The doctors here don't mess around. I've been here quite a few times. A few years back I was hit by an SUV while crossing the street. Multiple fractures in my hip and pelvis area including a bulging disk. I randomly get pain so bad I can't even get out of bed. The 2 doctors that have helped me on 3 occasions have been extremely caring and thoughtful and wanted to make sure I could get out of bed and try to live a normal life with this pain. I never have to wait more than 5 minutes and they're always straight to the point. Today I went in to get records for a lawsuit, and the doctor sat there with me and made sure everything was right and we even shared some laughs while he put all my records together. I appreciate this immediate care so much! Also it's pretty convenient that the neighborhood pharmacy is a few steps away as well. read more

I had brought my mother here with a sciatica nerve issue and Dr. Khan was very responsive and accommodating to her condition. He prescribed two pain medications and one anti-inflammation drug. This was a little over a month ago and my mother's condition improved. However, because most of her pain came back, today I called the clinic to request the doctor to call in the anti-inflammation prescription to my pharmacy. I was rudely told by a receptionist that "we do not call in prescriptions"!!!! What doctor's office DOES NOT call in prescriptions!! When I asked to talk to the doctor, I was told the doctor wasn't in today. Even though I was impressed with the clinic in the past, I am disappointed and even angry at the rudeness of the receptionist. I was not given a reason why they didn't call in prescriptions. I understand if these were addictive drugs (and they might be) but this prescription is for a one-a-day pill for 4 days only. I am not sure I will visit them again. read more

It was close to the time they close so we were worried they would rush us along and not do a thorough job but we were wrong ! Brought my boyfriend in to get stitches on two fingers. Two of the stitches came out on the 3rd day and surprise surprise there's a "first time fee" that is over $200 that is not anywhere on their website or something they let you know before starting the appointment. The doctor kept saying bro, brother and dude which made me feel like he was either trying too hard to connect or was genuinely speaks that way, either way it didn't feel doctorly and didn't make me feel great when he kept having to stick a needle in my boyfriend because he couldn't numb his fingers properly. There were three other people in the room who were clearly learning and ended up doing some of the tying off of stitches which might be the reason they came off so quickly. We did not go back to get them removed, don't go here if you can avoid it. read more

If your looking for quality doctors and actual help in a very very timely manner, Dr Levites and Dr Khan are both professional and knowledgeable. One of the better immediate care clinics I have been to. Even though I had an appointment, I had to wait for the doctor to finish up with the other patients - that's ok though because Dr. Kahn was very attentive and I also thought the medical students/assistants were friendly and knowledgeable. They also spent some extra time calling around different centers for my follow-up tests and treatments, which I did not expect them to do so it was very nice. I recently threw my back out and needed to see someone stat. I walked in here and out in less than 15 minutes. I was nervous I'd be stuck in a waiting room full of people that think they have swine flu but it was just me. Dr. Levites asked me some questions and checked out my back. I called in advance and was told that they don't take appointments but there was no current wait. Ended up waiting 45 minutes before seeing a doctor. Eventually they showed me in to an exam room. I quickly realized that this is a shady operation. There were remnants from a previous exam still in the room. The office assistant told me to take a seat in one of two broken leather recliners. As I was looking around the room while waiting to be seen, I noticed that the carpet had many stains and there were cobwebs on the walls and windows. There was also open trash cans with soiled rubber gloves and tissues. I'm no medical expert, but I thought there were rules about this kind of thing. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I highly recommend this urgent care location. The doctor Khan was efficient, professional and really caring as to my matter. He was quick, being mindful that my time is valuable. I paid my parking meter for 1 1/2 just in case, b/c i've had terrible experience here with waiting at doctors offices, pharmacies etc. I was in and out in 35 minutes and there were 2 people in front of me. Wow, I was surprised by how uncomplicated my visit was. Very Pleased with my experience. The staff are very kind and expeditious. I was in and out in a half hour after they addressed my sprained knee. The doctor who saw me was super great, and told me to come back (free of charge/co-pay free) if I didn't feel better in a week. It was a little strange because at first you're wondering where the receptionist, nurses, etc are, but I think it's just a small operation. I thought I hurt my ribs and everyone told me bruised, fractured or broken ribs are painful and there's nothing you can do but let time heal. No need to go to doctors. The pain was so excruciating and it was 3 days in. My sister when into South Loop Immediate Care and spoke with Dr. Levites and he told I should be checked out. She took me to South Loop Immediate Care to see Dr. Levites and his team the next morning. His staff was so nice and helpful. Dr. Levites asked what happened and then checked my breathing. RIght away he said I needed to go to the ER and that my left lung wasn't working, my lung had collapsed. Dr. Ogechi listen as well and same. He told me what to say when I get to the ER so they would take me right away. I went to Rush Hospital and with his instructions they took me into Triage within 20mins. The doctors confirmed collapsed lung and no broken ribs. Once I had the surgery the pain was released. I was feeling like death and went here and they got me in immediately. They had great offices with comfortable chairs that didn't make it feel clinic like at all. The nurse and doctors were great and diagnosed me quickly and got me out! Exactly what I needed. I do have one small compliant, they have you check in and fill all your info on an iPad which I just felt took forever, but then I again I was feeling like death at the time and walking 5 feet was painful for me. I been going to South Loop Immediate Care for several years now. Not only am I seen within 10 minutes upon arrival but I'm greeted by first name basis. I'm always asked how my family is and treated like a friend. I had a skin condition which was resolved by a internal medicine doctor not a high priced dermatologist (350$) to walk in the door. I'm not saying he's able to see ppl for skin issues but my issue with Tinea Versicolor was diagnosed by him. That's just one of the many medical visits I had. From a removal of stitches to bacterial infections I never had a complaint. Their office is very very clean. No way would I allow any doctor touch my wound if dirt was floating around. I was just there several days ago. Had to get medicine for skin and chantix. Office was very clean like always. Dr was fast and efficient. I read a review by a Morgan person. Talking about dirt n bugs etc etc. shame shame on her. All her reviews on her page are negative. Anyhow. It just bothers me ppl would tell such lies on a temper issue of her not getting treated fast enough. I say "Grow Up". Anyhow it's a great clinic. Thanks for everything. read more

SLIC was the answer to my prayers after waiting over an hour at the Walgreens quick care clinic and still not getting in (all while feeling like death). There is meter parking right in front, which is usually open and very convenient. When I first walked in, I filled out all my information on a tablet, which was nice and efficient. After waiting MAYBE five minutes, I met with the medical student and then Dr. Kahn, both of whom were very friendly and understanding. This place definitely feels more like a pyschiatrist or business office, though, which was the only thing that was a little strange to me (just because it didn't have that sterile feel). But, I had a prescription in hand and was out the door within 15 minutes, even with the one person in front of me. This alone was AMAZING! The friendly staff was just another plus! Oh and the fact that I NEVER saw a bill!!! Needless to say, I will definitely be back next time I need a doctor, and I'll be sending the rest of my family and friends in the area, too! TIP: Fill your prescription at Well Future Pharmacy, two doors down from SLIC - their prices are excellent and you WON'T wait there either!! One of the worst experiences of my life. I was greeted by a person (receptionist I think), who handed me a computer to enter my data. No explanation was given. Just silence as she handed me the tablet. Upon completion, I was ushered into a BARE examining room. The place had NO EQUIPMENT! Not even a picture on the wall. I was even more shocked by the oversized leather chairs and no examining table. I took my eight year old there because his tonsils were swollen and he had a sore throat. I figured either tonsillitis or strep. When we got in the room, the lady never introduced herself. I had to ask her who she was? the doctor? the nurse? who? She said she was a medical student from Canada and would do some preliminaries. She asked me my son's weight. I then asked, her don't you not have a scale. She replied, "actually we don't." I WAS AGHAST!!! What kind of doctor's office operates with no scale to weigh patients. She said she wasn't going to take my son's blood pressure reading, "because he is a kid." Red flags are flying super high now. I ask the doctor to come in. He came in and I questioned him about having no scale, no blood pressure reading. He said they don't have many children patients and when they do, the parents know their weight. I told him that seemed very odd given medicine is dispensed based on a patient's weight. He looked at me and said, well we don't have one. He then tells me after visually looking at my son's throat that he has strep throat. The last time I checked, strep is determined by SWABBING THE PATIENT'S INFECTED area and obtaining a sample that is sent to a LAB to make that determination. What kind of doctor diagnoses a child with strep and takes no culture??? At that point, I told him we were leaving and I wanted my money back. He agreed. We ended up going to Target's after care clinic were a THOROUGH competent nurse practitioner FULLY EXAMINED my son (blood pressure, height and weight taken, tongue depressor and LIGHT to view mouth, ears and nose, pulse taken, oxygen level checked, throat and lymph nodes felt, queried on medical history and then .... she performed the strep a and strep b check. She also assured us regardless of the initial result, the cultures would be sent to a lab to make the final call. I will go on record as saying this place was not professional and had me question their legitimacy. I am definitely going to report my concerns to the medical board. Oh yeah, please take note their website looks like my third grader designed it; their email address is a YAHOO account (really??); There is not even a first name listed on the website for either doctor; The doctor's pictures and credentials are not even MENTIONED on the website. read more
