My almost-20-year-old house still had the original builder-grade aluminum windows that leaked like a sieve (not to mention they were ugly, falling apart, and half of them had not opened in 10 years!). I researched window companies and windows in general and finally settled on three local contractors. I needed heavy-duty windows for west-facing windows in north Texas. I could feel heat radiating from the glass up to 2 feet away from the windows! Paul himself, a co-owner at Fidelity Home Improvements, came over with window samples, took some measurements, and showed me pictures of the installation process so I'd know what to expect. He was extremely easy to work with, very communicative, and not pushy AT ALL. In fact, he wasn't even "salesy" which is great! He was like a friend coming over to show me a window. He also found a slimmer-line frame for my front door sidelights, which was really important to me because I didn't want to lose glass space in an already-narrow window (vinyl windows are a bit bulkier than aluminum). Fidelity gave me a very fair quote, then the installer came a few days later to take precise measurements to make sure the windows will fit perfectly. The longest wait was the manufacturing since windows are custom-built, but Paul and the installer kept me informed of where we were at in the process. Installation Day was super easy and over in just one day. The crew all spoke English (so I could ask questions!) and kept the house very clean, and they were extremely respectful. They did a great job, and the windows fit perfectly. After the first one was installed, I stood in front of it with the sun glaring in. NO HEAT. Even later in the day after the sun had been beating down on it for hours, the glass felt slightly warm to the touch, but the air right in front of it was cool. AMAZING. Looking forward to saving a ton on energy bills this summer! Everything is well-sealed, and my noise-sensitive daughter reported a good night's sleep because she couldn't hear outside noises coming in the window! The first day they installed the windows on the west side of the house and I could feel with the difference immediately. I stood in front of the windows with the sun beaming, it was 96 degrees that day I didn't feel any heat on the glass, felt slightly warm to the touch, plus we had our blinds opened. Truly AMAZING! Eric quickly returned our call and even set up a same day appointment to meet and discuss the project. The work on the exterior of our home was extensive, a total replacement of the fireplace siding, replacement of all-rotten/damage boards and the entire exterior painted. Eric was professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. Once work began, he was on site daily, sometimes twice a day to ensure that everything was being taken care of. They addressed a couple of minor issues immediately, and aside from that, everything went perfectly smoothly. We were referred to Fidelity Windows by a friend that was previously in the window replacement business. Our sales rep, Marny was very helpful & patient with us during the decision making process, as was Paul. We replaced all 22 of the original builders grade windows in our 33 year old home. The manufacturing time took longer than we would have preferred but it was well worth the wait. Corey & his installation crew were awsome! It took them 3 days due to the extreme heatwave we're currently experiencing but they were very respectful of our home, leaving it as clean or cleaner than before. We were we are very pleased with the results.
