I called Southwest Trophy & Awards a few days in advance to give them a heads up in case we needed them. They asked to have all the information in advance so they can create within a short timeframe. The day of, I realized I didn't need their services, but they were ready if I did and were so gracious when I informed them that their services were not needed that day. Happy to give this fabulous local business 5 stars! I called them in a panic after a plaque I ordered online still hadn't arrived and they assured me that they could get the job done the same day. I interacted with a few staff there and they were all extremely helpful and friendly and went the extra mile. I needed a thin metal plaque engraved with a long message to attach to a leather photo holder. I was asked about the metal, font and sizing and they made excellent recommendations instead of just churning it out without any thought. They quickly got the job done and also helped me attach it to the photo holder which I thought I'd still have to figure out on my own. We needed 4 plaques and 9 gold name plates for frames in less than two days time. They got it done in less than 24 hours!! Shelly, Gina and Gabriel were amazing all the way through the whole process, they made us feel so great and comfortable and understood exactly what we needed. We placed the order on Thursday at 4PM and they were ready by Friday at 11AM. We will be coming back for all our plaques and trophy needs. Slow and careless and rude. We had friend's a marathon finisher's medal engraved there. They said it would take two weeks. When we tried to pick it up, they said one more week (3 weeks). Same thing happened the next time (4 weeks). On week 5, they called us and asked if we planned to pick it up because they hadn't gotten around to it yet. When we finally did get the medal, they had engraved the wrong name on it. We checked the form for the engraving; the form was correct. The engraver was just careless. This is the topper - they said, "Well, maybe we won't charge you then." Maybe? It took them 5 weeks and then they ruined his marathon medal. And they think MAYBE they shouldn't charge us? Go to RC Awards on University instead. They fixed the Southwest Trophy screw up and completed the medal in a matter of days. read more

Careless and astonishingly rude, for sure. The manager (owner?) of this store acts as if she hates her job. I was taken aback by the way she treated her coworkers and by some of the things that she said to me. After I asked politely to browse the catalogue she looked bewildered and offended, uttering "Okaaaaayyy" (as if my request was somehow completely unusual) before leaving me alone with no help for about 15 minutes. She walked back into the room and asked, "Are you ready yet?". When I asked if there was any kind of discount for schools she snapped, "The price is already pretty low... You can try the internet but GOOD LUCK WITH THAT". But was most shocked when she asked, "This is a private school right? And you can't afford $130?". And after I defended my school's tight budget, tuition assistance and demographics she continued asking, "The parents pay tuition right?" like she heard nothing I said. I really felt like I was getting Punk'd, but no such luck. Holy Moly what a complete bee eye tea see h. Needless to say I cancelled my order. Our school has been getting graduation awards here for years and the service has, in the past, been really personable and accommodating to our needs. This must be a new owner. We'll take our $130 elsewhere. read more

This place proves that good old fashioned customer service is alive and well. We have them do a few items for us (both of which turned out beautifully), and forgot to ask if they were going to be closed on a holiday; it wasn't a national one, but a significant one enough to close business for, and we went to pick up the trophy, and the place was closed. So, we panicked because the awards were for an event that evening. We got a hold of Gina, who made a special trip in to give us the items, and she was so kind and accommodating, and we felt horrible and she just took the best care of us. There are just no words to convey the level of customer service Gina provided, and we are forever their customers because of that event, and because they are fast, their prices are very reasonable and they embody everything that is great about doing business with someone. read more

I work in a large agency across the street from this business and we need engraving done on a more than average basis. I have used Southwest Trophy 3 times in the past several months and have been very happy with both the service and the results. Shelly has been helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and makes good suggestions when I have trouble making up my mind on either the award type or the inscription. She lets me know circumstances impacting when the order will be ready (closed for a holiday, busy season, etc) and things have been ready when promised. They have a great selection of awards--it's hard to make up my mind, which is why Shelley's suggestions are welcomed. I have used Southwest since 2009, the service has always been great. There have been times when we had last minute items that we really needed. They gave us a military discount which we needed as we are a small student veteran organization. We appreciate all the help and quality service. I have seen when customers are upset and the management has handled it in a very professional manner. I don't know if the other replies are to send customers to other places but if you want great quality and helpful staff, this is the place. read more

I would for relatively small school and help organize a a relatively small sports league. For several years, I did use Southwest Trophies, but in the last couple years, they never had my trophies ready when they promised .... and I often had to wait 2 or 3 additional days. When I said something to the manager, she told me that many of their clients are big leagues and that "my orders were too small to be top priority to get done". I was rather shocked that they were so upfront why they could not get my trophies orders done on time ..... I politely told them that they had lost my business forever. This trophies business does not seem to care much about the little guy when is comes to customer service. I ended up finding another Trophy Place near by on University Ave. that treats ALL their costumers like kings ..... and their prices are much better too. read more

The coolest trophy and engraving shape ever! Shelley and Gina and Gabriel are the best! I got a Table stand plexiglass heart engraved for my 94 yr old gramma and they did such a beautiful job with the design and font engraving.
