    Wild Buffalo Pizza

The food was just okay. Ordered 2 pizzas, wings and chili cheese fries. The pizzas were a little burned, fries were completely old and not fresh at all. First of all let me say that I ordered online and arrived at the time my order was supposed to be done and they told me another 15-20 min, mind you I had already waited 35 min prior to this time. It was very busy and they seemed overwhelmed. Ambiance inside was busy a lot of ppl. Might give this place a try another time but for now I was not too thrilled.

Ok so I've been wanted to try this spot for a whole it's on my everyday drive home from work as I live in South Gate. After waiting 40 minutes for my order the pizza was burnt, garlic bread wasn't toasted , and no veggies with my wing order like the menu states it comes with. Overall polite guys there and the food was good

The smell of the pizza was amazing. That garlic seasoning on the crust with a crunchy texture was great. Loved that the edges are slightly toasted sometimes I don't want a soft crust and this was it (my preference) I would say maybe some type of seasoning is needed for the chicken? But then again its pizza got to let the sauce do the talking ?? (my preference) but overall great meal everything was demolished. The combination of everything settled so well especially the pineapple (for my pineapple eaters) waited 20 minutes for my meal because it's hand made upon request. Overall quick service, great meal, and affordable for a local pizza joint and they have a movie playing as you wait for your food. See y'all soon and keep the work going!

Supreme pizza. The toppings overall were good, but the bread was very thin, and too crunchy for my taste. It was more like a flat bread.

The customer service is good and the order was ready in 20-25 minutes for a walk in. The pizza overall was good, except I didn't like that the bread was extremely thin and crunchy. I prefer a thicker layer and more on the fluffy side. They have outdoor sitting for dining. The inside is more for sitting and waiting for your order as there is not enough space. I will give this place another try, but next time I will ask for a thicker bread on my pizza.

Cold wings and fries, no flavor.

The pizza was stale, cold and appeared to be sitting there for a while. Service was not great arrived to pick up order and still had to wait 10 to 15. The establishment layout was weird. Wasn't sure if I was buying pizza or shoes. Where they ring you up was an utter mess. If I had to rate the food, I would give it a 2 out of 10.

Prologue: Hope, in a Cardboard Box There are few things purer than the hope that comes with ordering pizza. The anticipation as you track the delivery driver's little icon across the map, the subtle whiff of melted cheese as the box lands in your hands, the knowledge that for one brief evening, life might actually make sense. I had that hope. I nurtured it. I believed in it. And then this pizza arrived. At first glance, it seemed harmless--even beautiful. The cheese was glistening, the pepperoni looked confident, and the crust had that golden hue that whispers, "I am perfection." I smiled. Foolish, foolish me. Chapter I: The First Bite (or, The Shattering of Illusion) The knife cut through the crust with an unexpected crunch, like brittle parchment instead of soft bread. I told myself that was fine--crisp is good, right? I lifted the slice; it drooped weakly, a culinary flag of surrender. And then, the bite. Rubbery cheese. Grease masquerading as flavor. Sauce so bland it could have been tomato-flavored water. I paused, confused, as if my tongue had dialed the wrong number. I took another bite, hoping I'd misjudged it. I had not. The crust was a paradox: dry at the edge, soggy beneath, and seasoned with what can only be described as "the ghost of garlic." It crumbled in my hand, leaving a trail of sadness and oregano dust across my lap. Chapter II: The Five Stages of Pizza Grief Denial: "Maybe I got a bad slice." Anger: "Who made this? Do they hate joy?" Bargaining: "Maybe with enough hot sauce, I can fix it." Depression: "I've already eaten half. What have I become?" Acceptance: "I am living in a world where this pizza exists." Chapter III: The Sauce of Sorrow I decided to isolate the problem. Maybe it was just the sauce. A thin smear clung to the crust, pale and shy, as if afraid of flavor. I tasted it alone. It was... indescribable, but not in a good way. Imagine tomato paste mixed with apathy and just a hint of despair. I briefly wondered if it was a metaphor. Maybe the chef was making a statement about the emptiness of modern life. Maybe I was the problem. No--after a few more bites, I confirmed it: this sauce was a war crime. Chapter IV: The Cheese That Time Forgot The cheese deserves its own chapter because I'm fairly certain it's still haunting me. It stretched and tore like plastic, squeaking between my teeth as if protesting its own existence. It had the flavor of "generic dairy product #4," with the texture of yoga mat and the charm of regret. If mozzarella has a soul, this cheese had long since left its body. Chapter V: The Pepperoni of Despair Pepperoni is supposed to be the hero--the bold, spicy heart of the pizza. These were... not heroes. These were retired villains, tired and disillusioned. Some were burnt to a crisp, others pale and floppy, each slice a new personality crisis. I bit one. It tasted like it had fought valiantly once, long ago, but had since given up. Interlude: A Moment of Reflection I stared at the half-eaten pizza. Silence. Just me, the box, and the distant sound of my self-respect leaving the room. I tried to find something positive to say. "Well," I thought, "at least it's warm." Then I realized it wasn't. Chapter VI: The Aftermath About thirty minutes later, I wasn't hungry anymore--not because I was full, but because I'd lost the will to eat. My taste buds were emotionally exhausted. I leaned back, questioning everything. Was this really pizza? Or was it some avant-garde culinary experiment designed to teach me humility? I boxed up the leftovers out of habit, knowing full well they'd never see daylight again. Into the fridge they went--a cold tomb for my dashed hopes. Epilogue: Lessons from the Crust Days later, I still think about that pizza. Not fondly, but philosophically. It taught me things--about trust, about expectation, about the fragility of human optimism. Because sometimes, dear reader, what looks like a golden, cheesy circle of joy is really just disappointment disguised as dinner. Would I order it again? Only if I lost a bet. Would I recommend it? Only to my enemies. One star, because zero isn't an option.

And if there's one thing I know, first responders always know where the good food is. That was enough for me to give it a shot. We decided to grab takeout, and wow... this place is legit. The lasagna was amazing. Not one of those basic ricotta-only lasagnas either -- this had a great cheese blend and an incredible sauce that really brought everything together. You can tell care goes into the food. The bread they serve tastes fresh like it's baked there, which makes a big difference. We also had the chicken fettuccine, and my daughter absolutely loved it, which is always a win as a parent. We've only done takeout so far, but this spot has officially upgraded our movie nights at home. One of these days we'll probably dine in, but even to-go, the quality holds up -- and that says a lot. Definitely a spot worth trying if you want solid Italian food in the area.

Still stands-up to the hype after all these years…read more If "Trendy" was a restaurant, Bestia would easily be in top contention, even after being around for more than a decade. That says a lot. Once upon a time (a few years ago), my CFP + banking institution wanted to thank me for being one of their top private clients. They expressed their gratitude with a very generous, all expense paid full-course meal at Bestia. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement. Fast forward to now, I knew that coming back here would be a good idea. Make no mistake, even if you try to book a reservation several weeks in-advance, don't be surprised if the only available seats are at the counter. Granted, I was in a spacey table during my past visit, the counter can be an enjoyable & unintentionally entertaining space. It's great for a more casual vibe, as you get to see some of the kitchen workers put together some of their signature dishes. In many ways, Bestia seems like a microcosm of the city that it rather humbly resides within. What always catches me off-guard, is that the surrounding simple area really doesn't reflect the happening, vibrant, night-life that resides within the building's walls. You feel like you're taken so a different, very social, very bustling world. WINE: Podere 72, Poderi San Lazzaro (Marche region, central Italy) - 8.7 / 10 A very robust blend of Montepulciano & Sangiovese grapes that results in a balanced, medium bodied red wine that stands-up to heartiness of a beef ribeye steak. FOOD: Roasted Bone Marrow - 9.4/ 10 I have several friends that go here just for this particular dish. Funny enough, one can almost always tell that one is at Bestia because of the rather peculiar manner in which this dish is served. Hot, melted bone marrow is appropriately scooped out of the bone & poured onto spinach gnocchetti. It's like eating beef flavored mouth pillows of potato + spinach. It's definitely a dish that will impress whoever you are with. I can never resist ordering this whenever I am here. Oxtail alla Vaccinara - 8.9 / 10 The deep, rich maroon color of the rigatoni (thanks to beets) is a sight to behold. The pasta is firm but not too hard. It's a humble yet complex pasta dish that complements any main course. 26oz Margaret River Wagyu Ribeye - 9.4 / 10 Anybody who knows me knows that I love my ribeye. Any decent fancy restaurant does a ribeye. But no one does a ribeye quite like Bestia. The fermented mushroom cream delivers a punch of pungence not unlike a delectable dijon mustard, but to the highest of levels. This dish also makes me a believer in well-cooked onions served alongside steak. I usually like to take a home a portion of ribeye for later, but this is one of the very few instances when the steak is so good, that I can't help but finish it here. Again, the portion is more than enough to be shared. Fromage Blanc Mousse - 9.1 / 10 This seasonal dish hits all the right notes. It's the fanciest of cheesecakes, so I recommend sharing this. With its decadence, a little truly goes a long way & that's perfectly fine. The richness of the cheese is offset perfectly by the right balance of candied kumquats. A great "bite" to end on. Huge shout-out & thanks to Radu for being the nicest & most enthusiastic of servers. It's little things like him being so down to take pics of you with your party that really make me want to come back here. It the owners / management is reading this, please recognize how pivotal he is to your team. If he was working under me, I would most definitely give him a raise. Also, shout-out to Dani at the hostess stand. She is one of the most personable people. For being the first person that patrons see upon entering, she is the perfect face, attitude, & welcoming personality that the hospitality industry is in dire need of. She's a rockstar of a hostess & a pleasure to talk with. Bestia is a better place because of valuable employees like Radu & Dani. As always, come for the food. Come back for the service. I would definitely come back because of how amazing Radu & Dani are. Years after the hype, the vibe is still very much happening at Bestia.

The biggest disappointment was the service. Our server was unwilling to accommodate even simple requests. One friend in our group doesn't drink, and when we asked if her mocktail could be served in a cocktail glass so she could feel included, he simply said no. He also refused to make an espresso martini despite having the ingredients available. To make matters worse, one of our dishes never arrived. When we brought it up, the server responded, "I asked you if it came out and you said yes," instead of apologizing for the mistake. Afterward, he took the bill and appeared to be talking negatively about our table. For a restaurant with such a stellar reputation, I expected much better. Between the tiny portions, average food, and poor service, I won't be back

The mashed potatoes were incredibly soft, creamy, and full of flavor. We ordered the Margherita pizza and a cheese pizza for the kids, and both were delicious. The pizzas were cooked in a wood-fired brick oven, and you could really taste the difference. The carbonara was one of my favorite dishes. It came with an egg yolk on top that you mix into the pasta, making it rich, creamy, and flavorful. The lobster linguine was another standout dish. I then asked if I could order the penne pasta dish with chicken but substitute a different pasta since I'm not a fan of penne, and again was told no. I've been to plenty of restaurants that don't allow certain substitutions, but simply adding chicken seemed like a reasonable request, especially since I didn't mind paying extra for it. It just felt a little strange being told no to every option. That said, the other staff members were attentive and provided good service throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is casual and had a steady crowd while we were there. I also noticed the entire staff working that night appeared to be male, just an observation. The food itself was really good. The baby greens salad, pasta dish, and chicken portobello were all very flavorful and enjoyable.
