The only thing they did professionally was show up on time The tech didn't do hardly a thing. He inspected underneath and said all looked just fine and just needed to clean some oil off the parts. Then made a big deal about me paying. I trusted him at the time But, being a woman I was taken advantage of in hindsight. He didn't even turn on the machine. One of the worst repair experiences we ever had. It took two weeks from the time Priority first diagnosed the problem, a faulty dishwasher pump, to the time a new pump was installed. We were promised completion in 3-4 days. During that time, our efforts to find out why the installation was delayed were met with being placed on hold for long periods of time, shuffled around from employee to employee, and promised phone calls that never happened. The work finally got done when we sent written notice terminating their services. Just before we were ready to terminate Priority, we discovered a troubling fact: It appears Priority handed off the work to another contractor, Appliance Repair Service, located in Aurora, CO, without our knowledge or consent! For most of the project, we weren't even dealing with the contractor we selected! Our requests to both Priority and Appliance Repair Service to explain what's going on have not been returned. Despite the contractors' terrible performance, we give the technician who did the work high marks. Taras was thorough, polite and very knowledgeable. He apologized for the delay and the run-around we endured. He said the had only be contacted to install the pump 3 days prior. read more

Priority Appliance Repair is absolutely perfectly named. The recommendation came from the amazing Handy William, who I have also had stellar results with, and I finally got around to contacting Dmitriy via text. From the first texts I sent Dmitriy, he clearly had an understanding for how to quickly assess and diagnose problems with appliances, in my case a vintage but bulletproof Maytag stacked washer dryer that needed a bit of much-deserved TLC. He was born into this business apparently, as his father ran one of the biggest appliance and repair shops in Glendale. So when I was having trouble finding the time to call him, he suggested sending some info over text. I included some photos of the unit as well. He knew the machine well, and was able to make some guesses as to what it might need as well as to field some of my questions. He made it to my house a day later after another project in my area. Communication as far as timing was perfect. He had it open in seconds and pointed to dozens of different components, letting me know what they did and what kinds of issues a 30 year old machine might be facing. He knew which parts were available and which weren't, and how much work was involved in replacing each. While he was in this process, he cleaned lint from where it might have affected performance, adjusted screws and checked the machine's status overall. A true tune-up. I think one of the most impressive aspects of his service is this: At no point did I feel upsold or like I was being coerced into an expensive repair with scare tactics. I've experienced this numerous times from repair people and I kind of get why they do it, but it always leaves me with a bad feeling. This was clearly not the case here, as Dmitriy honestly told me that if the unit worked, that instead of spending hundreds of dollars repairing it, to use it until it stopped working. He adjusted the leveling feet, cleaned up the exhaust duct run, and aligned the machine correctly. And then after he'd left and I ran the machine, I realized that I had neglected to ask him about something, an incredibly annoying rattle sound. I thought I'd need to have him out again, so I texted him to ask. His reply: 'There used to be some factory padding between the dryer and the washer. If you push on the dryer a bit you'll see where they split. Maybe stick some cardboard between 'em.' I found some cardbord (a Topo Chico box), and stuffed a few layers in there. I ran the washer...no rattle. The entire repair took 22 seconds and eliminated a sound that I'd heard for years. Priority Appliance Repair and Dmitriy Stratovich have my highest recommendation. It was about 9pm when I realized my 2 year old 3k LG fridge was no longer cooling or freezing. I looked up appliance repair on Yelp and saw priority appliance repair with 5 stars and close to my home so I decided to call. Dmitri, the owner of the company, does all the work, with an assistant. He came out the same day and diagnosed the problems with a Thermador dual range, a Thermador oven, and a Sub Zero refrigerator. He ordered the parts, and within a few days, came out and quickly and competently fixed all of the problems. He credited the service charge of $79 to the work. He is an excellent diagnostician. He works not by the hour but by the job. I believe it comes out the same or close to a fair hourly rate, and you are paying for a unique skill. These jobs are complicated; you have to know exactly what you are doing. Oh, and he threw in a coil cleaning for the dual range, which I believe is usually $160. Finally, he is personable. read more

There's never a good time for a fridge to go out, and mine chose New Year's Eve. I was pretty pessimistic that I'd be able to find a repairman on New Year's Day (the first two I called never called back), but Dmitriy happened to be in the area and arrived at my door half an hour after I called.
