All the boarding changes you have made recently have absolutely, negatively affected me as a decades long A-list preferred client. I've flown millions of miles on Southwest for over 20 years with never a problem. It is now the worst f'ing airline I've ever been on. Changing carriers!

Do better Southwest. I paid extra to pick our window seat, and there is no window!!!!!!!

Southwest at Dallas Love Field is as good as it gets. The airport is spacious, the signage to get to your flight is amazing and the airport itself has lots of dining options (including Whataburger). The feel of the gate area is just more open and bright in comparison to a lot of other Southwest gates. And the southwest team is great about communicating the boarding process which is easy AF, but for some reason, people just don't get it. A is before B and C people!!! At least for now.

Trash airlines had to wait and hour for a crew member... trash airlines trash pilots trash all around

Just got my luggage back. It was damaged, looked like someone tried to claw their way in. Brand new suitcase checked at DAL without any damage. Called southwest and they told me to go back to STL to file a damaged bag report, even though it was declared damaged at DAL for some reason. They told me to go through a supervisor since the agent at STL told me they can't do it. So, we turned around and came back to this airport to talk to baggage claim support and they wouldn't file a report. The supervisor came and wouldn't do it for me. Now I'm left without a suitcase and no way to buy a new one. $50 voucher for Southwest won't get me a new suitcase back. Hope Southwest can get their stuff together!

It is exactly what you expect from Southwest. Not exceptional service. To get the better seats you pay $80 a piece, which we do because we want to sit by our carry ons. BUT flying into Dallas Love is a much better experience than DFW. Check out my Dallas Love review. Southwest has grumpy workers and unprofessional at the gate. I witnessed them talking to those around me. On the plane the service is professional and friendly.

Poring rain and everyone's luggage is getting wet and the bag handlers really don't care. The customers are getting screwed!
Mark J.

Baggage handlers are so lazy they throw the bags around, the have covers on the carts when it rains and they don't even use them. Sad group of employees! Carrie on when you fly!

When you're supposed to be departure in three minutes and you haven't even boarded

This corrupted airline steals your money, they lowered the size of suitcases allowed to fit, forcing you to have to check them, and they don't respect your time constantly delaying flights and not giving you any update on what's going on do not fly on this airline ever, unless you want to miss a flight, and like to waste your time just sitting around

Southwest Airlines is usually a hit or miss. My overall experience is that they're mostly hits. There have been a few flight delays, but not bad, which is why I've flown with them more than any other airline in the last few decades. And I'm thankful for Southwest on this last run. Party of three layover at DFW with American Airlines. Thing is that connecting flight was cancelled (due to weather, not their fault) and the next available flight wasn't until the next day. No way in h377 I was gonna spend my 50th birthday night at the airport. I looked up MSY flights via Southwest and boom: score! Made that DFW-DAL Uber run to get on that flight. Came through with time to spare. Weather delayed our flight an hour, but we still arrived at our destination with plenty of time to start celebrating the birthday week! Whatever we paid for the flights was worth it. So yeah: Southwest saved the day! And they remain my preferred choice for travel...

My mistake - I immediately changed my name with the supporting documents and it was changed in a few days in the app. It wasn't until a few weeks later when I checked in, I realized my name never updated so I tried calling AA and they said it airline had to handle it. So the day of my flight, I visited DFW with my marriage license, old and new passports and a smile and I was greeted by Michelle at the AA counter who at first was welcoming, then her mood changed when I asked for help with my name change. She replied with a "why did you check in if it wasn't correct?" I thought ... because I want to still check in on time and I was told I needed to see a desk agent., which I politely told her and informed her that I had all supporting documents. She informed me that she may not be able to get my same seat or a seat at all since she had to un-check me in, and I said that was okay, I just want to make sure everything is correct and connected. She didn't reply much after that, but I still proceeded to be very kind. I ended up with the same seat, same boarding position and the flight was in no way full. I had no other trouble, but her demeanor was a little much for something that ended up taking her 3 minutes to fix. Oh well!

They are currently in the process of fixing the issue. Our flight was expected to leave at 10:40. We got stuck on the plane in the heat for 30 minutes. Now we are waiting for the issue to be fixed in order to embark once again. Tentatively the airline stated that we should be boarding now but we still are awaiting. The staff on our flight were all nice and accommodating. They were also very hot and obviously have nothing to do with the issue. Hopefully this problem is fixed as soon as possible. We have a wedding to get to so hopefully everything isn't delayed any further. On July 1st our flight got delayed an entire 24 hours. We were issued a $12 food voucher and a hotel voucher that was actually a motel with a foul odor. The shower was disgusting as well. We ended up booking a different hotel out of pocket. We were told that our flight was re-scheduled for 11:15 am for July 2nd and that there shouldn't be any more issues. We were also told on July 1st that we can go down to baggage claim if we wanted our luggage and that it would be available in 30 minutes to an hour. Once we got downstairs they said our luggage was not available for another 30 minutes to 5 hours. The staff at American Airlines baggage claim were extremely rude and dismissive. We never ended up getting our luggage because they did not have an actual estimate of how long it would take. Day 2 of our flight being delayed. We arrived at the airport and it seemed like things were looking up. We get to the gate and are awaiting for everyone to be able to board. As we're waiting we're told once again today that our flight will be delayed 45 minutes now because the plane is having the same issues with the a/c not functioning. They also stated that it was a different plane, how can a totally different plane have the same issue occurring. It does not make any sense. Now the airline is saying that the plane is out of service. They stated that the plane is coming from the hangar and it will take 30 minutes. Out of no where they say that we have to go from Gate D33 to Gate D65. Now they are saying that we have to wait 6 hours for our new flight with a new plane. So instead of our 24 hour delayed flight leaving at 11:15 am, we are now scheduled to leave at 6:00 pm according to the updates we have received. I am extremely disappointed and do not ever want to fly with American Airlines again. We are flying to China for a wedding and have had to cancel multiple reservations that were made in advance and it's also looking like we are not going to make the wedding. This is absurd and has affected all of us traveling emotionally and physically.

You could order adult beverages if you want for a charge. The ride was smooth and seats comfortable. I didn't use the restroom but many people did. The bus only seats 22 people so it was super quiet. They ask that you speak in library voice. I don't think I will ever drive again. We were dropped off at the Doubletree at Love Field (DAL) and I took an uber to pick up a rental. Upon return, I had the same great experience. I was early and the bus was a little late but they sent a message. We made it back in good time regardless. Amanda and Avery were our attendants. Thus why am I flying spirit? My wife has a business meeting out here and her company put her on Delta with a $500 plus ticket. Spirit on the other hand, has a near identical flight itinerary that costs $170! United airlines was over 600 for a similar flight. Under these circumstances I'm going to bite the bullet, put a paper bag over my head with eye holes, poked out and fly spirit. I used to think spirit was a healthy cut below Southwest. And I detest and refuse flying Southwest. Why is that? The last time I flew spirit was LAX into Florida, at check-in. I had the most annoying counter staff in LAX. I mumbled and silently thought that never again, never ever ever will I fly spirit. Well, when I'm looking at over 600 bucks and getting close to 70% of a discount, then I'll try this spirit. Hold my breath and just suck it up while saving. Just under 450 bucks or a ton. I was careful too change everything from my usual baggage into something that qualifies for free Carry-on . I think it has to be 18 in by 14 by 8 in. My bag is a little bit smaller than that. I was careful this time to read the guidelines for how to fly spirit. I checked in online and printed my boarding pass with a redundant email copy of my boarding pass. Printing a boarding pass at the airport Might cost $25! So I found my experience at LAX check in, all the way through arrival and exit from DFW to have been surprisingly smooth. All of the spirits staff encountered were reasonably polite and efficient. The waiting area and my seat on the aircraft were clean and in good condition. What's not to like? There was no choice of seat location at my price level. No Roller aboard baggage without paying a fee. Shocking to me was even getting water on the aircraft in flight costs money! Fortunately being suspicious I brought an empty water bottle that I refilled on the inside past TSA. So I had water. What's not to like further ? I had a middle seat and something like row 28. Not the best and probably functionally one of the worst seats. The back of the seat was scalloped away with no entertainment system, no large fold down tray to work with or place beverages, food or whatever? On my right the window seat had a really overweight person, on the aisle seat to my left was kind of a normal guy who really kept to himself. Shockingly, I didn't have problems with either encroaching over the armrest invading my space. I was respectful of their space as well, no contact at the knees.. I found that I could extend my legs under the seat ahead of me. But I found I could not recline! So the seats were as unitarian and basic with actually just enough soft give and fabric to be okay. To be sure United seats are superior even in basic coach. I usually have premier Plus, and every now and then business class or Polaris. Spirit was not exactly the most comfortable, but it was actually a very acceptable experience. So why did I bestow four stars? In spite of all these points of weakness, the huge kicker was 70% savings on the price for solidly competent service, granted it's barely tolerable... But I am so impressed with 70% savings! It just floors me to save this much, which is really hard to get with United... Or any other full service major airline. So will I fly Spirit again? I guess I have to confess that it depends on the price differential. I am quite willing to pay 20% more to fly United. But I am not willing to pay 250% more versus another airline like spirit. Four stars with all of them essentially awarded for dominating on price!

Terrible customer service and misleading insurance process…read more I specifically purchased travel insurance that advertised the ability to cancel for any reason with an 80% reimbursement. I called on Tuesday regarding a flight scheduled for Friday. The live agent told me I had to cancel at least 24 hours before departure to qualify. Based on that, I was instructed to call back Thursday to process the refund. When I called back on Thursday, I was informed that I would only be eligible for a reservation credit, not a refund. This directly contradicted what I was previously told. I requested that they review or pull the recorded calls where I confirmed eligibility, but my concern was not addressed. The inconsistent information and lack of accountability made the process frustrating and misleading. This makes me afraid to use Spirit Airlines for traveling. Buyers should be very cautious and confirm all refund and insurance terms in writing before purchasing.

From making the reservation to collecting my baggage upon arrival, every stage of the journey was handled efficiently and with a strong focus on passenger convenience. The trip started with a booking process that was simple, flexible, and designed to make travel planning straightforward. A variety of fare options, seating choices, and travel preferences were available, allowing passengers to customize their itinerary according to their needs. Flight schedules, passenger details, and seat selections could be completed quickly through an easy-to-use reservation system. Instant confirmation provided immediate access to all important travel information, ensuring everything was arranged well before departure. I booked my ticket online several days before the flight. The website was user-friendly and clearly displayed essential information, including flight timings, fare details, baggage policies, and seat selection options. The payment process was secure and completed without difficulty, and the booking confirmation arrived promptly, providing reassurance that all travel arrangements had been successfully finalized. On the day of departure, I completed online check-in in advance, which helped save time at the airport. The airport staff were courteous, professional, and efficient while assisting passengers. Check-in and boarding procedures were handled smoothly, with clear announcements and well-managed passenger flow. The flight departed on schedule, contributing to a stress-free start to the journey. Once onboard, the aircraft cabin was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The seating provided adequate comfort, and the cabin atmosphere remained calm and pleasant throughout the flight. The cabin crew demonstrated professionalism and attentiveness, responding promptly to passenger requests and ensuring a comfortable travel experience from takeoff to landing. Inflight services were delivered efficiently and on time. Meals and beverages were served as expected, and the overall quality was satisfactory. Safety demonstrations were conducted clearly before departure, and the crew consistently ensured that all safety procedures were followed. Their friendly communication and willingness to assist created a welcoming environment throughout the journey. The arrival experience was equally smooth and well coordinated. The aircraft landed comfortably, and passengers were able to disembark in an organized manner. Baggage delivery was efficient, and my luggage arrived promptly and in good condition, allowing me to continue my plans without unnecessary delays. The positive experience continued through the final stages of travel, with services designed to maximize convenience after arrival. Efficient baggage handling and organized airport procedures helped create a seamless transition from the aircraft to the destination. From the initial reservation process to the completion of the journey, every aspect of the travel experience reflected reliability, comfort, and thoughtful customer service. Overall, the trip was enjoyable, convenient, and professionally managed. Although there may be opportunities for minor enhancements, such as additional entertainment selections or a wider variety of meal options, the overall quality of service met expectations. Based on this experience, I would be happy to consider traveling with this airline again in the future.

The booking process was simple and only took a few minutes. Everything from baggage policies to seat selection was clearly explained, and I received my confirmation almost immediately. Checking in online the night before made things even easier, allowing me to head straight to baggage drop when I arrived at the airport. ## *A Calm Start Before Sunrise* Since my flight departed before sunrise, the airport had a completely different atmosphere compared to the usual daytime rush. It was surprisingly peaceful, and although there were plenty of travelers, everything felt quieter and more relaxed. The check-in staff were cheerful despite the early hour, and boarding started exactly when announced. Passengers boarded efficiently, and within a short time we were taxiing toward the runway. ## *A View I'll Never Forget* Just a few minutes after takeoff, the aircraft climbed above the clouds, and the sun slowly started appearing on the horizon. The sky changed from deep blue to shades of orange, pink, and gold within minutes. Almost everyone sitting near the windows quietly looked outside, and even the cabin crew smiled as they noticed passengers taking photos. It turned out to be one of the most beautiful sunrises I've ever seen. I actually forgot about my phone for a while and simply enjoyed the view. The flight itself remained smooth, the cabin was clean, and the crew continued providing friendly service throughout the journey. Refreshments were served on time, and the captain pointed out the clear weather conditions as we continued toward our destination. ## *A Journey I'll Remember for More Than Just the Destination* We landed right on schedule, and baggage collection was completed without any problems. While my trip itself was enjoyable, the flight unexpectedly became one of my favorite parts of the entire experience. Sometimes it's not the biggest things that make a journey memorable. A peaceful airport, a comfortable flight, genuinely friendly staff, and watching the sunrise from above the clouds turned an ordinary trip into one I'll remember for a very long time. I'd happily choose an early morning flight with this airline again.
