First impression visiting this restaurant with a friend for a late night meal - this is a really beautiful establishment. Like seriously I felt really regal dining in here lol. Decor aside, I really enjoyed my time at Southern Chicago. Our server was really nice and personable. One thing that stood out is that the service was pretty quick, which was surprising to me given that it was relatively busy at the time that I went so I would've been OK with waiting, but I was pleasantly surprised when I didn't have to wait long for my items. Since we were dining for a late snack and not super hungry, we opted to order a few appetizers and split a couple sides together. We ordered the shrimp and caviar deviled eggs, I think the deviled eggs were pickled because they were pink in color although I didn't notice any distinct flavor. The deviled eggs were OK, not necessarily bad but it's also not something that I would probably rush to order again. We also ordered the crabcakes, which are really good. For the sides we ordered the cornbread, smoked greens with turkey, and the sweet potatoes. All three were really good, however, I wished that we got a few more sweet potato medallions, considering the price of the sides. I also want to say that cornbread was simply amazing and truthfully, it's humongous. I wasn't expecting the size of- I was really expecting a small skillet so that was a pleasant surprise and something that I would likely order each and every time that I come. Lastly the drinks are also very good as always I ordered they take on an old-fashioned, which was really nice. A nice steakhouse conveniently located near McCormick Place. Beautiful interior and wonderful service. Our party of five was seated on time. The menu is akin to a traditional steakhouse, and our waiter did a nice job walking us through which entrees came with a 'little extra' and where we might want to add shareable dishes. Nothing earth shattering. The restaurant was very lively on a Friday evening - lots of birthday celebrations and sparklers and the music was a touch loud. I was there for a business dinner and it wasn't the best atmosphere for that, but I would definitely enjoy dining with friends. Just a little hard to converse, but that's no fault of the restaurant. I love being around people having a good time, and everyone was! My food was a touch salty, but there's something on the menu for everyone - our party had salads, calamari, salmon, steak frites, pasta, and chicken. read more

It's been a long time since I dined and didn't feel like there was a post pandemic effect. This place was amazing. Everyone greeted our party with a smile; from the valet, security, host, bartenders and waitress. We had 3 active children... with lots of energy. And, the waitress handled our party like a pro. Lol The ambiance was absolutely gorgeous. We moved tables a few times, making sure everyone was comfortable. Management was great, truly appreciated the move to the private room. The food was delicious. I think we succeeded in ordering at least half the menu. The party before us took that last lobster. We'll try it the next time. OMG, the steak was like butter ... tender and seasoned. The lamb chops were great. The maple glaze chicken was great. The salmon was great. There was a smoked baked chicken, taste like it was taken right off the grill at a family barbecue. Mac and Cheese, potatoes, biscuits, cornbread with honey butter. They didn't miss a beat. It was good service, great food, great conversation with the people I love. I thank God for the opportunity of having such a wonderful heavenly birthday for my husband. The chef came out to greet us... just couldn't say anything but great things about my experience. I will definitely be returning. The corn bread , greens, chicken, fries and tomatoes were to die for. That was just mine, yes big back activity!!! My husband hand the oysters, and mussels and he said it was amazing. I know I'm giving a 3/5 rating, but this is generally, good spot; I just know of better spots to go to for Southern food. For starters, the restaurant itself looks quite nice, but the seating at the bar is really uncomfortable if you have wide hips or a larger-than-average derriere, as the seats have a tight curve around them (i.e. they're more circular than oval in shape). We opted to sit at the bar because that's where happy hour is offered, which is standard at many restaurants. Our server/bartender Monique, was an absolute sweetheart; the other staff that tended to the bar were sociable enough. The food was good; the only real knock I have was that the Maple Fried Chicken was lukewarm, and the Mac & Cheese and Collard Greens were a bit salty when delivered - that saltiness died down when heated up the next day. Dined at the Southern on a Saturday Afternoon. I had been anxiously awaiting it's opening, and the opportunity to snag a reservation. I saw that the reviews suggested a bit of a rocky opening but still had to give it a chance. The interior is absolutely beautiful and presents an awesome ambiance for just about any festive, elevated event. We were greeted in the waiting area and while the hostess was not rue, the greeting was not warm and inviting as I would have expected for a venue and restaurant of this magnitude. The menu had a nice variety of modern twists on soul and comfort food, with options to suite all dining preferences. Our Waitperson, Rich, had a lively, eccentric personality and a dry and witty sense of humor. We appreciated the recommendations that he made regarding his favorite items and his level of attentiveness. Our table had that lobster and the branzino, lobster mac, sweet potato souffle, collard greens, cornbread skillet and fried green tomatoes as a starter. My favorites were the branzino and the jalapeno cornbread. We had a couple of cocktails, whose names I can't recall, but well-presented and flavorful. Glad to have the Southern as a neighborhood spot that I look forward to returning to. read more

1st and last time. I hoped for better. It just didn't happen. My bornday dinner was sooo far below acceptable. 1st of all, 2 of our guests didn't come because of the horrible service they received. 1+ hour wait for food. 25 min wait for drinks. BTW this was at 8 pm 6/21. BTWW the server started by telling us ALL OF THE ITEMS they were out of. They didn't have lobster to put in the lobster bisque. Now you are ordering lobster juice. If you are a steak eater, you can appreciate this part of the story. I ordered a BONE IN RIBEY STEAK. When the steak came out the server said it was a NY strip steak. I said that's not what I ordered. They came back with the SAME steak and said it was a boneless ribey. WTF.... My problem is that the chef made a decision to give me what he wanted me to have versus what I ordered. If they were sold.out of the bone in , they should have told me so that I could make the substitute decision. This is the part that REALLY tripped me out. They said they would discount the steak i didn't order by 30 % if i kept it. Paying 70% for something I didn't order or want is too much. Soooo for my bornday, I ate mashed potatoes, some of Kelly Longmire Crawford salmon and some leftover chicken tips at home. No establishment can serve me what they want me to have and expect me to pay for it! Our server Dianna was great for what she could control. BOTTOM LINE...I do not see any reason for another chance. I have been there 3 times and nothing has changed. Location--good. Food--good. Atmosphere/Decor is outstanding. Service is so slow it pathetic. Entered and went to the bar--acknowledged the bartender, he acknowledged me and it still took 25 minutes to get a drink. Seated for dinner with a group total of 4. The waitress started off by telling us what they did not have and it will take about another hour before our food will arrive after placing order. Love the decor when you walk in. The noise was moderate. Music selection was great. Only complaint is some songs were LOUDER. Andrea (hopefully I spelled that rt) was our waitress. She was very consistent. She knew the menu perfectly and made great suggestions. I can appreciate a waitress/waiter who actually knows the menu. My friend and I ordered thefried green tomatoes, fried chicken, Cajun greens, and Mac and cheese. The tomatoes were very delectable. The sauce they give with them tasted more like a garlic aioli than a remoulade sauce. I like garlic so complaints from me on that but I wouldn't call it a remoulade. The greens were collard. They were good but definitely didn't taste any Cajun seasoning. The fried chicken was fried to perfection but we weren't a fan of the maple glaze it was drenched in, idk if you can get it without the glaze but that would be my suggestion. The mac and cheese was appetizing but I wouldn't call it mac and cheese. The consistency was similar to watery alfredo sauce. We also had the sweet potatoes. Which were medallion cut on top of a puree sweet potato. They give you three but 1.5 were burnt so could only try the inside of it. The puree was delicious. We ordered the sticky date cake. By far our favorite place we ate while we stayed in Chicago. We stayed at an Airbnb literally 2 doors down. We had no idea what the place was like or how busy it got. We strolled in on the last night of our stay which was a Tuesday at about 7pm and it was packed. There were 2 couples and we rolled in completely under dressed. We didn't have any reservations but when we told the bouncer we were leaving the next day and we were all the way from Hawaii, him and the hostess made magic for us and got us seated. We sat in Conners section at a bar height 4 top. After we received our waters we realized it wasn't enough space for everything we were planning on ordering. He let us move to the bar with no questions. Service was top notch! Decor was beautiful. Now let's get down to the brass tax and talk about food. Every single thing was exquisite. The crab cakes ... we can compare to Maryland crab cakes, that's how good they were. Our steaks cooked to perfection. The collard greens and caramelized sweet potato OMG chefs kiss ! Idk what the dessert was called but just point toy picture when you order it. Ahhhhmazing! If I'm ever in Chicago again I would DEF hit this place up again! read more

New-ish addition to South Loop which is much needed. Will definitely be back. Ambiance is great and they did an awesome job with the interior. Have been twice to the bar (which is really nice and spacious, and has TVs for sports) for last-minute dinner, had a fun experience both times. Highlights: cocktails have been solid, burger was good, steak was cooked to perfect temp, date cake is excellent. I'd mention two growth areas. First, there were issues with the fries both visits (were cold once which they happily remade, and were a little soggy my second visit). Two, some of their younger staff are not always the most alert. Everyone has been very fun and kind so I don't mind too much especially at the bar. And luckily they have some really experienced people to keep things on track. Glancing through the comments I don't think I'm the first person to notice this, and I'm guessing the managers are aware and working to get everyone up to speed. Southern Chicago has officially raised the bar for soul food in the city. It's the kind of place you walk into and immediately feel proud it exists in the neighborhood. We have nothing like this in SOLO. We tried the fried green tomatoes, pasta, and of course, an old fashioned (MY CURRENT FAVE!)-- everything was excellent. The food was fresh, seasoned perfectly, and even nicely plated! What really stood out was the service. Our server wasn't just attentive; she was engaging, professional, and seemed genuinely proud to work there. That feels rare in the service industry now days. Also, you can tell they have an elevated customer base - everyone was mature and well-dressed, and the white tablecloth setting gave it that elevated ambiance. I've been to plenty of soul food spots in nearby neighborhoods, but none with this level of care and refinement. read more

I have been waiting to try this restaurant for a while. Upon speaking with the hostess, I was immediately seated. This was a Sunday after church about 11:30ish. I looked at the menu, a little small for a restaurant that size. They don't really make room for substitutions, but I just ordered what they had. I ended up ordering the chicken and waffles. The chicken was seasoned pretty good a little spicy but pretty good and the waffle was your basic buttermilk waffle. The food took a long time to come. I ended up going to the restroom which I don't really care for how they have the bathroom situated. The stalls open directly to a hallway be advised they have full doors. It just opens to a hallway/restaurant. I prefer the privacy of going into a room that has stalls inside the actual bathroom area so you aren't just walking out to the public after using the facility. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc, which was pretty tasty from New Zealand because the two South African ones they did not have. While looking at the menu a second waiter from the bar came over and enticed me to try a the braised collard greens and I ordered it and it never came. It wasn't added to my tab and that's when they acted like they'd never received my order. I said, I don't see it on here, but I never received it and he looked dumb founded asking me if I ordered it knowing full on well we went back-and-forth about the braised collard greens and he kept saying you might need a nightcap but then he acted like he didn't remember me ordering that. Mind you I watched him after our exchange tell my original waitress to add the order of collard greens to my tab as she was standing over the register. I even joked telling him he's a bad influence and he said you know I just like to make sure my customers get what they want. So that rubbed me the wrong way. I don't know if I'll be returning just because of how long they took to bring out the food and the service, and the bathroom situation. Also parking was a nightmare because it's street parking amongst residential parking and there wasn't really any. I drove around for a few minutes before I found parking. The wait staff seemed friendly. They just couldn't remember my order and it took a long time before things came out and the restaurant was not packed to the capacity so I'm trying to understand why Chicken-N-Waffles took so long. read more

All Pomp No Circumstance Positives The decor is beautiful, particularly the tile by the front entrance. I was intentionally excited to support a Black-owned business. Negatives This was, unfortunately, the worst dinning experience I have ever had. We had a reservation for six people at 7:00 PM and were not seated until 7:56 PM, despite our table being ready at least 10 minutes earlier. After being seated, we waited 30 minutes before a server took our order and another 10-15 minutes before receiving water. Drinks took an additional 40 minutes, during which time bartenders were visibly standing idle. After raising concerns, we received explanations but no meaningful attempt at resolution until we explicitly asked, at which point we were provided one complimentary round of drinks we did not ask for arrived. By 9:00 PM, we still had not received our entrees, so we requested a manager. The manager arrived shortly before the food came. Our friends' steaks were served lukewarm, plates covered in blood (meaning they had been sitting a while), and cooked well done, despite being ordered medium and medium rare. The menu listed Filet Medallions; however, both the manager and owner later confirmed that there was a printing error and that the steak being served was flank steak, not filet. This information was never disclosed to us prior to ordering and was only acknowledged after we complained, meaning we were not informed that the menu item was misrepresented at the time of purchase. The manager offered to refire the steaks and stated they would be out shortly. Twenty minutes later, one steak returned raw. The manager again offered no meaningful resolution, aside from complimentary biscuits which had earlier been stated as sold out. Approximately 25 minutes later, the owner approached us and stated he had overheard we were unhappy. He offered explanations but no accountability. I calmly explained that mistakes happen in business, but the response matters. We should not have had to request complimentary items or a discount; those should have been offered proactively. He stated he would apply a percentage discount. Which we assumed would be at least 40% off. While waiting for dessert, around 9:40 PM, a forgotten side dish arrived at the table, further highlighting the lack of organization. We had brought our own 8-inch cake, which the restaurant's website states is permitted with a cutting fee. The cake was visible on the table the entire evening and we let her know we wanted to have the cake in addition to the to the dessert we ordered. Despite this, No one offered to cut the cake, provide plates, or utensils. When we followed up about the cake which was still sitting on our table, our server stated she thought we were cutting it ourselves, which is unreasonable in a fine-dining setting, especially without being provided knives or plates. She then said they would charge us a fee if they cut it, which we expected but felt unfair given all we had experienced. She then offered to cut it for free, but by that point we requested the check, it was almost 10pm. The check reflected only a 10% discount, with an 18% automatic gratuity still applied, despite the extensive service failures. Given the circumstances, we expected at minimum that gratuity would be removed. My wife and I calmly approached the owner and stated, "We hate to do this to a Black-owned business, but this experience is unacceptable." His response was, "That's the best we can do. Y'all still ate." When we explained that we ate only because it had been over two hours and we were starving, he became hostile, stating, "Get out. I'll get wild with you in my restaurant." He then raised his voice, used obscenities, and demanded we "pay and get out." We left the restaurant. Our friends remained behind and later reported that the doors were locked and they were not allowed to leave until payment was made. They told us they were called "broke," told "I know your type," and intimidated until they paid the bill. What began as poor service escalated into verbal threats, intimidation, and behavior that was deeply alarming and unprofessional. We are longtime supporters of Black-owned businesses and are serial entrepreneurs ourselves. We regularly patronize and recommend businesses such as Virtue, Soul Food Lounge, and Daisy's Po' Boys. Despite this experience, I sincerely hope this business succeeds. However, due to the severity of this incident, we will never return and feel compelled to report it for the safety of others. Birthday Dinner Completely Ruined - Do Not Recommend I do not recommend this restaurant. Last night we had a reservation for 7:15 PM for a birthday dinner and arrived early. Despite that, we were not seated until 7:56 PM (confirmed by the server). The restaurant was busy due to Chicago Restaurant Week, which we understood, and we were prepared to be patient. Unfortunately, the experience deteriorated from there. After being seated, it took about 30 minutes for our server to take our food and drink orders. About 20 minutes after ordering, we were informed that one of the appetizers (biscuits) was out of stock. The birthday guest had ordered them and chose not to replace the item. While disappointing, we decided to continue with the meal. We were later told the kitchen was backed up and experiencing internal challenges. We asked if there was anything that could be done to accommodate us. Our drinks arrived roughly 40 minutes after ordering, and the appetizers arrived about 2 minutes later. Several guests ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and were disappointed to receive extremely small portions after such a long wait (for example, two slices of fried green tomatoes and one deviled egg). At this point, it was around 9:00 PM, and we still had not received our entrees. The server brought a complimentary round of drinks without informing us ahead of time. By then, we had been waiting over two hours for food. When entrees finally arrived, two guests received "Filet Medallions" ordered medium and medium-rare. The steaks were actually skirt steak (later confirmed by management) and were cooked medium-well and well done. We requested a manager. The manager arrived about 25 minutes later, did not apologize, and offered to have the steaks refired. One refired steak returned raw and was sent back with no replacement requested. No meaningful resolution was offered at that time. Around 9:45 PM, after waiting another 20+ minutes, the owner came to our table. He explained that the menu item was misprinted and should not have been listed as filet, and that the server should have informed us. He stated he would "take something off the bill," but did not specify an amount. Dessert was then discussed. We had brought a cake, which the restaurant's website states is allowed with a cutting fee. The birthday dessert was brought out, but our cake remained untouched. When we followed up, the server initially mentioned the cutting fee despite the circumstances. A later offer was made, but by then it was 10:00 PM or later, and we requested the check. The bill reflected approximately a 15% discount, while an 18% automatic gratuity was still applied. Given the length of the wait, service failures, and food issues, this felt inadequate. When my husband calmly approached the owner to discuss the bill, he was told this was "the best we can do." When we continued the conversation, the owner became hostile, raised his voice, used obscenities, and told us to "get out" and that he would "get wild." No threats or physical actions had been made by us. As we gathered our belongings, the owner continued yelling and threatening to call the police. After we left, our friends reported that the doors were locked, they were insulted, and they felt intimidated until the bill was paid. Southern Chicago I really wanted to love Southern Chicago. As a neighborhood upscale soul food restaurant that opened just a few months ago, it has all the ingredients for success. There is a beautiful space, strong concept, and a menu that promises elevated Southern comfort. My wife and I dined there last weekend during Restaurant Week with a party of four and a 7:15 p.m. reservation. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the ambition. From the start, service felt strained. For the first 25-30 minutes, we were sharing water because we didn't have enough glasses at the table. Our entrées did not arrive until 9:15 p.m. a full two hours after our reservation time. One salad from our order never arrived at all. When the food finally did come out, we realized we didn't have enough dinner plates and had to steal extras from an empty nearby table because the service team was too busy to check on us. What was most concerning was the noticeable absence of management. I didn't see a manager making table touches throughout the evening. When I asked if one was available, I was told she was in the back office. Given the delays and service missteps, visible leadership in the dining room would have made a significant difference. The side dishes, all ordered à la carte, were underwhelming. The Brussels sprouts were chewy and had to be sent back. The mashed potatoes tasted as though they were made from a boxed product. The mac and cheese and collard greens were serviceable but nothing memorable, especially at fine-dining prices. Now for the bright spot: the Honey Glazed Fried Chicken. It was, without exaggeration, some of the best fried chicken I have ever tasted in my life. Perfectly crisp, flavorful, and balanced with sweetness. It was the undeniable star of the evening. We would absolutely return for the chicken alone. Overall, however, Southern Chicago felt overpriced and underdelivered in both service and food execution. That is especially disappointing because this is a neighborhood restaurant for us, and I genuinely want to see them succeed. I also believe strongly in supporting Black-owned businesses, which made the experience even more frustrating. With stronger management presence, tighter kitchen execution, and more attentive service, Southern Chicago could absolutely live up to its promise. For now, though, my wife and I will likely explore other dining options until the restaurant finds its footing. I truly hope they do because the potential is there. read more

I made a solo reservation through OpenTable and arrived a bit early. I asked the female maître d' if the timing would be an issue, and she assured me it wouldn't be--estimating about a five-minute wait. Unfortunately, the wait was much longer, and I eventually asked to sit at the bar. The bartender's attitude was not very welcoming. While the drink was made perfectly, it didn't make up for the initial experience. The food itself was great based on what I ordered. I visited Southern Chicago for the first time with a friend and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We had a 5:45 p.m. reservation and were seated shortly after arriving. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the ambiance is lovely. However, once seated, we were completely overlooked. For over an hour, we were not greeted, offered drinks or asked for our food order. During that time, surrounding tables on the same side of the restaurant were served drinks, appetizers, and had their orders taken. It became uncomfortable as staff appeared to debate whose table it was, with comments like "that's not my section." We eventually had to stop a server ourselves. When someone finally came over, we were told our table hadn't been covered because a larger party had taken priority even though they arrived an hour after us. While the server did apologize and take our order at that point, the lack of acknowledgment for such an extended period was unacceptable. Our food arrived about an hour and twenty minutes after being seated. While the flavors were really good, portions were extremely small. The deviled egg caviar appetizer included only one deviled egg with caviar and one with shrimp, the fried green tomatoes consisted of just two pieces, and the chicken entrée was lukewarm when it arrived. Even a simple acknowledgment or brief communication would have gone a long way, but being ignored for over an hour overshadowed the otherwise beautiful setting. First time here.. celebrating a birthday.. we had high expectations.. and were disappointed.. it took over 40 minutes to get our drinks.. 50 minutes for appetizers.. med/rare steak came out well done.. crab cakes: cold.. Rockefeller oysters: gooey.. the manager mandy promised to remove things off of the bill and she did not, even though some of the things she took back to the kitchen herself and witnessed.. we spent over $500 here and I will never come back.. I would suggest spending your money elsewhere.. the only one star I give is to Robin.. she was great and tried to accommodate us as best as she could. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I was disappointed in the service. Our reservation was for 12:30 pm and we didn't get any food it was 1:45 and NOTHING. We decided to leave. The waiter said it was overwhelmed, but their were more empty tables than occupied one's. One more thing no appetizers for people with shellfish allergies. read more

The Good News: The restaurant's aesthetic is striking--an elegant, visually compelling space that sets high expectations. The Bad News: Those expectations are swiftly undermined by a front-of-house operation so fundamentally broken that one questions whether management understands what constitutes acceptable service in the hospitality industry. On Friday, November 22nd, my party of three held 7:45 PM reservations, confirmed earlier that day. We arrived at 7:35 PM. Three tables sat conspicuously empty. We were told to wait. 7:45 PM. 7:50 PM. 7:55 PM. 8:00 PM. 8:05 PM. Still standing. At 8:07 PM--27 minutes past our reservation--one of my companions inquired about the delay. The hostess offered vague reassurances signaling either ignorance or indifference. When pressed about the vacant tables, she explained they were "reserved." My companion's logical response--"Reserved for reservations? We have one"--was met with silence and dismissive inattention. Accountability, apparently, is not part of the service model. Seated at 8:12 PM, the dysfunction continued. My companion's first drink? Sold out--a pineapple shortage is a thing at Southern Chicago. Second choice? Also sold out. Basic inventory management, on a Saturday night, appears aspirational at Southern Chicago. We ordered food at 8:14 PM. By 8:47 PM--33 minutes later--we had received nothing. Staff promises of "I'll get someone for you" yielded no one. At 8:48 PM, having spent over an hour without consuming a single item, we decided to leave. Our waitress's response? A cheerful "Oh, okay!"--relief at being absolved of responsibility. Her demeanor soured only when I requested management. What we experienced wasn't teething trouble--it was systematic failure at every level. Beautiful dining rooms cannot compensate for operations lacking training, oversight, and professional standards. Until management demonstrates basic competence--seating guests on time, maintaining inventory, delivering service--I strongly advise diners to look elsewhere. Southern Chicago may look the part, but is woefully unprepared to play it. Those three vacant tables? They remained empty throughout this entire debacle. read more

April 18, 1965 .....Food was very good.... My only opinion not a complaint. The crab meat on top of the fried green tomatoes. It's so unnecessary.... It does not enhance the taste of the delicious fried tomatoes. I had the salmon that's a full entree, it comes with sautéed spinach and very creamy mash potatoes. Id give it a10/10. My husband had the maple grazed fried chicken with the sweet potatoes and collard greens with turkey meat. Absolutely 10/10. So glad we didn't make our decision on others reviews. Went Saturday, 4pm reservation, seated promptly. Decor is beautiful, casually modern upscale-ish. No dress code concerns, some are dress after 5 others in jeans. Menu is fully ala carte, no bread offered, room temp water, they will bring a glass of ice if requested. Meals are cooked to order so be ready for a wait. Sides are suppose to be shareable, barely. More like I'll order and you can taste it. Salmon was over cooked, fried chicken in maple syrup was growing in syrup(needed a waffle). Pasta took the longest to come out, how? Cornbread was dry and crumbly, butter with a pea size amout of honey provided. Overall, part of 4, $280 , 18%gratuity included. Atmosphere and service is great, food meh!! I had such a nice experience at this Southern restaurant in Chicago near 20th and Wabash. From the moment I walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. The host, Reese, was very pleasant and made a great first impression. Our server, Messler I may be pronouncing his name wrong was nice as well, though I would have loved a little more detail about the menu items since we ordered appetizers. We tried the baked macaroni and cheese, asparagus, crab cake, Cullerton salad, shrimp and calamari, and dessert. My favorite was definitely the Cullerton salad it was so delicious. The macaroni and cheese was my least favorite, not because it was bad, but because it just wasn't what I expected. The atmosphere was amazing, the music was nice, and the drinks were delicious. My son loved his Old Fashioned, and I really enjoyed my Paper Plane. I also appreciated the general manager, Mandy, stopping by to check on us. When I mentioned the shrimp and calamari portion seemed a little short, she offered us a fresh batch, and it came out really good. Eddie was also great with clearing the table and keeping our waters refilled. Overall, the food, service, drinks, and atmosphere made it a great experience.
