A great drive through spot! The staff is super friendly and the coffee is delicious - not too bitter or sour - which a lot of small shops fall victim to. Prices are on par with your giant chains - but because they're local it feels better spending here. My new go to in Olympia. read more

Asked for extra peanut butter in my smoothie ( the bottom of the cup was loaded with sugary syrup). Called back as I was driving away because I couldn't taste any let alone " extra " the gal said she put peanut butter and hung up. just saying could have been better. went to a place on Marvin road and 10000 times better they even put a ribbon of peanut butter in the cup and made it look so fancy. its The little extras. read more

The coffee I've gotten here has been pretty good, but they seem WAY over priced. I got 2 mochas and a muffin last time I went and my total was $17. I was shocked! The gal inside also didn't seem to be able to hear me, but she never actually came up to the window to talk to me. This coffee shop truly is amazing. The employees always engage conversation, and even if you aren't feeling like talking, they'll contribute to the conversation and they always make my heart feel lifted, and it always makes me happy. By far some of the best coffee around, made by wonderful people. I ran an espresso business for years, and drink coffee every day, so I have my standards! :) I drive far out of my way to still come here, not willing to give up what used to be my local coffee place. Sure, OCR and B&B have big reputations fairly well earned, but I put my money on SBC if they ever all went head to head. SBC beats most anyone anywhere. I pulled in for a cup of coffee and was charged an extra 90 cents for cream!! Are you kidding me? No thanks. They never told me about the insane upcharge. I caught it and reversed the charge. They told me everyone else is happy to pay ....a regular coffee with almost a buck extra for cream ... ha! read more

Boycotting this place. For a year! Very unprofessional service on a couple of occasions by two very obnoxious baristas. Also the coffee is good, but way overpriced and the baristas are annoying when they squeeze you for tips on top of that. I bought a 15 bar pump espresso machine which strangely enough makes coffee as comparably good to theirs and I'm saving $5 every time I DON'T patronize this place. read more

First of all South Bay Coffee is THE BEST coffee stand you will ever go to. I have been to many, many coffee stands and always feel like something is not quite right. South Bay Coffee is always consistent. I drive 6 miles out of my way just to go here. I've tried a lot of the menu and nothing ever disappoints. The taste of their coffee is above everywhere else I have been to. Their house made whipped cream is amazing as well. Even the Red Bull italian sodas taste better here. I highly recommend trying a blended mocha, layered carmel macchiato or a blended lotus. I'm so glad I found this place! read more

What makes South Bay Coffee so incredible? Is it because they are placed conveniently down the street from my kids school? Or they have so many varieties/flavors? They have nailed the blended chai tea, not that liquid stuff. If your into a refreshing frappacino then ask for the Lemon its one of my favorites. They have excellent Baristas and great biscuits and gravy to go. read more

I saw a friend advertise this place on FB so I went and tried it out today! It is very easy to find. It is manicured with pretty flowers and sharp paint colors. I got 3 different frappacino's and a hot chocolate. Everything tasted great at a good price. But most of all, the barista was so friendly and helpful with my questions! I will definitely be going back! I love to support local people, but it's just so much nicer when you go somewhere and get such friendly service! read more

This small drive thru has good coffee and an unpredictable availability of pastries, which are pretty good. It seems like the staff know most of the clientele and are personable (talkative) with folks. So, if you're in a hurry it can be frustrating (until it's your turn). It's nice to have a full time neighborhood source for drive-thru coffee when you're on the go. read more

The best coffee shop in town! I have been known to go out of my way to come to this stand as opposed to others that may be closer, just because it is THAT good. Maybe a little pricier than some of its competitors, but you get what you pay for. This coffee is amazing! Also one of the only shops in town that offer Oat milk as an alternative milk- so good! read more

To give credit where credit is due, the coffee is very good and the service is friendly. The reason for 3 stars is this coffee stand is obnoxiously expensive. Literally more expensive than Starbucks. My standard quad, 1 flavor Americano is $4.75 at this stand, which is about a dollar more than the average anywhere else I go. The most bothersome piece is this is the only coffee stand I have EVER been to in over 20 years of being a regular coffee stand customer that charges for a splash of cream in my Americano. And I'm not referring to whip cream - just regular old cream that everyone else provides for free. It's unfortunate. I live in the area and drive further away because I'm unwilling to pay their extraordinary prices. read more

Poor customer service. I have attempted two times to get coffee, leaving empty handed. The barista, both times, ignored me as she sat and spoke with other customers. We opened South Bay Coffee Company in July of 2012. Eager to serve only the best with the best barista's in town. Sharing our craft of pulling great shots, steaming frothy milk with a smile. Our house specialty recipes are brought to you seasonally throughout the year. In 2015 we opened a 2nd location in Aberdeen, WA. So if you are head for a day at the beach look for us at the front of the Walmart parking lot next to McDonalds.

At the speaker, the barista repeated my order back correctly. When I got to the window, she told me the total, I paid, and then before handing me my drinks she informed me that they hadn't charged me for the second drink. I was confused because the total had already been around $10, so I asked how that could be if one drink hadn't been rung up. She explained that the price included all of the add-ons, but when I looked at the receipt on my phone, it wasn't clear at all. In fact, the receipt made it appear as though both drinks had already been charged. I was then charged a second time for the missing drink. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. However, many businesses will either honor the original total or apologize for the inconvenience when the mistake is on their end. Neither happened here. To make matters worse, after paying again, I was handed drinks that were incorrect, they were the wrong size and not what I had ordered. When I questioned it, the barista simply went back to what she was doing without apologizing or offering to fix the situation. After I left, I looked at the second receipt, and it also didn't make much sense. It's really unfortunate because my family spends a lot of money here. Between my kids getting Italian sodas and our coffee runs, we're regular customers. I usually enjoy the ambiance and the staff, however, was very disappointed with my experience. A simple apology and an effort to make things right would have gone a long way. Instead, we left feeling overcharged, with the wrong drinks, and like our concerns didn't matter. The salmon lox was also really good but we didn't care for the capers because it made it really sour. I would get it without the capers next time. Overall this place is wonderful and I would definitely come again to try their homemade bread/sandwiches next time! The lines are long for a reason.... It's good stuff! But the lines go relatively quickly. Just make sure you know what you want when it's your turn. Parking is basically street parking. I gave it 4 stars because I think it's a bit pricey but I would pay again because it's worth it.
