    Buffalo Cauliflower Wrap

Swung by this brewery on a road trip with some friends and can I say, it was quite the experience. Food was subpar and the meat in the nachos was dry and not flavorful. I did like the dill potato salad, however, and my friend and I agreed it was surprisingly the best thing we tasted that evening. There was karaoke happening at the time we stopped by for dinner and we were requested multiple times to participate while we were in the middle of dining. Overall, thankful to have had this dining option while on the road but it isn't a spot I would go out of my way to recommend to others.

What just happened?! We wanted to like this place. Local, trendy ish, even served #indianawhiskeycompany whiskey. The good: the flatbread pizza was decent, The location .. cool. And had a cool vibe. The bad: the brisket sandwich, the brisket was ok. What there was if it, But was so small and the bread, wheat? Huh? And almost no brisket. And they charged like $14. Same as the pizza which was 3x the size. Back to the drawing board. And the service, started out ok, but when we said something about the sandwich they developed a case of avoidance. Deuces. Will have to try again since it's local.

Came for the local brews, stayed for the soft pretzel with cheese and ranch, will return for the Buffalo cauliflower wrap! Wow this is such a cool place downtown! With indoor and outdoor seating in an open air environment it's a fun place for all ages - even kiddos! We ordered a few flights, the pretzel with house-made habanero cheese (not spicy at all!) and house-made ranch, the Buffalo cauliflower wrap, tacos, and brisket sandwich and all of it was amazing! The dips alone are worth coming back for - one of the best ranch dressings I've tasted. My daughter loved the roasted red pepper hummus.

The outside patio; ready for lunch after a bike ride into downtown.

This is a great little brewery in the downtown area next to the old State Theatre. The South Bend Brew Werks (SBBW) has a nice outside sidewalk patio with a couple bike racks out front. We did a bike ride into downtown, locked up our bikes and sat down for lunch. Caitlin was our server and she was lively, fun and knew the overall menu quite well. When she mentioned the day's special, which was the mushroom crunch wrap, I was sold. It was a completely homemade vegan burger that included spinach inside the wrap and a tasty special sauce. It came with homemade vegan potato salad that was spiced with a perfect little kick! My friend had the Spicy Brisketwich which was their house brisket with habanero cheddar cheese, provolone and roasted jalapeños on toasted sourdough bread. Her side was the house hummus (also vegan) with carrots and celery, which was the chef's creation with seasonal ingredients. We shared each other's choices and loved everything we ate. We were both amazed how great the vegan items tasted, especially the mushroom crunch wrap. Definitely a fun and tasty brewery in downtown South Bend! And cheers to the chef's homemade creations.

Great place for a brew. We stopped here on a couple of days and it has an awesome vibe. The outdoor patio is wonderful. Beers are really good and the staff are so awesome. Great location, great beer, super service and a chill vibe. Nothing else needed.

Roasted ToMMMato BLT n cole slaw

Stopped by for a bite n a drink. We enjoyed the cheesy bread, roasted ToMMMato BLT w/ pub chips and a side of cole slaw. Service was excellent, nice spot to chill with friends. Friday night Karaoke night ppl having a great time.

Stopped by for a quick beer before a Cubs game. It definitely hit the spot and had a great taste. The service was attentive and I would definitely make this a pregame stop before another game.

We sat on their beautiful patio with a perfect view of the St. Joseph River- what a treat! There are opportunities to sit in so many places it felt a bit like a maze in the best way- so much to see! And with all of these places to sit, on a lovely Friday night- this place was poppin'! So we'd likely recommend a reservation if you think of it, but I'm certain the wonderful staff would be able to fit you in as they can! We waited a moment for our food, but with our large group, we were happy to do so as the food was worth the wait! Many of our group got OG Burgers while others opted for chicken wings and brisket sandwiches, or even tacos! They really had it all! The food had a bit of a kick with the spice, but as someone with not a high spice tolerance, it was not too much at all! I didn't get a chance to snap a pic of our dishes because we just scarfed them down- Ha! The service was attentive, but also really independent and relaxed! Cared for, but not micromanaged in the slightest! Free to laugh loud and make memories with no rush out! Worth the stop if you can make it! What a joy!!

Our server was attentive and we were pleased to hear they have a dedicated gluten free fryer and plenty of GF options.. Everyone enjoyed the beer and ciders. We sat at a picnic table on the deck under a large umbrella. Great views of both the river and the train bridge! The dining room is handicap accessible, but there is a platform step inside the door to get onto the deck. Still a great choice!

It was one of the better restaurant experiences that we've had recently. Located a mile north of the Indiana Toll Road, we found this place based on a search knowing this area was where we wanted to stop for dinner on our traverse to Chicago. It looked like a fun spot from the description and was certainly something different. An additional consideration was that we had our 21-month-old granddaughter and needed a place where we could so find something that appealed to her. Burgers are usually a good bet. The location on Simonton Lake was beautiful. It facilitated a treat before we ever stepped into the restaurant. There was a family of swans on the water with the parents and their six cygnets. They were indeed fun to watch. The lake created a wonderful setting from the outset. Upon entry, we were greeted by the friendly staff and were accommodated with a booth in the main dining room quickly. Our waitress, Kayla, attended to us right away and did a terrific job. We were well cared for during our visit. The food was delivered in a timely fashion without undue delay. We started with an order of Onion Rings, which turned out to be a great choice. They were crispy with flavorful breading that was not so thick as to be overwhelming. We also tried a couple of cocktails. While we like a glass of wine with our meal, we're not really cocktail people. But these intrigued us. I tried the Peach Sangria, which was very good. My wife had the Jameson Ginger Sparkler. Jameson and Ginger Ale has been a favorite of hers since we experienced the Jameson Factory tour in Dublin several years ago. This concoction was a nice take on that theme. Both drinks were "dangerous" because they were so tasty that you didn't notice they contained alcohol. In spite of the fact that this is primarily a burger pub, we found two salads that intrigued us for our mains. One was actually in keeping with the theme of the restaurant, as my wife had the Flippin Burger Salad. As the name suggests, it featured burger on greens with her choice of honey mustard dressing. She shared that with our granddaughter. They were both happy with the choice. I had the Flippin Whitefish Salad. The fish was nicely done and it seemed appropriate since we were by the lakeshore. I found it to be quite satisfying with the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Unfortunately, they no longer make their Mango Chardonnay Dressing that used to accompany this salad. I've never had the chance to try it but it sounds like they should consider bringing it back. The total for our meals with food, drinks, tax and tip was $68. At $34 each as well as having enough to feed a toddler, we were very happy with this given the experience. We'll look forward to a return visit now that we know this place is there.
