First time here dropped in at lunchtime at 12 o'clock on the nose only about 7 people in the restaurant. We handed a huge menu but was told nothing on the second page is available that plan said lunch specials and only select items only the first and third page And if they were also out of a couple different vegetables So let's play safe I opted for a club sandwich with coleslaw and fries After my order was placed, it was 28 minutes before I got my sandwich or shall I say my 1/2 of a sandwich Upon delivery, I guess the waitress noticed the far off look at my eye and the puzzled look. I was giving her and she asked me is everything OK? I asked her where is the other half of my sandwich she looked at it. And replied " well I don't know. I wondered why they only gave you half a sandwich, but it does have 3 pieces of bread in it." At this point another waitress came over the first waitress asked why did they give him a half a sandwich? The second waitress replied I just think that's how they're doing things now. The first waitress that asked me, would you like the rest of your sandwich?? I replied yes that would be great So off to the kitchen, she went and 15 minutes later comes my other half Apparently, this is their way of saving money. If you only give the customer half of what they order and try to pass it off as a full order. Employees are definitely not over enthusiastic to wait on you or to be very personable at all. The food was delicious- "broasted" chicken sandwich cooked to perfection. Sweet potato fries that were so tasty and homemade ranch sauce. My companions had the catfish which was delicious and wings that were perfect. We were on a road trip and stopped randomly and were so pleasantly surprised. The folks who work there are also super nice. On Rio of that- incredibly affordable and great portion sizes. read more

Solid straightforward southern food. No frills = cheaper bills. They have daily specials and their food regularly sells out, which means it's fresh. Fancy? No. Fresh? Always. Tasty? You bet. I was here two years ago for the first time. I had the fried catfish and thought it was the best I had ever had. After being away for two years, I returned this year, got the catfish again and was not disappointed. This is the best catfish ever. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Fish had a good flavor but a little greasy. Coleslaw had no flavor. Onion rings were good.

Went a few weeks ago for the all you can eat wings on Wednesday night. I initially ordered the mild wings, but they were way too hot for me (I don't usually have that problem for some reference). The waitress was very nice and brought me the next order with the sauce on the side so I could control the amount on there. The wings themselves were great, the sauce flavor was great, and the onion rings were really good as well. Service was pretty good. We'll be visiting again! read more

My first time here and I was excited because I looked at the menu before hand. Drove 45 minutes to try it out. I get here and they hand me two menus, then Tell me the first menu has limited choices that were replaced by the 2nd menu. So why even have the first menu if the items aren't available? They have choices of 8 sides for meals, I got to order and she tells me they are out of 6 of them..leaving me with only 2 sides that I don't Like. I went to order fried chicken and she said they were out of everything but thighs and legs. the waitress had zero personality..Im very understanding and realize people have bads days. But then I watch the other workers around me and it seems all negative. I never leave bad reviews but unfortunately there was nothing good on my first and last experience here. Food is ok...service is VERY slow. If you are not in a hurry then do breakfast. They need to update the building and the decor. The tables and boots look like they are from the 60's and very sticky as the floor is...a little vinegar and hot water would remedy that....we like to eat local, but eat here very seldom. read more

The waitress was nice and very helpful but that's about it. The shrimp plate I got tasted like something out of a box, coleslaw needed salt and pepper, onion rings were almost burnt, and I've had way better hush puppies elsewhere. Plus my sprite was like drinking carbonated water, had no syrup. You'd think with Linda Marie's across the street this place would try a little harder to be authentic. This is a good place to eat and usually one of the few places open in the area. Iv eaten here many of times since moving to Cave Spring and their food is good I would suggest being a bit more welcoming to tourists tho, iv been in town almost a year and sometimes still feel uncomfortable occasionally. With that said there is no doubt their food is good and definitely a reliable choice when in town. I always try to attend there wing Wednesday. But for breakfast there chicken biscuits are awesome. read more

We decided to give these little restaurant a try while we were visiting family in Cave Spring. The food was mediocre...not terrible. However, we had probably the worst service we've experienced in awhile. Our waitress came to get our order and brought our food, and those were the only two times we saw her. We never got refills on our drinks. My husband actually asked if I could just get a to-go drink while he was paying at the cash register, and she just hurriedly handed him an empty cup. He explained to her that we never received any refills so we didn't have drinks. However, we waited another 5 minutes and they never even brought that. I don't like to give bad reviews, but the whole experience was just terrible. read more

Deeeee-licious. Really. A classis "meat and three" type place with a rotating menu of meats and veggies (but with daily standbys like steak and gravy and catfish). The catfish was by far the best I've ever tasted: fresh, flaky, and crunchy outside without being greasy. My mom, typically a harsh mac 'n cheese critic, raved about their version. Too bad it's not on the menu every day! Southern Flavor started in Cedartown and just opened this Cave Spring branch in September 2013. It's already packed at lunch, but food still comes out fast and hot. The location has an awkward layout--which dogged the previous restaurant here--but the folks of Southern Flavor have definitely made some improvements and spruced it up. F Definitely a place to go every week, and the best lunch option in town! For those not familiar with Cave Spring, Southern Flavor is located on the main corner of town--there is no big sign up yet, just a decal in the window. read more

While staying in Cave Spring my wife ate here for dinner and breakfast the following morning. The chicken fingers were as good as they were back in October when we last came here. Breaded and fried fresh and you can taste it--juicy, flavorful and just damn good. Tea and fries also very good. For breakfast the Mexican Omelette was one of the best I've had at a restaurant in years--puts Waffle House's comparable omelette to shame. Biscuits, grits and hash browns were also fresh and excellent. Coffee was solid as well. The service was fast and friendly both at night and the next day (same hard-working ladies). Call me a Karen, but I've been eating here for a few years on and off now. My favorite thing they serve is their Chicken Club sandwich basket. It's always been consistently great. After going back after a break though, the chicken had stringy fat still left in the sandwich.. my fries were no where near cooked all the way, and my bacon was entirely too salty too eat. I ending up throwing half the plate away. Very disappointed because I usually look forwarded to eating their food. read more

Tried the buffalo wings and fries! Good flavor. My boyfriend had the hot wings with sweet potato fries. The SP fries were SOOO good. Better than most places. Also had a side of fried okra.. which definitely hit the spot! Service could've been better but I left with a clean plate! read more

The people here are always friendly and the service is fast. If you're getting something to go they have a couple of tables outside you can wait at if you would rather wait outside and the food is GREAT!!! Good, authentic southern cooking at this place! read more
