Just had a great Zumba class with Brandon and I'll be joining in the next few days. There's something for every here with large facilities and many group classes. I'm looking forward to trying more group classes, the sauna and swim laps in the pool. read more

Love the YMCA! Came here many years ago. I just recently joined. It feels so good to be cleared medically to workout again. It's been a long time. I'm glad it's here I was able to join. They have so many classes which is what I LOVE about this establishment. It's not just machines to workout with. They have Pilates, swimming, basketball, yoga, Zumba, toning, strengthening classes and so much more. They also open some mornings at 5 am which I love because I can get a quick workout before I leave for work in the morning. And for the parents who need the day care, they have that there to with certain hours. Although it's a little pricey monthly wise, it's definitely worth it. So if it's not just machines your looking for, then the YMCA is definitely worth checking this place out. So clean and staff are all friendly. Only slight downfall is the parking. Get there earlier because it gets very busy and parking may be a little tough. But other than that, you won't be disappointed!! read more

I just recently started working again at Sofy and when I came back I can not recall ever being greeted so warmly by staff AND members! I never had the opportunity to take any classes during my time here before, but this time I decided to give Orlando Torres Club Zumba a try considering I have no rhythm or dance moves to speak of! I have never had that much motivation and energy and just good plain fun in a long long time!! I will make his class one of my priorities from now on! Incredible! I am happy to be back!!!! read more

I LOVE this place! I have been a member of quite a few gyms, both in the Hudson Valley and on Long Island. The South Orange Y is one of the best around. Staff is super accommodating, facilities/workout equipment are impeccably clean, members are courteous and friendly. There is plenty of space; machines are plentiful as well. Even during its busiest hours, this place never really feels crowded. The classes are awesome - barre, trx, spin, bouje, etc. whatever you're into, they've got it.All instructors are either good or fantastic. My personal fave classes are Spinning and Bouje. Very fun and energizing. The only slight drawback to this place is that there are a lot of kids around - a LOTTTTTT of them. Don't get me wrong, I love kids, and the kids you see wandering around are typically well behaved. Just be forewarned that if you're not into seeing them around, you may not dig this place. However, if you've got kids in tow when you go to the gym,they'll be having a great time here. They have some pretty awesome opportunities for kids, most of which are included in membership. In my humble opinion, this is the only gym in the Monroe area worth joining. I've been to all of the others and there is no comparison. read more

I wanted to give a great initial review of this staff and facility. I am going to sign up here after a great first experience. My tour was conducted by ELLEN, and her pleasant and informative manner left a great impression. The staff was all very friendly. the facility was expansive, very well equipped and clean. All the classes( a few exceptions) are included and the facility has a lot of room. It also has a full court basketball court which is maybe half scale and very nice. I felt the facility had a nice mix of equipment PLUS, ALL BRAND NEW CARDIO equipment. In conclusion, I will write an update after a few months, but wanted to at least write this first review. This place,is fantastic! It offers childcare, Zumba,and lots of other classes too! The family price is reasonable and you get so much more for your money than many other gyms in this area. The facility is newer,clean,and staff is very friendly. Me and my family love it here. read more
