This is a review for the resort -- have wanted to stay in Temecula at a hotel in the vineyards with a pool. Stayed in a room in the Tower, and probably would have preferred one in the Villas for an additional cost. The room was a corner unit and larger than I expected with a view of the vineyard. The amenities were decent with a Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge, desk area, loveseat and king bed. Would have been nice to have a robe. Nice balcony, and actually saw a hot air balloon land in the nearby parking lot! Pool area was decent with lots of lounge chairs and a few cabanas. They do have room service, plenty of parking, on-site spa (did not try), and a wine tasting room (did not try) near the restaurant ... separated from the hotel. The decor in the lobby area is a little dated, but neat and clean -- front desk staff were very friendly. read more

My brother and I ordered the Croque monsieur - This Croque Monsieur had all the excitement of plain toast wearing a slice of ham. It was dry, lacked flavor, and completely missed the rich, indulgent qualities that make a great Croque Monsieur. A real letdown. read more

First stop on our wine tour. The guy that helped us was on Point with his dry and sweet wine knowledge. He went through his little tutorial of each wine, what was in it, what you could smell or taste. My daughter asked him about stronger wine's which he was happy to go into detail about. They had a barrel wine, which my daughter loved, then I had to ask "hey do you have a port". Yes they do, a delicious, exquisite, red port and a white port. I purchased one. Oh and the little shareable menu please try their homemade hummus. It was delicious. I will be coming back here for our anniversary to stay at one of the villa's. And don't forget to stop in the gift shop there were so many cute things in there. read more

We absolutely loved our stay at South Coast winery resort and spa! We booked a two day stay for a Valentines weekend getaway, including a couples massage reservation, and a dinner reservation at the Vineyard restaurant on site. When we arrived and checked in, we were given complementary tasting room coupons and immediately went to the tasting room to check out their wines and relax a bit. The tasting room was classy and busy with a gift shop and very helpful staff who immediately set us down the path toward learning more about South Coast wineries offerings. We had a wonderful time sampling their wines and their food was spectacular. We highly recommend their charcuterie platter, which was definitely next level. And by and far worth the price! Check out the picture below. Our room was amazing. We booked a room in one of the little clustered villas, which are basically groups of four individual rooms attached to each other, but separated by a central courtyard. The cool thing about these is that you have your privacy completely. None of your walls adjoining the walls of any of the other three rooms in your cluster. So there's no worry about noise from the neighbors or disturbing your neighbors with any noise of your own. Plus, our room had a gas fireplace that was very romantic, and a little terrace outback for enjoying the nice weather and the views of this surrounding vineyard. Very romantic and relaxing. Everything is pretty much within an easy walking distance from the villas as well. You can go to the spa or the hotel or the tasting room or the pool all within just an easy five minute walk or so. I'll do reviews of the restaurant and the spa itself separately, but I will say here that both of them were definitely top-notch first class and well worth making a reservation during your stay. Pro tip number one: make reservations for the hotel for the restaurant and for the spa. And make them in advance. You'll thank me. Pro tip number two: book your stay through the hotel itself instead of a third-party app. There are many bonuses and discounts you'll receive along the way for doing so and a complementary bottle of wine upon check-in. Definitely a lesson hard learned by us but next time we'll be doing it that way. Pro tip number three: joined the wine club. It's a great value. 25% off all wines and serious discounts on merchandise and even your stay at the hotel and your spa services! The wines are pretty affordable to start with but with a 25% discount, it's just a deal you can't pass up. We were so impressed with the winery all of its amenities and its location and value for the money that we will definitely be coming back and recommending it to others. read more

Explored a couple wineries this past weekend starting with South Coast. I'll keep it brief-this place was nice. The atmosphere, ambience and environment was nice and clean. Even on a nice Saturday afternoon during brunch hours, it wasn't too crowded or busy at all. We mostly stayed in the tasting room then went in the member's lounge for bit before taking a walk outside. It's pretty spacious, attracting more of a mature older crowd, if that's your thing. The staff we encountered were all enthusiastic. They even had a taco guy there near the member's lounge which was great- they had a mushroom taco for my veggie people and a cheese quesadilla for the vegetarians. While I had a good time, I'm not sure I'd ever come back here. It wasn't bad, just nothing compelling me to come back-especially since I'm not a drinker, just came to explore with some friends. I'm particularly looking for the winery with the best brunch menu and an interesting crowd of people, which I didn't find here. If you enjoy wine, good scenery and a somewhat lokey spot where you can get out, yet, still have some space to yourself and escape the crowds, this is probably the winery for you. read more

We stayed here for a romantic weekend getaway, and from the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the front desk staff and guided to our accommodations. We were upgraded to one of the villas, which was absolutely amazing. The rooms are elegantly designed with a charming old-vineyard aesthetic. The bathroom was massive with plenty of counter space, and the bed was incredibly plush and comfortable. My favorite feature was the small patio area that opened directly onto the vineyard, complete with a table and chairs. It was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or end the night with a glass of wine. During our stay, we booked a wine-tasting tour that took us to several local wineries. Afterward, we walked to the property's own tasting room and later enjoyed dinner and drinks onsite--super convenient. All in all, our long weekend was wonderfully spent, and we will definitely be returning. read more

stayed for my son's soccer tournament. nice property all around. the hotel itself is low rise and slightly dated. however, that's made up for with the winery and tasting room and the grounds they occupy. we brought the kids so perusing the tasting room was a bit ambitious. lots of bachelor and bachelorette parties and the accompanying debauchery that surrounds those occasions. but, we managed thanks to the space in outdoor areas of the winery. the room itself was very spacious and afforded us a nice view of the vineyard outside. we were on the 2nd floor had a walled off balcony area that was not as pleasant to have to stand over to see anything. but, there was a nice seating area. we had a king sofa bed in the room which was nice perk. unfortunately, that thing had seen better days. the bathroom was large and had a huge soaking tup. we did order room service, but, surprisingly, it came in to-go containers. i would've thought a place like this would have actual plates and silverware. overall, a nice stay. the price was a little inflated due to the tournament, but, we'd stay again if the price was right. read more

South Coast Winery Resort was one place I wanted to visit while in Temecula because it's the only winery with a spa resort and a salt water pool. Winery and Spa resort sounded ideal, because after an anxiety feeling day dealing with medical appointments, spa time was much needed. The spa facility looked clinically clean. Was lucky to able to book a spa session melon massage which was devine. Some of the spa products used had ingredients from the vineyard some had a subtle scent of earth while others exuded scent of fresh crushed grapes, all very therapeutic and relaxing. Service from the staffers was fantastic. Would have been nice to luxuriate by the salt water pool all day while sipping chilled wine but due to time constraints my visit didn't include that and it was too hot outside for my comfort level and intolerable. The decor appeared to be dated but the resort has rooms overlooking the vineyards which were spectacular. The concierge can help with other activities ie hot air balloon rides, which I didn't do but I will save that for another time. This resort is considered 4 stars mainly for all the amenities it offers but I wouldn't consider is Beverly Hills standards Luxurious. The resort grounds and vineyards are within 60 acres, enough space to wanderlust, when the weather is cooler and I will have to return to all the activities offered at South Coast Winery Resort. I am reviewing their wines and event I attended, they sold out their resort 4 months before the wedding I was to attend so I didn't get to stay there. They did offer me one night for $595, sorry but no. The wine is pretty bad, honestly. The cab was bad and the others were okay but wife got headache the next day from the sparking wine. They don't have good signs on where to go when you arrive from off-property but we eventually found it. The food at the event just short of terrible. A terrible overcooked piece of meat was not eat by anyone at our table. That said it is really nice facility and the wedding came off great, but the food and wine weren't good. I was warned that their wines were bad, but we planned to do the tasting, but the rehearsal event they serviced them and I knew it was a big pass. read more

I've been a South Coast Winery wine club member for over 15 years, and I can honestly say I've always received wonderful service here. That said, today's experience was truly exceptional thanks to Natasha. I came in for a wine tasting and, as usual, ordered my go-to mushroom flatbread. Natasha suggested adding steak--and wow, that recommendation took the dish to a whole new level. Absolutely delicious. Natasha was incredibly knowledgeable about the wine selections and took the time to understand my palate. Every recommendation she made was spot-on--100% accurate based on what I like. I ended up purchasing quite a few bottles because her suggestions were that good. She was friendly, attentive, and made thoughtful food recommendations when I asked. From start to finish, she was an absolute pleasure and made an already great winery experience even better. South Coast Winery continues to impress, and Natasha is a true standout. Stayed here during a girls weekend, and had a great time! The rooms are in smaller "huts" rather than a traditional hotel building, and they are spacious. Each room had a fridge which was great. The pool was peaceful and the lawn by the tasting room was inviting. The sparkling wines were great! The second column of wines which were like the whites and bubble blends were ok. Didn't try the reds since it was hot out. It did get busy with wine tours and getting refills took awhile. They made up for it with an extra pour. The staff was pleasant all over the property. The room cons: The beds are a bit firm, and the AC wasn't adjustable in our room so the temperature would go from a bit too warm to cold while sleeping as it would kick on and off. The walls are also thin and no fan in the bathroom so you can hear anyone using the bathroom. The pool was peaceful and a nice end to our weekend. Would I go back? Absolutely! I may consider staying elsewhere though just for my own comfort preferences read more

I was unable to edit my previous review and I wanna update. All my issues were resolved with a very friendly staff. I got the microwave. I even got a discount. On my stay. When I couldn't find my keys, I got help from the staff. I had a wonderful day at the spa, it's called grapeseed spa, and I would highly recommend it. To say the least I was extremely disappointed with my experience and stay here. I will say I did wait to write this review as I was working with hotels.com and the BBB to get this handled before I wrote the review to include any resolves. Nothing was resolved. This experience was from the end of 2024. I booked this hotel on hotels.com for my wedding weekend (2 nights) so that way I and all the ladies could get ready in the morning of our wedding and then so my husband and I had a hotel for after our wedding. I booked the hotel through hotels.com as I was promised by their site that I would not be charged until I was at the hotel. South Coast Winery Resort & Spa charged me for the first night, the same day I booked for half the amount (~$500). I didn't realize it until my credit card statement was released and I called hotels.com immediately. They told me to call the hotel. The hotel told me to call hotels.com as that was not their policy. I called hotels.com and demanded that they keep their offer and they called the hotel trying to rectify the problem. Hotels.com tried to call the hotel multiple times but never received a response. The line was just always ringing. When I tried to call this hotel back I experienced the same problem multiple times. Hotels.com told me they couldnt fix the issue since they couldnt get ahold of this hotel. I called back and forth about this issue for months but it was going no where and I didn't want to lose my booking as I wouldn't have a hotel room option big enough for getting ready in the area of my wedding as all other hotels were already booked. Fast forward to check-in day. I received my keys and show up to a room that is not at all close to the images of the room I booked online. It's missing an entire dining room and kitchen and individual suite. It's just a room with a bed and couch and a fireplace with a kitchenette. I was shocked and immediately went to rectify the issue with the hotel but they told me that hotels.com lied to me about the booking and that there was nothing I nor they could do. When I spoke with the hotel management team, they could not have cared less about this. They told me to find another hotel as they had already booked out all of their wedding suites. They gave me no help or offer of even finding me another hotel. Everything in the area was booked so I could not find an alternative. While this was happening, their phones would be ringing and no one would pick them up. Shows how hard it is to reach service/assistance at this hotel. While I do blame hotels.com mostly for this experience, the lack of customer care, the lack of response and help from the hotel, and the fact the hotel knew this was an ongoing issue with hotels.com but didn't tell/warn guests is insane to me. They did play a large part in ruining our weekend because of this. The hotel refusing to work with hotels.com was just as ridiculous as them allowing hotels.com to sell their fake names/mislabeled hotel rooms. South Coast Winery Resort & Spa never mentioned in any of my prior calls with them that the rooms could be fake/lies from what is stated online. As I was too upset to go back to hotel management again, my friend went for me and spoke with them. They were slightly more accommodating to her by offering a bottle of wine for our troubles. Obviously this was not helpful whatsoever. Since there were no other available hotels, we did have to complete our stay. When I went to check out on the last day, there were three other married couples complaining about their stay at the hotel and some even had their wedding ceremonies/receptions here this same weekend. All had complaints about their wedding experience with the incompetent hotel and staff on top of their stay at the hotel. It didn't make me feel better to know others had their special weekends ruined too, but it all started to make sense as to why all of our experiences were like this. If you have any special event I wouldn't stay here if you are depending on the hotel or its staff. I will say although I did not get what I thought I booked, the hotel room was still nice. Not worth what we paid but still a nice room overall and we made it work because we had no other choice. Wish we could have had a better experience here. read more

They have a members area, with a private tasting room and seating area; the seating area is on a patio, so you can enjoy drinking al fresco. This review is specifically for the tasting room: It's not my first choice for wine tasting, we were in a group for a birthday. The decor is strange, and the tasting room is small. With only about 3 people behind the bar it's hard for them to get through the 5 tastings on the card. We found ourselves waiting a while to get 1 oz of tasting at a time. The star of the show was the bartender Nick. He saw we were waiting a while and made sure to make us feel special and was extremely attentive and kind! 5/5 stars for Nick! I'm attending an event in Temecula and decided to try out a villa for the first time. The place itself is nice, and I've never been to a wine vineyard before. However, my experience with the guest service and amenities was disappointing. On Saturday, August 9, 2025, around 7 pm, I tried to order room service by pressing the custom button on the villa phone, but it was a busy signal. I waited for a few minutes and tried again, but it was still busy. I then called the front desk and got the same result - busy signal. I had to call the external number to get connected to the front desk. When I mentioned the issue with front desk, the representative (who I think was named Lyndsey) suggested I try calling room service again and leave a message. I pointed out that I couldn't leave a message because the line was busy. After multiple attempts, I finally got through to room service, but the representative told me they didn't have bottled water and transferred me back to the front desk. Frustrated, I ended up calling my nephew to bring me bottled waters. The poor customer service from both the front desk and room service was disappointing. Unless things change, I would consider staying at a different hotel in Temecula for my next visit. read more

This past Saturday evening South Coast Winery (SCW) hosted a Porsche unveiling event sponsored by Porsche of Riverside, and Porsche of Ontario to showcase their new Macan EV, Macan GTS EV, and Macan Turbo EV to the delight of all in attendance. The invitational event was for current Porsche owners and their guests only. South Coast Winery property proved to be an excellent venue for the event, with its lavish restaurant, tasting room, souvenir shop, ample parking, and an expansive outdoor garden area where the event was held. Prior to the unveiling entertainment was provided by a DJ and a very talented violinist playing popular music. All in attendance were given a wine tasting card for sampling 4 varieties of South Coast wines, and two tickets for your choice of beer and wine from the two bars setup in the garden area. In addition, there was a buffet of breads, cheeses, crackers, and fruits, as servers provided succulent hot hors d'oeuvres such as grilled shrimp skewers, crab cakes, roasted bacon skewers, etc. Everything was cooked to perfection and everyone seemed to be delighted. Once the vehicles were revealed everyone had the opportunity to photograph, touch, enter, and converse with the dealership personnel regarding the specifics of the vehicles while continuing to enjoy the evening. Prior to departure everyone was presented with a token of gratitude in the form of a gift bag from Riverside & Ontario Porsche. Totally an enjoyable evening. Bravo! The grounds of this place are amazing, you can tell why it's a destination for weddings, parties or other events. We had a chance to sample about five different wines the best of which was a bourbon barrel aged wine which was super smooth. We came here mid week so it wasn't overly busy and we felt the service was attentive to us without feeling rushed. My friend and I went here for brunch before heading over to Marietta for a spa day. We both ordered the eggs benedict which had a surprisingly tasty twist with focaccia bread and delicate sliced ham. Our server was a bit slow and not super attentive to us, luckily we weren't in a rush so wasn't that big of a deal. The ambiance is beautiful! We sat outside since it was a nice sunny day, but the inside is also very elegant and chic for a nice fancy dinner. I want to start by saying that this place is very disappointing. On our first night, we noticed that the AC unit was leaking water throughout the night, and the sound was quite annoying. Additionally, the room cleaning staff did not come when we asked for fresh towels and a cleaned room. They informed us that we needed to schedule cleaning in advance the night before. Don't waste your time trying to call the front desk; they won't answer. Also, if you order breakfast from their restaurant, be prepared for it to arrive at lunchtime. I've never appreciated my bed at home more than after our most recent stay.. the villa beds and pillows in particular were pretty awful. Customer service has gone downhill unfortunately, we had to practically beg (multiple times) for amenities for our 4-person reservation. We paid per person for 4 people, which the villas are designed for, yet they repeatedly would only provide a set of 2 items such as towels, coffee mugs etc... The best part still stands, their beautiful pool and the pool specifically has excellent customer service. read more

We went in a weekend so had to do the brunch menu & for me it's way over priced for the items they offer. By the time you get back to your table your food is cold, the coffee is super bitter too, no cream or sugar served with our coffee. Was def not the experience we thought we wanted.
