Maybe one of the nicest, honest guys I've met in a long time. Larry Porch is the real deal -- a…read moreprofessional and a vet that needs the work this year with everything going on. He responded in an hour, explained every little detail to me, and had my furnace up and running again in an hour. His price was refreshingly fair and, as a result, I will use him again and recommend him to anyone that asks. Already dropped a referral on the Nextdoor app.

Stay away. This man has a violent temper when you question his work. He came and reinstalled our…read moreHVAC unit after we discovered it had been leaking through the floor into the downstairs ceiling. This was over the winter. It took him an eternity to put it back together, over three days, to a tune of $3,000. We could have basically bought a brand new unit for that price. The outside thermostat, which we never had a problem with before, was all of a sudden broken after he did the reinstall. Fast forward to spring and hotter temperatures. We noticed the drain pan was full of water again, and there was a leak in one of the pipes that runs the water out of the house from the drain pan. We would not have tested the AC in the winter, obviously. We called him out to repair it, since this was not an issue we had before he reinstalled the unit. He came out and applied glue to the leaking joint and blew out the drain lines, claiming they were clogged, and charged us $180 for it. The next day, we check on the leak, and it's *worse* than it was before. Water just steadily flowing all over the floor from the spot where he glued the joint together. Before his "repair," it had been a very small leak. We called him out again, and requested he replace the entire piping and do the work correctly. When he came back, I had a chance to speak to him and he got angry because I questioned his work, which is my right to do as a customer, and broke the door to my A.C. closet in a violent outburst because he couldn't deal with his work being questioned, repeat repair work that should have been done correctly the first time he came out. He is completely unprofessional and has no idea what he's doing. Couple that with his inability to maintain a professional and courteous manner with customers leads me to warn anyone looking at him for repair work to take your business elsewhere.

I wanted to share an excellent experience I recently had with ProVac Heating & Cooling. When my…read morefurnace went down, it became an emergency in this cold weather and I promptly reached out to several vendors. Only one vendor was willing to come out the very same day to save the day and it was Provac. Joe Guerrero came out and not only got my unit fired up again, but also took the time to point out the reasons that caused my unit to shut down. That really solidified my trust in his level of service. I have had Provac come out for other emergency issues as well and was expeditiously taken care of every single time. What really stands out is how much money I've saved by being on their maintenance plan. Instead of waiting for breakdowns or surprise repair costs, everything is checked, cleaned, and maintained before it becomes a problem. They offer same-day service, show up on time, and actually explain what's going on with the system in a way that makes sense. Most importantly, they don't try to sell you a laundry list of unnecessary repairs. Every visit feels honest and transparent -- just what actually needs attention and what can wait. You can tell they genuinely have the customer's best interest in mind, not just making a sale. That peace of mind alone is worth it. If you're looking for a company you can trust long-term, ProVac Heating & Cooling has earned it. Please give Provac Heating and Cooling a call at 571-977-6822 for all of your Heating and Cooling needs. You won't be disappointed!!

It can be difficult to find honest and reliable HVAC companies, but this experience stood out. I had several questions prepared about my refrigerant, capacitor, and overall system, but I found that I did not even need to ask them because Jerry naturally addressed those topics during our conversation and explained everything clearly. He also completed a detailed inspection of my HVAC closet and offered a helpful recommendation for a better filter. The service was straightforward, with a flat fee and no upselling or pressure, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be using Cold Comfort again for my annual maintenance.

They were able to send a guy same day to come take a look and they send you a picture of your technician so you know who to expect. Our heater was not repairable (and 14 years is end of life anyway) so they wrote us an invoice for replacement, which they were able to do next day! My only dock for a star is that the heater they installed was not the same as the one on the quote - hubs did some considerable research after the fact and it seems comparable, but it still feels a bit misleading.

On Thursday morning I told them I would be paying out of pocket and asked them to move forward. From that point there was nothing to wait on. In 100 degree heat heading into the July 4th weekend, I called repeatedly and could not get a single return call. Thursday at 6:30 I called to order the part and schedule installation. No callback. At 10:40 I called and asked for a manager. None was available. I was told the scheduler was out and that a manager would call me back within 15 to 20 minutes to get me scheduled. No manager called. At 13:00 I called again and was told my request would go to all managers. No one called. Friday at 10:20 I called and said I would take my business elsewhere without a callback. No one called. I took it elsewhere. The second company found the compressor was fine. The actual problem was a coolant leak, which they repaired, coolant included, for $580. So $629 all in solved what M.E. Flow quoted at $6,000, and even ready to pay in full I still couldn't get them to return a phone call. I can't recommend them.
