This place is a nightmare. My truck was in an accident, so I brought it here for repairs. They told me to pick it up after a week. When I arrived, only HALF of the truck was fixed. Weeks later, I was told it was done and came to pick up the truck, but the front tire was flat due to a nail. I had to wait for them to patch it. While my truck was there, they ripped my dash cam off the windshield, breaking the clip. They charged the insurance company for multiple parts on the truck that were not part of the accident and were not damaged due to any accident. Well, that is not the worst of it. My truck is now in another shop where it may be totaled. Yes, totaled because of this shop's 'repairs'. How do you bring a truck in to be fixed for $11,000 and the 'repairs' are so egregious, unsafe, missing parts, improperly installed, painting over dirt, overspray, 'fixed' parts still broken. Costs are going to be over $30,000. Three different times I have requested to talk to the owner, John, who is never there. I gave numerous opportunities for him to just reach out and make this right. However, he hides behind his secretary/girlfriend, Autumn, who is confrontational, rude, and nasty. She tries to turn your concerns around and blame you. I believe the term is 'gaslighting'. The communication at this business with its absentee owner, girlfriend/secretary, and employees who do whatever they want led to this outrageous destruction of my vehicle. I can honestly say that this place deserves everything that is going to come legally from the insurance company. You did this to yourself. read more

Highly recommended South Street Collision in Washingtonville. Took in my 2016 Honda Accord to get an estimate, after getting into an accident, and John was very honest and great guy who works for the clients. The job that he and his crew does is just absolutely amazing. I honestly think they did a better paint job than the factory paint on the car, he told me in detail the process of getting my car repaired. I got regular feed backs on the status of the car and the best part was the car was ready on the date promised. Asked for an estimate to have my f250 painted. Literally the younger guy said "Maaco will do it for 800 dollars we don't do cheap paint jobs here". I never indicated what I was willing to pay (From the sounds of previous estimates around 3-4 thousand is what I expect). If I was the business owner id tell that employee get out and that he wasn't even worthy of working in washingtonville. I guess they make so much money ripping off people insurance companies that they don't have interest in doing jobs that pay cash. Take your business elsewhere. Even if they treat you better they still pay scum like that. read more

These guys are the BEST in the area. They not only do great work, they are fair priced and HONEST! Newburgh Nissan tried to sell us a bill of goods about a repair that was needed. We brought the vehicle into South Street and they gave us the truth and didn't even charge us for having a look. Yes, they do mechanical work too, and are very good at it. Took my new Black Jeep that is 5 months old to have it repaired after hitting a deer. I expressed my concerns that is is black metallic paint and I would be picky about the color. Well, they did a factory finish and I couldn't be more impressed. It was an 8 day repair and they did everything possible for me to have it back by Easter to me and my family could travel. I called ahead of ime to find out if they had a battery replacement. Not only was the assistant vey friendly but extremely helpful. I went there the next day and got Rupert service. The mechanic told me that my oil filter had not changed in years and the battery was from 2008. No mechanic in NY city cho had checked my vehicle told me that.
