Really wanted to like this place. The hours on yelp are wrong and the hours on the door are wrong as well... They only have 4 tanning beds which is fine but in the " best bed" they have lamps out on one side... my husband was literally completely white on one side, which was hilarious but ridiculous at the same time. So for anyone who is interested.... Since they haven't posted the correct hours .. They're closed Wednesdays & sundays . They're only open until like 2 on Saturdays and right now the rest of the days they close at 7pm... I hope this helps ! read more

Been going here for years to kick start my summer tan, I'll never find another place like it. I swear if she closes it'll kill my summer prep cuz I won't to go back to other salons that turn me red instead of tan. I'm already at my desired shade and it's only been a week. Getting to this shade ensures that I don't burn when I go to the beach & I'm not blinding everyone with my paleness when I wear tank tops/shorts/summer dresses & swimsuits. Great place and easy to understand point system. It's a little pricey but it worked for my needs.

What sort of scam is going on here? I phoned to ask if they had tanning beds and how much the sessions or packages would be. She indicated that they go by points and that each bed is a different point and then I asked how much are the points, and she couldn't tell me that, and that I had to come in for her to explain it to me. None of this makes sense. I simply need to tan once a week during the winter months. Would it be OK if this was simple? UPDATE: I phoned another tan salon nearby and was able to get straightforward pricing and an explanation of the different intensity of each bed. I chose a package & intensity that was right for me. Came here after a bad experience with another local salon (that I'd been going to for years) ... I really am not a hard customer to please and just like the basic stuff a tanning salon offers. I like that they allow walk ins, the have multiple bed options, I like that it's quiet, clean and simple pricing. What's even better, is not being hassled about what kind of lotion is use!! I called NYE morning to get a spray tan for that night. She said they were fully booked but could squeeze me in. I got an appt for an hour later. When I walked in it was super cute inside. I love the furniture. Nikki made me feel super comfortable while I waited for her last client to dry. I can just say this is by far the best Airbrush tan I have ever gotten. Just got spray tanned by Nikki. I've recently lost 100lbs and I really struggle with body dysmorphia and my scars, but she was so quick, very sweet, personable, made me feel comfortable, and got me sprayed so quickly. I was in and out in 20 min. I haven't been spray tanned in nearly 5 years and the way I felt after one before was toxic, tacky, and I wasn't a fan of the color. Nikki is the owner and she is sooooo cool. I love her. I was one of their last customers at their old location on Palo Verde in that weird shopping center with the starbucks and dell taco the weekend of their big move. They just moved to a new location on Studebaker, which I have not been to yet. I only go for the spray tan so I my review is only for that. I spray tan for special occasions like weddings, bachelorettes, Vegas pool parties, and vacations. I stopped doing the tanning beds YEARS ago. I usually get the packaged deals like 3 for $99 or whatever they having going on at that time. Nikki uses an organic formula and she's great about taking her time. She is great about holding a conversation with you and makes you feel comfortable, esp if you are naked in front of her. If you have never sprayed tanned before, you need to tell them or ask, "what do I need to do beforehand." Here are my tips: 1. You need to exfoliate your entire body - THE NIGHT BEFORE OR THE DAY OF - you need to get rid of the dead skins cells so that your skin can take the formula. Your tan will last longer. I like to shower right before I go to get a spray tan and DO NOT WEAR DEODORANT OR LOTION. Basically, don't put anything on your body after you shower. I also go without makeup because I have her spray my face a little bit to match my body - but not too much. 2. Shave - wherever you need to 3. Wear a G-string or you can go commando if you don't want any tan lines 4. Wear loose fitting and dark clothes. I will usually wear a black summer dress because you'll still get product on your clothes after you're done. 5. Don't shower for at least 6-8 hours after. 6. After your spray tan, do not workout or do any activities where you will sweat. Also be careful of washing dishes afterwards because you could wash it off on your arms. 6. You must shower before you go out, before your big event, or before you get into any pools or water. You need to rinse the product off. Duh! 7. Limit your time in pool water. The chlorine will take out your tan. 8. If you do your spray tans at night like me, that means you'll be sleeping in your tan. I like to lay down a towel on my bed so that the product doesn't wear off on my sheets. I sleep like a baby through the night and then wash it off in the morning. I've been spray tanning since 2007 so I'm used to the smell. Some people can't stand it. Hope this helps! read more

I got a spray tan for my wedding a couple weeks ago. I was nervous to get the custom spray because it was my first time! Nikki made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I really wanted to like this place since there were so many positive reviews and my cousin recommended me to try this place out. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't as great as I hoped. I got a spray tan and the spray tan was a little uneven on my arms and hands. I had already left South Pacific Tanning Co and turned back because the tan did not look even. We told the employee and she looked so frustrated with us. She explained that it wouldn't be natural if we spray tanned my hands and underneath my arm. After a few minutes of talking, she finally said that she would be able to spray tan my arms and hands. I told her that this was my first time tanning and she hardly explained what I should expect or what I shouldn't do. The tan come out decent. If I hadn't gone back to spray tan the rest of my arms and hands, the tan would have been very uneven. I don't think I would go back to this place though. The experience was not as positive as I had read it would be. read more

The ONLY tanning salon I will go to. I am not the kind of girl who regularly tans but when I need some color I always go for this spot and get the best bed they have! I feel tan and awesome immediately. Not to mention it's right off the freeway next to a Starbucks, nail salon and subway - all super convenient. My skin tone is fair (slightly olive) and I can easily burn, but the lotion Nikki recommended for me has lasted forever and keeps my skin feeling soft and tan (no burns!) and smells delicious. Can't remember the name but its a little purple bottle that she keeps there (so I never forget it). I use the points system and you cannot beat the quality for the price. Wouldn't go anywhere else! This is way over due but I was waiting for my photoshoot pictures to come back, the holidays, than the new year. I came here before a photoshoot to get an airbrush tan. All of my tans from other places have started coming off at day 4 when I was guaranteed 10 days. My vitiligo from this tan didn't start until a week in. I forget the young lady's name who was pregnant at the time, but she saw to it that my tan was nice and dry and set in before she let me go. That did the trick! It lasted much longer. This place is A-MAZING!!! I've been to a number of tanning salons so to compare this one with all the others? THERE IS NO COMPARISON. South Pacific Tanning is the best tanning salon ever been to. That's why I gave it 5 stars, everything from cheap prices, to clean, trendy, to easy parking out in the front of her Salon Nikki has the best beds Ive ever seen. I keep seeing people come in for spray tans too so I can't wait to try those out as well. The beds. She has this one bed there, I call it the big Kahuna because all I need to do is get brown, (and yes I finally found a bed that brings out the brown and not red in me yaaay!) then all I have to do is come once a week to keep my color. JUST ONCE A WEEK! My hubby always gets flirty with me when I come home looking sunkissed. (Woah let's keep it PG here lol) I'm in love with this place, Nikki is definitely the heart and backbone of her Salon. She's forever taking care of everyone else but herself. I've used this salon in the past for the tanning beds and have always been happy with how friendly the girls are that work there. The Beds are clean. I've never waited for a bed. Prices are normal/fair. I have to say I was SO impressed when I called last minute and asked about their spray tanning. Time snuck up on me and I had a wedding the following day and realized I was WAY too pale. Well they were fully booked.. So what did she offer me .. To open the salon early the next morning and get me squeezed in. Talk about going above and beyond for your customer. This gesture was So kind I just couldn't believe it. Got my first spray tan which I was super worried about.. It turned out beautiful! Looked like I had tanned all Summer long. Only gross part is you have to wait to shower..
