We looked for another place and with the reviews we decided to try here. They were able to take care of his hair with little to no damage after the previous damage. He left looking great...so great that we decided to get my daughters (not Korean) hair permed as well. She had really long hair and the ends were fried from her straightening it so much. They were able to cut what was needed to make her hair healthy again, and her perm is AMAZING!!! Her hair was extremely poofy and curly and now it still has amazing volume but is so much more manageable. I am truly thankful that they have taken such care of my family, both Korean and non-Korean.

I'm definitely high-maintenance when it comes to my hair, and Rebecca and Cody always exceed my expectations. They're incredibly talented, professional, and genuinely care about getting everything just right. Now my teenage daughter comes here too, and Amber has been amazing with her. We even had a last minute hair emergency right before prom, and they went above and beyond to squeeze us in and fix her hair. I can't recommend Revival Salon enough!

Highly recommend this hair salon if you want a trustworthy hair stylist who has much experience. She used to work in New York City and had a studio up there and has had over 25 years of experience. On my wedding day, Stella didn't rush despite having a busy morning. She prepared my mother's hair, my maid of honor's hair, and mine all in a row. It was 150$ total for the 3 of us. My hair was up in a romantic up do and stella even lent me pearl hair pins for my big day. She finished my hair in 1 hour and it stayed up all day to midnight. The look was elegant and complex and it survived the Atlanta humidity as my wedding day dragged on. I went in at 11 a.m. and hair lasted through midnight.

I could be wrong, but it's the feeling that you get from these stylists. Still, the general hair cutting has been good...though, in my case, it's pretty basic. Just a straight line! I've always tipped 20%...but I'm starting to rethink this, given how the service is so minimal. On my last 2 sessions, the stylist barely said "Hi" to me. The place itself is pretty cool looking (in a grungy kinda way?), but I feel that the place may not be clean as it should be. I could be wrong here, but I've seen dust on their surface and arty structures. Also, I really don't like how they blow dry and comb your hair with their fingers. Not just a little bit while blow drying...but all throughout! It just feels a bit gross. I mean, who knows how clean their fingers are! I also hate the way they wash your hair. They actually have a separate girl that wash your hair (instead of the stylists)...and this girl is just not good! She has zero strength in her fingers...and I hate the way she even touches your hair! Possibly THE worst hair washing experience (experiences) I've ever had in ANY salon. I can't believe someone that's actually hired for this job (hair washing) does such a poor job! Despite liking the location and pricing, service and overall quality is always an issue. I may give it another try...but if my thoughts and feelings are confirmed once again on my next visit, I'll just find another salon in the area.

The prices are comparable to most high end salons but the service is mediocre. I do think they stay pretty busy and that may be why I felt this way.

A family emergency came up and I wanted to weigh my options, so I called to ask about their rescheduling/cancellation policy-- to no avail. I then resorted to texting to ask them and I typed out a clear and concise message that indicated that I was inquiring only and didn't intend on changing my appointment at that given time. The message read: Hii! I wanted to know that if I wanted to reschedule, would there be any penalty/issues? I don't know if I need to yet, just weighing my options. Alexis, the owner, told me there was no penalty and that I can reschedule online if need be. After speaking to the airlines to change my flight to extend my stay (for the emergency, my grandfather passed), I decided to try to simply reschedule my appointment for a later date. After having issues booking online, I decided to call back because the same thing happened with booking my initial appointment. And Alexis manually went into their system to change it, and thought that perhaps she could assist me again. Instead, she texted me an incredibly RUDE and insensitive text, following another that said that she cancelled my appointment although I never asked for her to do so. There was no apology, no customer recovery, nothing. Attached you will see the text messages, please read them. And please do yourself a favor and DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE RESPECTED AND HAVE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE, because you will not get it from them. I really wanted to support a Black owned business, but there are others in the city that deserve the money that you'd spend here. UPDATE: Per the business owner's response (Alexis), she has made it even more apparent that her overall inadequacy and inability to thoroughly read, be honest, and even manage her books properly is alarmingly unprofessional. In the response (below), she claims that they "went out of their way to accommodate me past business hours," which is a prime example of her fragrant dishonesty. I simply asked her for whatever time that was available for my booking. I never asked for a time. Alexis took it upon HERSELF to book me at 6pm and not 6:30pm, as she claims. Please see below for proof of my statements via Alexis and I's text message conversation. In addition, I did call at least 4 times to try to be considerate, so I wouldn't cancel my booking. As I mentioned in my initial review, I had just received news of my grandpa's passing and had to change my flight to attend the funeral. When I messaged her (see texts below), I apologized for the calls and notified her of my family emergency-- which she chooses to ignore-- and even settled to come in for the appointment still because I didn't want to throw off their schedule. With the passing of my grandpa, I simply wasn't thinking of if the business was closed or not, and just wanted to get in contact with someone who could possibly give me information on rescheduling, if I decided to. Also, since when is calling a business when they're "not open" an inconvenience? If their contact number was solely their business number, someone calling during the daytime closed or not, isn't bizarre-- logically. Simply put, this all stemmed from a very prideful, egotistical business owner that refuses to own up to her mistakes and apologize for cancelling my appointment, when I only contacted her to get information on their rescheduling/cancellation policy. I believe that she may have trouble properly reading. During our entire exchange via text message, I was so kind to her. Never gave a rude or snappy response. So I'm unsure why she deemed that I wasn't a "good fit for their business." I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau on this matter.

We had to reschedule a few times on my end but she always got me in when I needed to be and was never bothered if I had to reschedule. The salon is very cozy and homey. How exactly is this a miscommunication? There was no miscommunication and I am further being gaslit that this is my fault. Kim was in a rush, she over processed and could have seriously harmed my child. WATCH THE CAMERAS FOR ALL OF THE DISCUSSION! She even said in her rebuttal "you said you wanted it like the boy in that chair", who I will add Rusty did an excellent job on and was processed correctly. So if this is the case, where did the leopard spots come from? Can't say more, character limit 2 years ago, during baseball playoffs, brought my son into the salon and saw Kim to bleach my son's hair. She foiled, turned out well and we were happy. This year, playoff season again so I called and got my son scheduled for her once again. Because we were happy, 5 other boys from the team (with 1 more possibly) making for 6 appointments that came to the salon because of our prior experience. 2 boys did Kim, one changed their appointment to another because of what my kid looked like. The other boys look fantastic, my kid, the day of prom as well, looks the best he can with the awful service that was provided by her. When we arrived, another boy was in the chair next to us heading to the dryer with a different stylist. I was very clear with Kim the expectation and showed her a picture from before. The service started and she used a cap this time because his hair wasn't as long as before. Half way through, she asked if the next boy who was scheduled to come 90 mins later could come sooner. He was an hour away, so she said she would then be able to fill the gap time with someone else. I mention this because this rush for getting more clients in, obviously is what played into my son's results. The boy who was there when we arrived was under the dryer for a long, long time. My son however, wasn't under long at all. Once he came out, he told her his head was burning and there was noticeable steam coming from the top of his head. She said he was ready and off to the bowl to wash. Purple shampoo applied and back to the chair. Wet, it didn't look like anything went wrong. She began to dry it and it was horrible. He has multiple different colors on the top of his head. Orange, brown, red, blonde and then patches of silver, almost translucent, and so many tips the same color. I asked her about fixing these areas and her attitude changed and turned into gaslighting me rudely that I said I asked for him to look like the boy next to us (he was clearly not a leopard color, not silver globs of hair and was done correctly, and I never said that at all) and that the picture was blurry, and everything else you could think of as she deflected her bad service. I walked to the front because I was very upset with her rude response and telling us that we need to use purple shampoo at home to fix it. She washed him again, no change. I just wanted out of there. I paid $114 for the service, left a 15% tip (never should have) and we left. I was more angry outside when the sun hit it with how awful it looked. I called the manager who heard me, was very nice and told me to come back to fix it. A steaming head, that was burning and a short time under the dryer means the heat was too high (she was rushing) and he was over processed. Upon returning, another teammate was there getting bleached by her and I haven't heard yet but am worried she made his hair horrible too. I did tell him to be clear to her he wanted blonde, not silver hair. The next stylist used toner by hand to try and fix it. It still looks bad, but nowhere near what Kim did. It was fixed enough to not look absolutely horrific, and we can doctor prom photos enough, but upon getting ready to leave...I said to the Manager I would like to leave this stylist a tip and get this, the manager said I owed 39.00 for toner for the correction, for what Kim messed up. I HAD TO PAY TO FIX WHAT KIM DID! And, the manager NEVER mentioned this when she said to come back so it could be fixed. At this point, I was so angry and wanted to get out, I paid and left. I was so upset, I didn't take pictures that accurately shows how bad it was, but the stylist sitting at the front desk staring at his head upon leaving the first time said it all. He has dark hair and the part Kim worked on is multiple colors. If you go to this salon, take note, you will have to pay for their correction of terrible work. I brought them MULTIPLE clients in one day and was treated that I made the mistake of turning my sons hair multiple colors. I do recommend the other stylists. I do not recommend Kim for any color work. I do not recommend the salon as a whole standing by the quality of work and leaving the customer to pay more to fix their mistakes.

Lindsay also has an assistant, which is great to have extra hands. The salon is SUPER cute - rustic, charming & everyone seems so friendly. After sitting with wet hair for 20 minutes while she did the other girl she resumed. She asked for a V cut and as you can tell by the picture, that is not what she received. Her layers in the front were also uneven. Her color was brassy it looks horrific! When I called on Monday asking if she could fix her, she said she was busy and couldn't do anything other then toss on a toner and send her home with uneven wet hair. This after I came in early to help her out. The owner didn't care anymore then Sarah did and said she rents the space and how she treats people is up to her. Happily we were lucky enough to find a new place to fix her up with a wonderful stylist that spent emense time putting her back together for the first day of school. I did get a refund for one of my daughters hair minus the other ones who I didn't complain about since it was in a French braid and I couldn't tell. Minus tip as well. My daughter cried and was miserable and the owner and Sarah could care less. So disturbing on so many levels

A lot of excuses were given but no offer to reduce the fee. Ive called and asked for the owner to call me but I doubt I will hear back because the whole conversation with the receptionist sounded very sketchy. I may have to dispute the charge to get anywhere with it. Be aware and beware of going here especially without asking a whole lot of questions. If I hear back Ill post an update. This is not a good way for new owners to start out. They will definitely lose my business and WILL NOT recommend them to anyone else.

Then I started to Venmo my regular hairstylist and out of the blew the owner said I could go outside and do that. Then she started yelling in my face and told me to get out of her store or she was calling the cops. Shocked, I started walking out as I was deeply concerned as she sounded like she lost her mind and the other customers waiting were shocked as well. From outside the door, I asked if I could still leave my hairstylist a tip as I didn't know what to do or react. Then she said to never come back. I was humiliated and sad as I love this salon and being a loyal customer, I can't come back all because I didn't want to be overcharged.
