Dr ramaswamy is great!!! But like many have said THE STAFF is an issue! They are rude and the manager doesn't help either!!! They feel entitled! I have complained to Dr and he is very kind and understanding but his staff will cause issues to his business! They are rude the moment you walk in, they are not willing to help you with anything, when they have information for you they will not call you, they will wait till you call and ask specifically or wait till you go in to talk to them. I had high hopes for this appointment after waiting more than five months to get in. Unfortunately, the experience was disheartening due to significant administrative and clinical issues. Despite providing my primary and secondary insurance information well in advance, I was only informed upon arrival that they do not accept my secondary insurance and I would be billed for the visit. Had this been communicated to me earlier, I could've made other arrangements or found a physician who accepted both my insurances. It was also frustrating that, even with paperwork completed online prior to my appointment, I spent over an hour waiting: 45 minutes in the lobby and another 20 minutes in the exam room. When I finally saw the physician, the visit felt rushed. He checked my joints for only a split second, and the physical exam felt superficial and not comprehensive enough for a first-time patient. Communication was also a challenge due to a language barrier and the speed at which he spoke. Although I will get the ordered lab work done, I will not be returning to this physician for the follow-up. I now have to start the search for a new specialist all over again. read more

I had a referral to this office. I was scheduled months out. It's the new year and of course your insurance changes because it's the new year. I get a call 2 days before my appointment saying "we can't verify your insurance and you would need a new referral to be seen and again will be scheduled months out. Scheduled my appointment at least 6 weeks in advance doe my initial consultation. Arrive 15 minutes before my 1 PM appointment, door is locked due to COVID and the phone recording says they're closed daily for lunch from 12-2 PM. They answer the phone 5 minutes past my appointment time and I'm not even on the schedule EVER. They called me foe the appointment and mailed me the new patient forms and didn't even bother to put me on the schedule! Then she offers to schedule me 2 months from now instead of squeezing me in today, no thanks! I can't tell you my impression of the physician because I will never know. But, since I worked in the medical field for decades, I can tell you that a doctor is only as good as the staff they employ. What a waste of time - UGH! read more

tWO YEARS AGO, I was referred to Southland Rheumatology Group in Hemet,CA and found every member of this group are extremely courteous, and highly professionals. Series of tests were conducted as to the source of my myriad of body aches, pains and joint inflammations etc. I was finally assigned to Jin Yuchao, who I find to be compassionate and respectful towards his patients and patiently asked me how we can work together to address my medical concerns. His assessments and history taking were meticulously compared with the laboratory reports. Being an RN retired he was cognizant of probing his diagnostics and analyses. All in all, consultants and health providers at this rheumatology clinic in hemet, is a Treat! Honesty and Integrity and professionalism are rarity to find. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more

She is Totally Unprofessional and Rude. Due to our Uber car ride being late, to us. Uber finally showed. We finally made it there to Dr. Office. To Sandy saying we had to reschedule. But didn't Bother to reschedule us . Was more concerned when we were leaving so she could go to lunch. I filled out ALL of the paperwork there. (In that 50 minute window.) Still Neither one of the girls bothered to reaschedule this 87 year old man... In Constant pain. But DONE with That Office Altogether Because of The Way Sandy Conducted her self. I've NEVER Seen Anyone so focused on Themselves and their Lunch Break (Still 50 Minutes Away) (One of the 2 girls could have rescheduled an appointment. Within that 50 minute window) Neither of them did Anything accept try to badger me. It wasn't and isn't about Me. It's about the 87 year old patient whom needs a Rheumatologist. He Needs Help!!! I'm a caregiver for a lady that I have to bring here, I'm going to be telling her primary care doctor to send us elsewhere as neither of us is happy with the care she has received from this office. Let's start with the office itself- the waiting area is not set up to be wheelchair friendly it's a very tight space too many chairs and no where to park a wheelchair for it to not be in the way of people coming and going. The nurses- are very unfriendly they never smile and are very rude for the most part The doctor- now he either has alzheimers or too many patients to keep them all straight but he has told my patient the same thing everytime we see him and he acts like its news to us, the last visit he did it again and I finally told him "yeah we know you have told us this everytime we come". Her pain is still very bad and he doesn't do anything for her to even try to relieve the pain The receptionist- I dropped some paperwork off at the office that needed to be filled out by the doctor I waited a MONTH never heard back so I stop by the office to pick it up thinking oh they just forgot to call when it was ready..... wrong! The paperwork never got filled out I don't even think the doctor looked at it! I demanded the paperwork be returned to me and took it to the primary office and wow it was ready the FOLLOWING DAY! He understands pain, fibromyalgia and as far as I am concerned takes better care of me than my primary. His staff is fantastic. Referrals, front desk. If you want relief from your osteoarthritis pain, you must make an appointment with Dr. Mehta. I had been suffering for years but due to being a caregiver for my late husband, I did not take as good of care of myself as I should have. Dr. Mehta examined me, ordered both lab work and extensive x-rays, which showed arthritis throughout my body. He gave me an injection in my left knee as well as my lower back, and I can honestly say I am feeling relief from my pain. I am also using Voltaren Gel on my knees as well as my back and will begin water therapy soon. I feel very fortunate that Dr. Mehta is practicing in Hemet and so easy to get into see for an appointment. read more

This is the second time I go into this location. The first time I arrived at my scheduled appointment, that was confirmed over the telephone and when I arrived, they stated that the doctor didn't even see patients on that day. I was rescheduled for more than a month later. Today when I got there for my appointment, they took around 30 minutes to call me to the back. Once the back office called my name, I stood up, said hi, and the lady just said "step on the scale" I again, said hello, how are you and she kind of just rolled her eyes. Then after taking my weight, she started walking down the hall way, figured that was my cue to follow her? She then took my blood pressure, and when finished she just walked out of the room. So I waited for Dr Ramaswamy, which is great by the way! When I went to the front office to schedule the next appointment, the staff in the front didn't even look at me in the eye. They are all unmotivated, you can totally get from their vibe, that they do not want to even be there. They are not courteous towards patients at all. It is my observation that this staff, both back office and front office need to take a class in customer service. Yes, we are the patient, but we are also customers! This group has really good doctors, but because of their staff, and their unwelcoming attitude, might be losing some patients. read more

The waiting room is narrow and often crowded. This makes it hard to maneuver, especially with wheelchairs or walkers. That being said, this has nothing to do with the quality of service that I've received. I've been to the Hemet office 3x now and every time I've found the office staff to be kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. The wait to see the doctor is also not terribly long. Then, Dr. Mehta is very good. He's smart and I like how he interacts with me. He's respectful and truly seems concerned and interested in helping me feel better. He seems to understand that I hurt and wants to do all he knows to ease my suffering. I like him, trust his expertise, and look forward to seeing how he can help me going forward! read more

I live in the east unincorporated area of Riverside county and most of my doctors are in Temecula and Murrieta which are a 45 minute drive. It's a blessing to have a rheumatologist that is only 10 miles from my house and a double blessing that he and all his staff are so kind, thorough and efficient.
