    Ravioli with sauce

We had 8 people in our group and they sat us at a square table. It was so nice that we could all talk to each other. Our waitress was wonderful!! I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and broccoli, oh so good. Toasted ravioli was an appetizer but someone ordered it for a meal, you get a lot of food! The fried chicken was sooo crispy!

Stopped here on the way to downtown Alton to get lunch. I had the striped pangasius blackened and the wife had the fried chicken. Both were good. The fish was salty and well seasoned. There was no need for the tartar sauce that came with it. Fried chicken was excellent. The breading was well seasoned and the meat moist. Service was friendly and quick.

Well, maybe I should've gone with the fried chicken? I ordered Chicken Provolone and it was good. But not really anything to write home about, except that it was a large serving size. So, I got another meal out of the leftovers. The salad was rather disappointing, only iceberg, lettuce and dressing. Nothing else. My cocktail was good, as was the service. We were seated in a back room, so felt a little removed from the rest of the folks?

Castelli's restaurant has some of the best fried chicken that I've had in a while, from the moment I walked in I felt so welcomed, I was greeted even before I had entered the restaurant completely, once seated the fresh bread was being sat on the table before I could take my coat off and that's when I knew I would love this place. The restaurant gives a late 80s early 90s appearance but was very clean. While you wait to be seated they have a bar area if you want a drink and also a few slot machines. The food was delightful and plentiful and the prices are reasonable. I don't live in the area of the restaurant but I'll definitely make another trip.

The staff directed us to our seats as quickly as possible. Our server brought our drinks and we ordered our entrees. The fried chicken and pasta arrived and both of our dishes were expertly prepared. We will definitely return!

Overall the food was decent. It was unseasoned for the most part and bland. The skin on the chicken was hard to eat and the dinner salad seemed like it came out of a bag from Walmart. The burger was good, as well as the ravioli and garlic cheese bread. But I do not think we will be coming back. We were very close to the kitchen yet our server did not come back very often or checked up on us after we got our food. I understand that the restaurant was very busy at the time and they were preparing for a bigger party. The restaurant itself seems like a fancier place that runs on its reputation. I believe it has been in business since 1937. It could be that we came on a Sunday for the reason of everyone else's fancy attire. Overall, I think this place is somewhere that is good for a burger and fries but not for its 'famous' chicken.

Very 80's / 90's decor, but very clean & well maintained & the seating is very accommodating and comfortable. The tables have very sturdy extenders which is nice when you have appetizers! The lighting is good for the ambiance, however overall the vibe would improve with some intentional music. My husband really enjoyed his steak! The appetizer sampler platter was HUGE! I had the lasagna (I'm not sharing a photo of it as I request over baked and don't want to misrepresent what the establishment would normally serve) & it was really good! Our server was very attentive. Our family of 4 did appetizer platter, 1 steak, 1 pasta, 1 seafood, 1 chicken meal and spent about $150 before tip. Overall, solid 4 stars!

They're promoting a safe place for ladies to have fun and not have to go it alone when feeling uncomfortable. The entire crew will have your back. It's a safe place. I met two female friends here for Happy Hour this past Friday. I thought I'd arrive early to secure a table, when I did the bar was already packed and it was just 5PM. I was greeted by a male bartender, who poured a good and refreshing Tito's with Seltzer. Pricing for a call brand was cheap. Not sure if it was a HH deal or not. I'll update that on next visit. The best way to describe, Catdaddy's is that it is an upscale dive bar. Its crowd was a good mix of ages, sexes and diversity. We were still there during the bartender change and the young lady who came on duty was also, attentive and friendly. There's no full kitchen, but they do offer bar pizzas, if you need a nosh to cut the liquor. I had fun, so I know I'll be back.

Having recently moved to the River-bend area, I am out exploring my new territory. I am on the search for great burgers, wings, pizza and other popular pub foods. Going home from my cousins, I was traveling a side backroad and as I was passing 3rd Chute, I quickly entered the second entrance. I was surprised that they had added a second location and became anxious to see their pub fare. The COVID restrictions had just been lifted today, so their was a mix of mask and non-mask wearers in the restaurant. The majority of the staff was mask-less and half the patrons like myself were still wearing one. I seated myself at the far end of the bar and I'd be damned if a young man didn't come sit next to me with only one stool between us. At first i was miffed, but when I looked, he too was a mask wearer. When I pulled into the lot, my intentions was to get wings or a burger. However, my mind was quickly changed when I found out what the special of the day was. Their special was Fried Catfish! It came with two fillets of fish and two sides. I'm a fan of catfish, so I was sold. They had signage up promoting Jayne's famous chili, so I went ahead and had a small bowl as one of my sides. It was very mild. I like some spice and heat to my chili, but I can see why a lot of folks may be excited about hers. For my other side I choose fries. They served up the thin shoestring type fries similar to a famous burger chain. They were extra crispy and only lightly salted, which I like. Then there was the catfish, the two fillets were larger then I had anticipated, but I managed to eat them all. They came with a thick slice of white bread, similar to Texas toast and a generous slice of white onion. I'd get this special again, if offered. Except I'd replace the chili with coleslaw a side dish that goes better with fried catfish. When in a pub, you gotta drink booze, so I enjoyed a, Love Gun from Heavy Riff.
