Kinda a guy review, but I hope everyone reads and has similar thoughts and feelings. So this haircut thing started yesterday when I went to my normal barber because it's a good cut at an ok price. I know I get cheap sometimes, and this was one. So I walk in and there is a line of 6 people waiting on four full chairs. No thx! Go to option 2 in Encinitas. 2 chairs, 4 people waiting.... No. Like WAY no! So I call Kris at South Carlsbad Barbers and thought to myself "you get what you pay for.. " I made an appointment for 3pm in a beautiful building with other stylist types and nail salons. All very clean and professional. Need a code to get in. She meets me and gives me exactly the cut I wanted and needed. No waiting, no screaming (Encinitas...) and yes it's a bit more but I learned a valuable lesson that my time is worth more than hoping I get a chair for less. End of story. Kris is absolutely amazing! I have always had a male barber, not that I was ever trepadascious with a female. But she is hands down the best barber I've ever had! Had an OK cut. She offered to fix it if there was anything wrong. When I came back a few days later to make that fix, she wanted to charge me and I was really uncomfortable with that considering it was a minor fix after a fully paid cut. We agreed that it wasn't a good fit. read more

When my hair stylist (and good friend) moved out of the country, I was worried that I'd never find someone I could trust doing my hair as much... but thankfully, my friend suggested I try Kris... and she is wonderful! The best hair stylist I've ever been to, I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. I've been going to her for almost two years now, I've had my hair done by celebrity stylist and I can confidently say she does a much better job than any of them.
