Overall a good experience. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The doctor was informative and professional. I enjoy her sense of humor. She remembered me from my last visit 3 years ago including the details of my case. The downside was periods of waiting were too long. read more

First time here and last! This is the worst Eye Center ever!! The eye exam and Dr. Bluth were fine. But when I went to check out I was charged $137.00. When I told them I had vision insurance and a zero copay they said they couldn't do the medical and vision on the same day. I was like what medical? All I wanted was to have my eyes checked to renew my prescription and to tell you the truth I couldn't tell the difference between what they did and what my old eye doctor in Texas did. Then I tried to call with questions regarding my prescription and that was a joke. I called 4 days in a row and tried using the automated system to have them call me back. They never call back. So I waited on hold for 20 minutes several days in a row. No one ever answers the phone!!. Ever! I left 4 messages with the optical center thinking I could just get my rx from them, they never called me back either. This is absolutely unacceptable. All I want is to get my prescription. I guess I have to drive down there in order to get. I will find a new eye doctor. One who answers the phone and calls me back. I've never had such bad service in all my life. If I could leave zero stars I would. I don't usually give bad reviews but this really aggravates me! read more

This review applies to the optical department. Today, I went in for a new pair of eyeglasses. I walked in and was Covid-19 screened, and then was told to take a seat in the hallway - that I was next. Shortly after I sat down, some old man comes barreling his way through, opens the door and proceeds to be "next" - even though I was clearly sitting there first! The lady that did the screening tried to stop him, but he just ignored her and went on it. I thought, well, I'll just wait, maybe it won't be long. A few minutes turned into 30. So I got on the phone and tried to schedule an "appointment" but apparently, they don't make appointments at the Apache Junction location. I asked for a supervisor and she came out and I explained to her what happened, and she acted like she really didn't care, instead, she made excuses for the rude old man... said "well he didn't know you were next" and my response was, well he didn't ask either. I mean, there were just the two of us in the hall waiting. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who's next! So my advice to you is this - if you want a professional, caring atmosphere, do yourself a favor and avoid this place! read more

I called and made appointments for my husband and I over a month ago. I got a call this afternoon, 2 days before our appointments, stating I had to get a referral from my primary doctor. They said this was because they do a "medical eye exam" first and would need my insurance to cover that, and then do the exam for our glasses. When ask what a "medical eye exam" was I would told it was test that had always been included in the eye exam before. So I guess that they need to be able to bill medicare in addition to our optical insurance. They also said that if we wanted this done on the same day it would be an additional $52 in addition to the $35 co-pay for a specialist. So instead of being -0- copay as usual it is now $87 plus what they will bill insurance. I feel this is not a good practice, so will cancel the appointments and never to back. This review is for the Optical Department. Don't go here if you expect you may do a return of any kind because you are warned it will take 6-8 weeks to get a refund! And they also warn you that they "don't know HOW long it will take you to get your benefits back"! My returns were due to sunglasses being made wrong because they entered the prescription wrong. She had them remade and in the process of remaking my eye glasses they chipped and scratched the lenses. I returned both pairs because after 5 weeks I had yet to even wear 2 pairs of glasses with the same prescription! I have been waiting 4 weeks for my refund now. Only 4 more weeks to go! Also, they don't return inquiry messages. Terrible service in this digital age. read more

I went in for my yearly eye exam and I was told that in needed to make two appointments to get it done. One for dilation and one for fitting. This has never happened in all the years I have been going there. They always did the fitting first then dilated me afterwards all in the same appointment. Great, now I have to take two days off work to get this done. Do you really need the co-pay that bad? Maybe I need a new optometrist. read more

Not very professional ! Never made it to the Eye Center because their Call center and appointment people do not Know OR Care what they are doing ! I went round and round being transferred to five different people in circles in the morning before I had a referral from my doctor and then decided there is no way im going there ! but after the doctor referred me i gave it another shot . I was on hold for HOURS ! They put me on hold and after almost running out of cell phone battery it would hang up ? then they would call me hours later with a different lady giving me different information ! To go to a Different location other than where they told to go to all day ? And the lady on the phone could give a rats ass LESS ! No Thanks ! if this is what i get before i pay them imagine after they charge my card ?? read more

I went there to get a check up, they wrote me a prescription for new glasses, when I got home I checked my old prescription and it was the same. I have never worn the new glasses, my old ones feel better, look better, and I see better. When I left the office, my balance due was $0, but now I am getting billed for $52 which I feel I do not owe. I just sent my husband down to give them back there glasses which do not need or want. I may have to pay the $52 just to keep it off my credit report, but not before I let people know this is a ripoff. read more

Dr. Sherlock orders tests and after finding out my insurance either won't pay for them or doesn't pay enough for them denies ordering them. As far as I can tell she is either incompetent or scamming the system. Either way I place absolutely no trust in her. read more

I strongly DO NOT recommend this business. The first pair of glasses was incorrect, so they sent me back for a second exam and a new pair was ordered. When those came back they were also incorrect and unusable. When I complained I was met with a stonewall attitude. I gave back the second set of glasses and requested a refund. Their response was to then charge my debit card for the second exam, a direct contradiction to their publish policy. I wrote Dr. Sherlock and asked for her help. Thus far only $173.25 of $335 charges have been refunded. Luckily, other charges, which were made on a major credit card, were successfully disputed. read more
