    Caprese salad (18.00)
    Jacob D.

Had a week left before expiration on a Groupon I purchased a couple of months ago so decided to use it today. Place was a little difficult to find as you blink an eye and miss it although it's right on Bellflower Blvd. Entrance is right on Bellflower as well, but it's a bit confusing cause where you enter it looks like you're entering a bar (plenty of tables outside) and there's a back covered patio with a set of double doors that appears is an entrance as well (it's not). We found parking behind the restaurant in a huge city lot for several other businesses as well. Aside from the long intro, we were greeted by a very friendly server and we were the only customers at 1st. I called before as the groupon stated reservations were required (they weren't, just recommended). We were seated promptly and I informed the server that we had a groupon, which was for 2 glasses of wine and two entrees (anything beyond is added on separately). We started with the caprese salad (18.00). It was good but only 5 pieces and IMO not worth the price. Our entrees came with soup or salad so I ordered a salad with Italian dressing and it was mostly just lettuce, but tasty nonetheless. BFF had the soup which was a cup of minestrone and he said it was ok. I ordered the canneloni which came with ground beef and cheese. It was the perfect sized portion as it was very tasty and rich. My friend ordered the chicken fettucini Alfredo and he said it was ok. All entrees came with a fresh basket of garlic bread, which was very good. We ended our meal with 2 orders of cannoli (17.00) as I assumed it would be 1 large cannoli each and it was 5 small presented very nicely. It was very good but also a bit sweet and ended up taking two pieces home. Overall, not a bad place at all, just missing a lil more to make it excellent.

Ricci Italian in Bellflower is a classic gem! 83 years in business!! We found parking on Bellflower blvd., but they do have a parking lot in the back. Our server was really warm, friendly, and attentive. We had 5 people, so we ordered some appetizers to keep the ha fries at bay. The fried calamari rings were disappointing as they were chewy, but the mozzarella was deeelish! Of course I checked Yelp for the popular dishes and that inspired me to order the Pasta A La Ricci. It was really good...but...it said it had artichoke hearts but I couldn't find any..I asked the server and he said it was mixed into the sauce. I was also a tad disappointed in the scallops...there were hardly any and they were super small. That being said-it was still super flavorful and I was excited to have my leftovers for lunchThe next day. (They don't skimp on portions) The garlic bread is outstanding!! The lemon chicken soup is very good and comforting. Whether you're coming for a date night, a family dinner, or a casual meal with friends, Ricci's can accommodate as they have a huge space for any occasion. Great service, great food, and great old-school vibes.

I'm so sad updating my review for this place. My fiancé and I used to visit at least once a week for date night and always considered this place a 10/10. Sadly, we recently stopped by and noticed a significant decline in the quality of the food. The on the house garlic bread is gone, and you now have to pay extra for it. It's replaced instead by unbuttered plain white bread. The salad now comes with an extremely watered down ranch dressing that lacks any of its former flavor. It really feels like management has chosen to cut corners at the expense of food quality. We are heartbroken to say we won't be returning as often as we used to, especially given how great this restaurant used to be. I will say service remains great it's just the food quality. Hopefully it improves again.

So I'll start with a disclaimer: I was here as part of a large party. We were seated on the back patio which had a lovely ambiance and a nice breeze blowing through. Did it take 20 minutes to get a glass of water? Yes, it did. Did the food come out quickly once we finally ordered? Yes, it did. Our table had a little bit of everything. Those who ordered calzones were very happy with the hearty portions. My neighbor who had the chicken Parmesan said it was tasty. My Italian sausage with peppers? It was basically a bowl of spaghetti with half a sliced sausage and maybe a quarter of a pepper sliced into it. To say it was disappointing is an understatement. If the menu says Italian sausage and peppers with spaghetti, I expect the sausage and peppers to be the main, not the spaghetti. Dessert was tasty but it was another long wait for the check. In fact, I wrote this review while waiting for it.

The best Italian in Bellflower, hands down! :) I ordered the baked manicotti and was quite impressed, perfectly flavored and properly cooked! Their garlic bread and mozzarella sticks were phenomenal as well! The staff were friendly and attentive, and we were wanting for nothing. The place has a good amount of indoor seating, and a huge covered outdoor area in back, and the place is immaculate - clean and well lit. In all we'll certainly be back.

We went to have dinner at Ricci's Italian in Bellflower a little while ago. Nice house salad (9/10) with wonderful italian dressing (9/5/10) and vegetable minestrone soup with small pasta (8.5/10), which adults and kids enjoyed. Our entrees included Chicken parmigiana (8/10), veal parmigiana (7/10) , and bacon carbonara with shrimp (8/10), quite rich and creamy, but not goopy. All quite good. Nice that they have Peroni on tap, tasted fairly fresh (8/10). Veal cutlet portion felt a little undersized but chicken was hearty, and red sauce (both marinara and meat sauce) are deep red, slightly thick and pasty...not a light sauce. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal, except for the end (when we suffered a accidental water spill and had to mop it uo ourselves). Garlic bread (6/10) was pale and had no taste of garlic: just butter, salt and pepper. At least it tasted fresh and warm. We had spumoni (9/10) and tiramisu (6/10) for dessert. Enjoyed the spumoni but I would skip tiramisu when coming back: beautifully presented but all the art was on the plate, instead of in the flavor of the tiramisu. Ricci's has been around since 1944. But from the outside and inside, you wouldn't guess that. The building seems pretty modern, as well as the interior, a somewhat classic upscale vibe. I really want to like this place (I have a fondness for historic dining) and I look forward to coming back to try the sandwiches and the pizza, both of which look good.

New and elegant menu! I've been coming for years and I'm really happy with the new items. The Calabrian pizza is my favorite. It's savory and fresh. In one of the photos is the lasagna and chicken for two. And when they say that chicken is for two, they here not kidding. I'm more than full and will be back. The staff are really amazing and friendly. I love the classic Italian music playing in the background!

Tucked away in Bellflower is this elegant mom and pop Italian restaurant serving up classic pasta dishes, generously portioned at a decent price. I greatly enjoyed the ambiance and the food was delicious. I went two hours before closing and the staff was more than happy to serve us and was super fast with the wine refills which made for a lovely Saturday dinner. Looking forward to future visits

Great service! First time coming here and we just found them on Yelp and their reviews were great. The food was delicious. I had the meat sauce spaghetti and it was very well seasoned. Garlic bread was bomb.com Edith stopped by our table to welcome us and invite us back. Our server was great. We will be back to this area. At night when we left the area was super cool. Very nice for a date night!

Ask the Community - Ricci's Italian Restaurant

    Did ownership change?

Yes, and the food does not taste the same. Poor service too. I got a beard hair in my antipasta salad from the cook.

    Do they cater?

Yes. They catered a dinner party my husband and I hosted. We picked up the order because we ordered last minute. It was delicious!

Is the patio area dog friendly?

There is a patio at the new location. Staff may be able to accommodate, but I'd call in advance in case a party or event is being held on the patio.

Can I get the new address please?

Yes, it reopened a few blocks away, on the other side of the freeway.

Is Ricci's still closed or did they reopen?

They open tomorrow saw it on Facebook & Twitter !!!

Very friendly, offered good suggestions and had a general good vibe about them. I am so bad at getting their names. I only remember Joseph and he was cool but our table was handed over to another waitress shortly after arrival and I don't remember her name but she was great. I'm super indecisive, especially with massive menus - Cheesecake Factory is a nightmare - but The Pan had a great variety so it made the choice a bit difficult. I saw they had a cuban sandwich and I froth at the mouth for these but I was convinced to try the loaded hashbrowns. We actually got into a little conversation about the miscommunication between restaurants and customers sometimes because everyone's definition of hashbrown is different. Are they the McDonalds oval shaped golden discs or the shredded and pancake-style flat things? OR are they those weird onion and pepper potatoes that some people call hashbrowns even though they are home fries BUT they're not even fried, they're sauteed so clearly having an identity crisis but anyway... The Pan's loaded hashbrowns are.... the shredded kind! :D Wow, if someone actually broke through my review and read my potato rant... I'm buying you breakfast here... Limit $20 :) Anyway... couldn't help but order my plate with a guava pancake as I've never heard of that before and tried stepping a little out of my comfort zone and trying something a bit different. Was very yummy, although I have my eye on the banana pancakes for next time. Glaze was a little runnier than expected, although I did take a minute to dive into the pancake as I was preoccupied by the hashbrowns - delicious by the way. Hashbrowns came loaded with: cheese, green onion, chopped pieces of bacon (thick kind, not bacon bits!) and diced sausage (turkey sausage is an option, so I'll def opt for that next time). Dish was nicely seasoned, no overpowering spices or unnecessary aiolis - wait, actually it did come with a chili aioli but it was more like a spicy mayo and it was not spicy, so it's a good dish for anyone to enjoy. Only thing was it arrived a bit cold; cheese wasn't thoroughly melted but the flavors compensated for that easily so it wasn't really a bother at all. Dish also lacked grease and for it being absolutely covered in cheese, bacon, and sausage, I was happier than heck that there were no grease pools. Service was good, although they lagged a bit with refills - they get insanely busy though so I get it. Again, they compensated with good vibes, suggestions, overall interactions so I wouldn't worry about a lack of attention here. I would probably not advise against ordering the guava pancake; however, it wasn't anything incredibly special so I'd opt for a different flavor if going the pancake route. I'll be back soon - need to try out that Cuban sandwich and get the name of our waitress! Thanks for having us, was a lovely experience.

Each slice is $3.75, or you can get two slices for $7.50 plus tax, so there's really no discount. I paid cash and noticed I was charged $7.99 for two slices instead of the advertised $7.50. I pointed it out to the man who took my order, but he insisted I wasn't overcharged. I even showed him the menu and the payment screen, where you could clearly see the discrepancy (see photos), but he was dismissive and said the register never makes mistakes. I had a long day at work and wasn't about to argue over less than a dollar. Still, it's the principle. Charging customers more than the posted price and refusing to acknowledge it is not okay. It made my experience very disappointing. As for the food, we ordered two pepperoni slices, one pepperoni and mushroom, and one ham and pineapple. The toppings were good, but this is definitely not New York-style pizza. The crust was overcooked and so dry that it was close to tasting like cardboard. I wouldn't recommend this place. If you do decide to eat here, pay close attention to the price you're charged and ask for a receipt.
