Great bite off the bone as I like. Falloff the bone is not my favorite texture. Term is definitely over used in the bbq world. Potato salad was delicious. Peel left in using red potatoes ...perfect. Only negative is the price. $23 for 6 bones of ribs and 4oz of potato salad. It's good but no way quantifies the price. See picture below. As a vegetarian, mostly vegan, I can say there are options though a bit limited. I just had some fried okra and a piece of cornbread. The cashier and manager insisted I try the cornbread and I'm glad I did. It was the best I've had in a long time. The rest of our dinner party got a variety of things from hash and rice to the brisket platter, ribs and chicken. They all cleaned their plates and enjoyed every morsel. I loved the sauces at the tables as well. This place has a family friendly environment , great for groups or solo meals. I recommend visiting if you're in the mood for bbq. read more

Pulled up and there were friends of workers blasting music in the parking lot with megaphones but I do not blame the restaurant for that but it did make the whole experience a little more frustrating. when we waked in we weren't greeted and after our order we payed over $30 for two meals and the food wasn't even that good. Was still hungry afterward and I have never finished a meal anywhere else. Called to get an order for pick up on a Thursday at 1630 and was on hold for 15-20 mins. No one came back and I hung up, called back and went straight to voice mail. Ok they are busy. I went to the store to order my food. NO customers in the place, 3 employees with two play fighting behind the counter. I ordered my first meal and was told they don't have tater and gravy. I showed the employee the menu and she said they still don't have it. I ordered a sausage dog, and they didn't have any sausage. I tried to order brisket, and they said it wasn't ready yet. Finally, I asked for the boss and told him everything and all he could say was It looks like we are having a day, and we will try to do better. Terrible customer service. Everyone including the manager needs to be fired. read more

Not a good experience. We arrived at 7:25pm, Thursday, 8-21, well before closing time. The semi-snarly cashier said hello and asked if we were eating in or carrying out (eating in...at first). Two things to know for ordering: SC charges a fee for credit card payment; withhold providing a tip until AFTER your meal. The meals arrived quickly, but with the sides mixed up. No big deal, but the server didn't notice. Staff started clean-up at 7:40 which wasn't too surprising since we were the only two customers. The Good: entrees, sides, and cornbread all tasted very good. But wait.... The Bad #1: meat entrees (ribs, brisket, pulled pork) were very, VERY dry. Collards tasted good, but were dry--at first I was pleased they weren't soupy. Baked beans were ok, and could've been out of a can of high quality. The Bad #2: Salt and pepper shakers had BBQ sauce residue on them, and the BBQ squirt containers were slippery and one leaked (the vinegar one...great stuff to have all over the table and one's arm). The Ugly #1: no one checked to see if our meals were ok, even though the order taker passed by our table twice while cleaning up. Aren't they supposed to check? Or, do servers get tips only for not dropping the food while they serve it? Just asking. The UGLY #2: The place is small, and the man and woman in the back carried on like two sailors: yelling at each other, calling each other queer, etc., and then we heard the woman discuss results of her PAP smear or to explain to the man just what a PAP smear was....great sounds for dinner ambience (NOT). Come to think of it, if the cashier had to listen to the two in the back for an entire shift, no surprise she was snarly. After the PAP smear discussion, we decided to get boxes for our food and leave. For the Bad and Ugly noted above, we recommend against this place. Thanks to Yelp, this place was recommended!! Yes this is as good as everyone is saying! The place is clean and plenty of seating. The menu has a lot of choices both meats and sides. The prices are reasonable and well worth it! It is kinda hard to decide on what you want. The only thing I didn't' see on the menu was the option to pick a combo of meats. I decided on the ribs, macaroni and cheese and collards. You also have an option of cornbread or rolls which was nice. I took a bite of each and already gave them 5 stars! The meat fell of the bone, so tender and tasty! You have 3 options of sauces too! The macaroni and cheese was delicious! The greens were chopped real fine. I like mine a bit more seasoned but they still were very good. They also sell fresh pork skins that were wonderful!! This used to be one of our go to places in Fayetteville. $15.86 for a tiny bowl of Brunswick stew that tasted like it was from a month ago probably reheated several times. 2 tiny dinner rolls with some dry hard brisket, a tiny cup of dry Mac and cheese that was definitely not fresh and had been reheated several times and a side of fries. The fries were good.. So sad how restaurants in this town get Fayettevilized, you would think that the owners would take more pride in the quality of their food. read more

I ended up getting their feature of the day which was the Pulled Chicken Plate with two sides. It also came with either cornbread or a roll and I chose the cornbread. The sides I ended up getting were the macaroni and cheese and coleslaw. These were classic and as expected. The coleslaw was refreshing without being too sweet with a little tang and the mac n' cheese was nice and creamy. The cornbread was delicious too. Overall, it was just what I wanted! This place also does catering with bulk pricing for any occasion such as weddings or birthdays. Worth considering if you have an event coming up. I went to this place because of all the good reviews. The aesthetic is so super cute. The employee at the front was very attentive and greeted us as soon as we walked in the door. Now on to the food.... This pulled pork was DRYYYYY and definitely not Carolina pork. Make sure you get some sauce because you're going to need it. The collards were pulverized collards and yes, these taste like canned green beans and the potatoes need some more love too. I don't know that we will be back. read more

It has to be the cleanest restaurant I have visited in the Fayetteville area. Now for the food. The wife and I were not quite feeling Bar-b-que today but wanted to try their chicken salad. We had heard good things and we were not disappointed. I did get a sausage dog just so we could try the flavor of the sausage and sample some sauces. The sausage was good but we really enjoyed the sauces. We had a split decision at our table. My wife enjoyed the Red Neck Yum Yum (sweet) and I enjoyed the Big Daddy Hump Sauce (more like an NC BBQ sauce). We did not try the Superman Sauce. Nice solid BBQ. My husband has been wanting to try brisket since moving to NC. Most places serve just pork and chicken. I ordered the 2 piece smoked sausage meal with fried okra and potato salad,and he ordered the brisket with Mac n cheese and fries. The Mac n cheese was a bit dry but tasty.
