Do not buy anything from these people. They represent companies who will rip you off, then hide behind the fact they are just a rep and won't help you. They ripped us off by selling us GOTW3 internet service. After signing up, GotW3 stopped delivering the service. More than 5,000 people were ripped off by GotW3, and South Hill continues to sell their service. GotW3 sold the service, stopped delivering, explained it would be fixed, strung their customers along saying if we got tired of waiting, they would do a full refund any time. When we did cancel, they refused any refund. We are starting a class action suit against gotW3 and will post the link here if you were ripped off too. read more

Do not purchase from So Hill Satelite. They will sell you a product, then take a not my problem position when things go south. In an attempt to save on cable and internet costs, I switched to Dish and Centurylink. The Dish installation went fine. The internet is still not installed.. I have been waiting a month. When I asked Travis (owner) to help, I was told that I am on my own and to call Centurylink. So the business view, is to take the commission earned from the sale, but not to support the customer. Buyer beware!! It appears that I will be forced to go back to Xfinity. I would never have switched if it wasn't for the internet cost reduction. Now it looks like I will be stuck paying even more for TV and internet. read more

Do not use this service.They are false advertisers. The free installation required a $175.00 cash only payment for one post hole. The 6"/6" pressure treated post that held the old dish could not possibly work, according to the installer. I asked him if my shop would do to,,,, "No it's metal." I ask him to show me the dish...It was buried under all kind of stuff. I asked him, "Is that my new dish under all that crap?" The installer said, "Yep." He then tried to feed me more BS explaining he would need to, " take a lot of photos of every step", to place a "metal" pole in my yard. After talking with management on the phone it became clear this is not a good company and just one more cut throat after Southwest Washington. read more

There is not enough room in this field for me to express all the ways I am dissatisfied but I will attempt to sum it up. Because of your companies push to sell HughesNet Gen 5 I drank the Kool-Aid and signed up because initially it appeared to save me money on a monthly basis. However, the data cap that I was not aware of which only includes 25GB was used up in less than a week so I had to upgrade which took away any savings. Upon moving to the 50GB plan I learned that was also not enough for a 6 person household and still do not have enough internet data to make it through the month. I have 3 weeks left this month before it resets and I have less than 6% of my data remaining. This service is not good for a family! Perhaps for a single person or an elderly couple but in no way shape of form should it be pitched to full family households who use Netflix, HULU, Prime, on demand, facetime or any other data using devices. I also had to pay a $140 cancellation fee to directTv when I was told that I wouldn't have to but of course this was after I switched. Now that I am switching back to CenturyLink I have to pay HughesNet almost $600 to cancel out of my 2 year contract for a service that is completely useless to me! Lastly, the installer stayed at my house until 2am and kept telling me just a little longer. This shouldn't ever happen. Additionally, I had to pay him extra money directly because he had to go into the crawl space. My total sum of unexpected fees and cost for this crappy internet service is upwards of $800 above and beyond my monthly bill just to end up right back in the same product I had before I reached out to add an additional tv outside. I have been ordering my services through your company for a decade and worked with Cindy every time prior. Never had any issues and always felt like I was given the full details of my choices. This time was like being pushed into a particular product for the purpose of special spiffs or commissions rather than my best interest or needs. I will not use or recommend South Hill Satellite again in the future. read more

We needed to upgrade our old DirectTV receiver in our motorhome in order to get the NFL package we were paying for, and contacted these guys to purchase a new one. Laurie answered the phone, and got everything set up for us to pick up the new receiver as an upgrade, rather than having to purchase it. When we got there, she not only had the new receiver ready for us, she had negotiated with DTV to get us the NFL package for 2014 for free, and 4 months of SHOtime to go along with it. I wanted a Dish receiver for our motor home, and I didn't want to pay rent for one. These guys sold me a receiver outright, but it turns out they lied and basically stole my money. I could have had Dish send me a second receiver at no cost but for the monthly fee, which I had to pay anyway with the 'purchased' receiver from South Hill. When I stopped the service on the purchased receiver for the winter, Dish made me return the receiver. South Hill Satellite kept my money. read more

Someone hit our satellite dish and knocked it out of alignment, but Mac came by and helped to push it back into place with his truck, and put in a grounding rod to get it in code. He did great work, went above and beyond what was expected, and was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

I had no problem with the installer. However, Devan the salesman who convinced me to switch from DirecTV to Dish did not follow through with his promises. He said not to worry - he would call DirecTV and cancel our service with them and take care of any cancellation fees. He did neither, causing us to have to pay for two services for a period of time + cancellation fees. After installation of our new Dish was completed, he never returned my calls. read more

I had this company install a satellite dish and they did a crappy job. I had to set a pole in the ground and then they ran a 50 foot cable on top of the ground and never came back to bury it. and then Laura in the office flat out lied about giving out customer referral credits toward my account. then the owner who is the best friend of Laura's boyfriend covered her lies. this is the most dishonest place I have ever done business with. I would not recommend their service whatsoever. read more
