Several years ago Rainierconnect lowered rates but didn't tell me until a service call a year later. Now, Lightcurve isn't priced competitively with Quantum. Twice the speed for the same price. Upload speed is 5 times as fast plus you get $20/mo off AT&T wireless. The last kicker is that even though I have been a customer for 20+ years, they won't put a forward on my email account when I quit. Costs them nothing but they say screw you.

What can I say besides don't shop here at all they fail to help you out and get what you need when you need it. This all stems from not being informed about the signing of the package. But now I'm going to be out of state for a whole week for business without a phone to get by and conduct business. Since then I've had a few outages at night…read more Unfortunately, support is onoy open during daytimes house with what they call "on call service after hours." I don't know what that means, but no one responds after 5pm on some days. If you leave a message after hours they don't return the call. I called the other evening and the line was forward to a number in area code 610 that would not take messages. We were told how great it would nbe to be sold to WAVE because of their greater resources. One would think that after a year they would at least have Wave respond to support. Another interesting thing. We had to enter all our account information from Cascade Link's invoices into the new system. Why do I need to transfer my account? Service is generally good, but if there is a problem, there is no one to respond outside of business hours. That is just not acceptable for an internet business!

The sole reason I transferred over was for stable internet speeds as fiber optic is typically less…read morenoisy than CoAxial providers. The speed is great and was way faster and more consistent than Comcast. BUT all of that is negated by occasional shutdowns of internet where you can't even call customer support! In Cap Hill, if you want to pay $10/month less for reliable internet, go with Comcast. I had them last month, thought I'd try out CascadeLink for it's marginally faster connection, but will surely be returning to Comcast. Comcast has its own problems, but at least I can rely on internet working when I need it. tldr: Do NOT sign up with the service unless you're ready for frequent surprise internet shut downs. Comcast is more reliable, cheaper, currently offering around 70 Mbps for $40/month vs. Cascades 30Mbps for $50/month

The person I was speaking with ended up hanging up on me after going silent for a minute or 2. I called back and asked for a supervisor and was put on hold and was hung up on again. So i called back and asked for a supervisor again. This time I was put on hold and after a couple minutes she came back on and said she was connecting me with a supervisor at that moment. With trying to connect me to the supervise we were disconnected. However this supervisor called me right back. She apologized for the disconnection and again after hearing all about what I have been through to get internet installed. Her name is Anna and she did everything she could to help me out. Anna did get my install date moved up even though I do have to take some time off work again. Anna was able to answer all of my questions with no problem. She did have to get off the line for a meeting but did call me back promptly afterwards to confirm that everything was setup and I will have internet installed on the 7/9 in the AM. Anna is a great supervise with great customer service skills. Thank you Anna! I only gave Century Link a 3 star because of you Anna but you are a 5 star in yourself. Now lets hope my install goes as good from here on.
