The decor is for the mature ice cream lover with a garage door that opens to the sidewalk, a beautiful chandelier in the interior seating area & a cozy fireplace on the interior wall. Another thing that I loved about this custard creamery is that doesn't overwhelm you with too many options but provides the best quality you can find. Be prepared for a little wait because the custard is really that GOOD & the line may be a little long but it's so worth the wait. I ordered the Neapolitan Sundae. Simple right?! Walking in, this dessert option does not offer a wide variety of options but rather only chocolate, vanilla, and a flavor of the day. When I went the flavor of the day was pistachio but there is a calendar that will tell you all of the flavors of the day. I ordered a vanilla custard topped with strawberries and a root beer float. The custard is definitely top notch it's super creamy and sweet, with the balance of the tart strawberries on top it reminded me of costcos strawberry custard. This is a great place to come for dessert. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I tried the vanilla custard with Oreo topping and my husband had the poffertjes. Neither of us had tried or even heard of poffertjes before, but they were delicious! Like little pancakes, so cute and yummy. They always have chocolate and vanilla custard, then they have a different flavor of the day. They also had pints of different custards too. Stopped by for a quick evening treat. This place is a cool little spot and good for a small hangout. The ice cream flavor of the day was a apple crisp which I had, with a scoop vanilla. I added a drizzle of caramel and some pecans for crunch. The vanilla was very smooth, and everything was delicious. Really creamy custard! I'm from the Midwest so I've tried lots of good frozen custard and this place is definitely on my top list! The special flavor is made everyday and they sell the leftovers the next day in pints. They also have plain chocolate and vanilla. Ive tried the chocolate and it was amazing! Not too sweet and perfectly creamy! They also have pecan topping which I love and it's not too common in most ice cream places so there's a bonus point. I had the special chocolate peanut butter flavor and topped it with hot fudge and Reese's butter cups and it was out of this world. I love this place! I take my son every Friday now. It's different than other local ice cream places, I'm not sure if that has something to do with the "custard" part or what, but it's yummy! They always have vanilla (way better than traditional vanilla) and chocolate (yum) and a flavor of the day. My husband and I happen to be in Atlanta celebrating our anniversary and dinner was kind of a busy so my husband turned to Yelp for a dessert spot and luckily found this gem. The poffertjes caught my husband's eye and I've always loved gelato but gave up hope of good gelato since we've left Europe. We really enjoyed driving through the Brookhaven area on our way there, it's a beautiful area with cute neighborhoods. The staff was very warm and welcoming even though they were very busy on a Sunday evening. My husband had the poffertjes with a couple half scoops and a caramel topping and I had the special flavor of the day, Oreo Mint gelato. The quality and flavor of their gelato is so amazing and takes me back to Europe. It's not sugary or full of artificial flavors, just pure flavors, creamy and incredibly delicious.
