What a great little hole in the wall. Came in for breakfast and the food lived up to the reviews. Ordered the Irish Benedict and a traditional omelette. The Benedict had corned beef, sauerkraut, a poached egg and hollandaise sauce all over an English muffin...times 2! Included a side of breakfast potatoes that were perfectly prepared and tastey. I enjoyed it 4 hours ago and am still stuffed! Not sure I'm a fan of eggs and kraut, but it has nothing to do with this place. The dish was expertly prepared and looked fabulous. This place was fabulous! They accommodated our very large group (28 people) with only a 30-minute notice. They were organized and on top of our needs. It's a small diner that is Covid Compliant but it is a great place to come and get amazing breakfast. I came in with my friend and we ordered the chicken and waffles and the corn beef and hash. Seasoned to perfection, simply exquisite and so was the staff so humble and so inviting you would think you were in your grandmothers kitchen. There's your basic three eggs, a choice of meat, home fries and toast at $5.99 but you also have novelties like chicken and waffles and the chorizo Benedict. We came on a Wednesday morning at 8am, and by 10am the place was nearly filled- it's definitely loved by locals and fellow food enthusiasts. The gyro hash and the chicken and waffles were my favorite bites of the morning. The hash comes with a garlicky creamy sauce that pairs wonderfully with the gyro meat, feta cheese, and fresh tomatoes. My only complaint? More of those home fries to line the bottom- otherwise the meat and toppings can overwhelm the palate. Topped with two poached eggs, great savory dish. The fried chicken on the waffles was well-seasoned and crispy although it could've benefited from perhaps using the chicken's dark meat, the sriracha gave a little hotness to the sweet syrup on the waffles. I could've done without the homemade syrup and gone with the pitchers on each table, but it was a good bite. For the chorizo Benedict, a spicy chorizo and a mild hollandaise sauce paired well together but I was thrown off by the pineapple used for sweetness, the chewiness of the English muffin and the slice of cheese. First time in Ohio so jumped on yelp to find a breakfast spot. This was 15 mins away from the hotel but i loved the pictures and reviews so we made the drive. Let me say that i am very happy we did! First off the service was top notch. Honestly decent service recently is hard to come by but this establishment goes above and beyond decent, they were awesome. Drinks were always refilled, they checked in often to make sure we had what we needed, made recommendations etc. We were all thoroughly impressed and left happy. Now onto the food which is what we all want to know about. Everything we had was delicious! I had the clevelander sandwich, which is corned beef, turkey with coleslaw on rye. It was HUGE and delicious. The fries were just okay, but who cares when the sandwich was that great. We also had the French toast with Nutella and peanut butter, omg it was the perfect amount of sweet and savory. Everyone loved it! Last thing we had was the veggie breakfast wrap, which is also very good according to the person in our party who had it. Hands down, this place lives up to their rating both with service and food. This place sure gets busy and sometimes you have to wait to get seated but it is totally worth it!! I would have to say that I am satisfied with the service and food! Majority of the places I've been to in Parma claim their hollandaise sauce is delicious but it just tastes like chicken broth thickened by flour which is definitely disappointing! But this place.. they make everything right after you order! The presentation is beautiful just like the flavor of this dish. I have also tried their gyro which is definitely delicious and feeling. The gyro is just like any gyro but they toss the lamb in the sauce so the taste is consistent with every bite. The only thing that is different from this gyro from other places is that you can taste the freshness of their vegetables and they don't use as much salt as other places. Before heading down to southern Ohio for Labor Day weekend, my dude and I decided to head out to this place he had been to before for good diner food. We got there just in the knick of time, because right after we were seated, there was a line almost out the door to be seated. It was a very tight maze getting to our booth in the corner by the window of this diner. Aside from feeling super cramped, the service was great, and the food was even better. I ordered the chorizo wrap with salsa, cheese and sour cream, while my better half got the chicken and waffles. They put this special sugary syrup on the waffles. It's not maple syrup, but almost like a sticky icing. It's to die for, and pairs so well with the savory chicken chunks. We also added a sunny side up egg to the dish, because of course, eggs should be on everything. We left the diner with a bill of around $20, adding coffee and a tip to the bill. I'm from the Philadelphia area and was heading home from Minnesota. In an attempt to get some "real food" as opposed to a service plaza fast food meal , I ventured off the Ohio Turnpike at Strongsville and located the Southside Diner about 4 miles away . Upon pulling into the parking lot , the tiny eatery appeared to be what I was looking for. I was directed by a friendly face to " sit anywhere ". I sat down and was pleasantly surprised at varied selection of the menu . Breakfast tacos , gyros and standard American fare all looked intriguing. The service was friendly and attentive , having my coffee cup refilled numerous times. My road dog had the eggs, biscuits and gravy , with a side of sausage and I had the corned beef hash , rye toast and a pancake on the side. I was full for the next seven hours on my ride home from the delicious meal . My only issue is that I live too far away to enjoy another meal anytime soon.
