Stopped at Creekside for a bite to eat. We had visited the Cave Spring GA wanted to grab something to eat before the long drive home. I'm glad we picked Creekside Restaurant. i hachbrif burger, which I can't recommend highly enough. The side potatoes were good too. T got the smoked meatloaf with hpuse tater salad and the Creekside spinach. He had nothing but compliments and cleaned his plate. We will stop in here again next we are through Cave Springs.

Appetizer... just plain shredded dry chicken and dry pimento cheese.

Father's Day... we decided to take a mini road trip and go to Cave Springs... we've passed thru headed home from Alpharetta several times but it's always after dark and late so we have never had a chance to see anything. This restaurant appeared to be the only one open so we decided to try it. Our server was attentive in the beginning and then pretty much forgot about us after seating us, getting our drink orders, and bringing our food. We had to ask Carla, who was definitely on the ball, for drink refills and pretty much for anything we asked. It wasn't crowded - especially with social distancing. We were really disappointed in the food overall. Ordered the chik salad and pimento cheese appetizer since we'd not had breakfast or lunch and it was close to 3 PM. It was really just plain dry shredded cheese and dry pimento cheese with some wilted lettuce and a basket of crackers. We ordered the fried cod and fried shrimp meal but only received the cod and had to ask for the shrimp which came some time later - the sides were macaroni & cheese and pinto beans... the fish and shrimp had a good taste... the mac & cheese and pinto beans were unremarkable... no seasoning, no taste. Reminded me of being in a nursing home with elderly people who can't have anything but bland, dull food. We also ordered a ribeye steak with grilled shrimp, a side salad, and mashed potatoes. The steak was very tender but was heavily seasoned and really salty tasting... too much! The mashed potatoes had no seasoning. We had to ask for salt and pepper to try and make the sides edible. The side salad had blueberries, strawberries, green & red grapes, cucumbers, red & yellow peppers, fresh tomatoes, and wilted brown lettuce! Sad because it could have been a really good salad! The blue cheese dressing was homemade they said and good. Overall, very disappointed, especially for the price of $71 before tip! The steak must have been super expensive because the other food items were fairly priced. There were no prices listed on the menu for steaks... just a note to ask about them... they only serve NY strips and ribeyes. We weren't actually given a ticket at the table, just told to go to the register and pay... the owner runs the register and just adds up your ticket by looking at the hand written order. He uses a POS system like most others do these days... he did ask if we wanted a receipt but at that point, why? The owner talked to us a couple of times and is very nice but they need to work on their food. They haven't been open very long... 2018 I believe he said and they closed for a month due to covid. Hoping they make it but they will have to improve on the taste of their food, especially for the prices they charge.

Very good BBQ and steaks in a family run local restaurant. The service was on point as well.

Food was good, but by 3:00 they were out of a lot of menu items. Staff is friendly, but slow.

We handed a huge menu but was told nothing on the second page is available that plan said lunch specials and only select items only the first and third page And if they were also out of a couple different vegetables So let's play safe I opted for a club sandwich with coleslaw and fries After my order was placed, it was 28 minutes before I got my sandwich or shall I say my 1/2 of a sandwich Upon delivery, I guess the waitress noticed the far off look at my eye and the puzzled look. I was giving her and she asked me is everything OK? I asked her where is the other half of my sandwich she looked at it. And replied " well I don't know. I wondered why they only gave you half a sandwich, but it does have 3 pieces of bread in it." At this point another waitress came over the first waitress asked why did they give him a half a sandwich? The second waitress replied I just think that's how they're doing things now. The first waitress that asked me, would you like the rest of your sandwich?? I replied yes that would be great So off to the kitchen, she went and 15 minutes later comes my other half Apparently, this is their way of saving money. If you only give the customer half of what they order and try to pass it off as a full order. Employees are definitely not over enthusiastic to wait on you or to be very personable at all. Overall, pretty dissatisfying experience will definitely not be stopping by again

I sat inside where there was table, bar, and highboy seating. I ordered the Smoked & Fried Wings buffalo, with upcharge for flats/drums and an extra sauce (one Ranch and one Bleu Cheese). And the Shorty Johnson, which is a pair of deep fried back-wrapped beef dogs with a side of fries. The wings were scrawny without much meat. But the flavors were great and the smokiness came through. And the buffalo seasoning was nice and the flats were tender. The Blue cheese dipping sauce was chunky and had a good flavor. The Ranch dipping sauce was boring and did not have the punchy flavor of a hand made dressing. The carrot and celery were adequate. The hot dog was properly cooked and drained and the bacon wrapping had a good texture. But there was no bacon flavor, although the flavor of the dog itself was good. The bun was dry and flavorless. The side of fries were cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned and a good portion. Service was barely adequate. They delivered the wings but did not provide any napkins and I had to wait for them to pass by and get their attention to request them. My drink refill was also a bit slow in coming.

I really enjoyed the tenders. The hot honey sauce I had on the side and it was excellent. I also got some regular syrup for my waffle which was very good. The six of us four of us got the chicken waffles. Also the french fries were very good. So if you're coming visiting the area, stop by .? Come out and support these people. We will.

The teas were excellent and the food had a good variety. The BLT Biscuits were the star for us. Favorite teas were the French Lavender (it's actually from France!) and the Pomegranate Oolong. The drive through the Mentone area is always beautiful and there's lots of cool studios and artsy things to do in the surrounding area. I will say they absolutely delivered on the Alice in Wonderland theme. It's wall-to-wall memorabilia, decorations, and cute ideas that allude to the classic story. If you're an Alice fan...definitely check it out. I wouldn't mind a few more Cheshire cats, though. :) Service was okay, honestly a bit disheveled and didn't seem in the best mood. We arrived early for lunch around 11:15. They initially sat our party of 3 at a table with chairs for 8-10. My mom even asked if they were sure they wanted to put us there and they affirmed the decision. They seemed confused that we were there and unsure what to do with us, even though I don't think anyone else who came in after us had a reservation or anything. Anyway, about 5 minutes later a giant party rolled up and they wound up moving us anyway. Fortunately we hadn't gotten drinks or anything yet. Due to the large size of some of the furniture pieces, navigation around the restaurant can be a little challenging. Also, the chair I sat in at table 2.0 had a sort of musty smell that I didn't love, lol. Minor nitpicks but it does sort of add up. Anyway, we placed our orders for food. They have a nice menu for teas and I'm sure it would be fun to have a tea party here, but it was too hot for me to partake. My mom got the biscuit BLT, my dad had a turkey wrap, and I got the chicken and biscuits, which is a bit like a chicken pot pie without bottom crust. For sides, my parents got the baked potato salad and crunchy pea salad, and I got the southern hot corn casserole. The sides were definitely the high point. The pea salad was crisp and refreshing and the baked potato salad was creamy and flavorful. My corn casserole wasn't terribly spicy but had a nice blend of flavors and textures, though it was perhaps slightly overcooked (the cheese on top was approaching crispy). They also didn't initially bring it out with my meal, but got it quickly after I asked for it. The entrees, however, fell flat. Mine was probably the most successful but it was ultimately pretty bland and there wasn't a whole lot of chicken in the meal -- mostly biscuits and gravy/filling. My mom's bacon in her BLT was very badly overcooked (even for someone who likes crispier bacon) and the biscuits were pretty crumbly. And my dad's turkey wrap was super underwhelming, about like what you'd buy pre-prepared from the deli section at Target or something. I sound like I'm coming across harsh and I wouldn't say we had a bad time, just the food didn't really meet our hopes/expectations. Definitely delivered on theme and decor. I think it's worth a try if you're a huge Alice in Wonderland fan or just enjoy whimsy in your life. The menu is creative and breakfast offerings sound good; perhaps it just wasn't quite our day that day. I'm glad I got the chance to try it out though.
