We brought friends on Saturday night after eating there on a weekday evening. Two really different experiences. The week night, the service and food was really good,and hot. Wait staff was attentive. This past weekend was totally not great, Even though the food was good, it was NOT hot and took an incredibly long time. We had to ask for drink refills, and bread, which we didn't receive. Once they take your order they bring you they bring you feasted bred with fresh garlic and butter/olive oil on top. We use the olive oil and vinaigrette to dip and takes the bread over the top! This was my first time trying this restaurant, and I chose it based on the great reviews. It definitely lived up to the hype--both the food and service were wonderful! I ordered the pasta with salmon in vodka sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. The garlic bread was also amazing--fresh, soft in the middle, and so good that I asked for seconds. We went there right when it opened on a Sunday. There was an ample parking lot. When we got in, we were kindly greeted and seated. The guy said he'll just give it to me for half price but they end up taking another 15 mins to transfer it to half trays. I was craving chicken Parmesan and found this place on Yelp. After reading so many great reviews I had to try it for myself. The restaurant itself is kept up well and clean with nice decor. Every table had its own olive oil and balsamic which is always so nice. Their bread is toasted with a delicate crunch and soft. It picked up the olive oil and balsamic very well. The olive oil and balsamic were good quality. The olive oil was delicate and aromatic, not too bitter or acidic. The balsamic was nicely balanced and also was not too acidic or harsh. I ordered the grilled romaine as an appetizer. The lettuce was crisp and the Caesar dressing was good. I tried their pumpkin ravioli in butter sage sauce which was nice. Their bread walnuts complimented it very nicely. The chicken Parmesan was very good. The waiter said they make their own tomato sauce. The tomato sauce was nicely balanced with good flavor. This is a homely restaurant tugged away in a quiet corner (at least on it was not busy when we showed up at 11am sharp on a Saturday morning). The parking lot has ample slots. The staff was friendly and greeted us with smiles, which is always great. The waitress quickly brought out the complementary garlic bread with olive oil and black vinegar. The interior resembled much of the older style Spanish/Italian decor, was quite a cozy atmosphere. We ordered the seafood spaghetti, veal shank, and bbq chicken pizza. The pasta came out piping hot with a generous amount of seafood including shrimps, salmon, clams, mussels, and squid. The sauce was very very mildly spiced which I love. The waitress added grated Parmesan to it and it was perfect. The veal shank was super, fall-off-the-bone tender. It was accompanied by broccoli, carrots, and mashed potato. The sauce was sort of like a mix of mushroom sauce and tomato sauce (kind of like ragu but better). Portion was plenty. The thin crusted bbq chicken pizza was delightfully cheesy, especially with the added grated Parmesan. Flavor was good as well. We finished off the meal with a crème brûlée and a flan. The crème brûlée was smooth and the charred sugar topping was always fun to tap on. Yet the flan won my heart more. I'd flan plenty of time but usually they were either too soft (watery) or too hard. The flan here has the most perfect texture. It was sturdy but not too hard, and the silky smoothness on the tongue was lovely for the palate. Although the syrup was a tad too sweet but the texture of the flan itself was just wonderful. Finally, pricing was fair and portion size was not bad at all. Highly recommend! read more

His attitude taking my order was the same attitude hurry up. He genuine didn't care about me. I can't tell you what a treat this restaurant was. Driving home from a day in Anaheim (you know where) I searched and found this recommendation. What a pleasant surprise. From the quiet parking lot, the simple entry and dining room and the no nonsense menu, this is a gem in the rough. Water and bread arrived without asking. The chef came and greeted us answer a question about the menu and preparation. We shared a Caprese Salad(happy hour size, simple, fresh and arrived via a robot!) and then ordered pasta off the menu. Ravioli Aurora (light, delicate spinach and ricotta ravioli "cuscini d'amore" with a simple tomato sauce ) was simply divine. The Fettuccini Al Funghi Porcini Capesantee Gamberi was one of the best dishes I've ever had in my life. The simple light sauce with sautéed mushrooms, scallops and shrimp was a revelation. We will be back as there is a full menu of creative new and traditional dishes offered. I look forward to seeing what else the chef has to offer.
