had eggs which were frozen (visible ice around the yolk) and the cherry tomato was soft, while the avocado which looked a little brown/oxidized. All in all, it fell below the mark. There is only one person working the register and helping people with to go containers/food issues/pick ups, etc and they are clearly short staffed during lunch peak. If you need anything, you have to stand around for a while. They refused to give me a to go container for my club sandwich, stating that they could only provide a paper bag. It was evident that cashier simply wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible and had no desire to resolve my simple request. I can't recommend coming here during lunch rush.

We got to see a number of his cousins, plus our grandson. The weekend was a blur of driving and activity, and then it was time to head back south toward home. We often stop in Santa Maria for gas. Before they shuttered, we ate at Cracker Barrel a number of times. In the same shopping plaza there's a Habit Burger. We decided to give them a try, have a meal, and decompress from the busy weekend for a short time. Ordering went smoothly. I miss their charbroiled cheeseburgers as I can't tolerate cow's milk cheese anymore. Just a plain burger isn't that interesting to me. Habit does have the option of grilled tuna, which is quite unique in the fast casual dining space. I wasn't that hungry, so opted for their chicken strips, and DH and I shared half and half fries and onion rings. Not the fanciest meal ever, but it was nice to relax together and enjoy decent quality food. Habit seems to source better quality ingredients than some other chain restaurants do. I like that they offer salads, but I wasn't in that mood either. The food was hot and fresh once our order was available and we had the dinner break we needed to push on to the rest of the trip home. Interior of the restaurant was clean. Service was friendly. All good.
