We even called the golf shop during the round to ask about the pace, and were basically told there wasn't anything they could do about it. It seemed like the course was very understaffed -- one person was trying to run the golf shop while also cleaning carts, so there was really no one available to be out on the course helping manage pace. On top of that, the snack bar area was closed at around 2 PM, so there was no option to grab food or drinks during the round. The course itself is fine -- nothing terrible, but nothing special either. It's a pretty average muni layout. The bigger issue was everything around the golf itself. Basic things you expect at a course like pace management, food/drink availability, and overall staffing just weren't there, and it took away from the entire experience.

Water comes into play on a few holes and when the wind is howling like it was when I played this past Saturday course management is key. There are a grass driving range and a putting and chipping area. There is a beverage cart but due to Covid, there are no water stations on the course. Green fees are reasonable and there is a resident rate as well as some monthly and yearly sign up options. There are three must play Muni courses in Austin (IMO) Kizer, Clay, and Lions. If you have not played all three well then get your hack butts out there and swing baby!
