Hands-down, this could be one of the best lunches I've had in a really long time. To end off a really busy work week I was able to sneak out of my office for a quick bite. With that said, I was really pressed for time and my husband and I stopped here and I am glad that we did. We both ordered gyros with french fries, but these aren't regular french fries these are the perfect french fries. They're crunchy on the outside and like a warm mashed potato on the inside - just like I would have gotten at authentic Greek family owned diner in New York. If you did not grow up in New York that reference is hard to understand but just know that these are the perfect french fries. I got a souvlaki chicken Gyro which I'm not sure why I don't eat more often but I am definitely sure that this was the best one I've eaten. But let's talk about the cookies. I don't remember what they are called because there is a Greek name for them but the almond cookies with all the powdered sugar on the outside are amazing. Like life-changing, I don't even care that I worked out for an hour this morning amazing. The woman who helped with our order was so incredibly sweet and her smile was cheerful. in a world flooded with grumpy people and masks, seeing her cheery smile was a big deal. It's been a long week and we needed that positive vibe! she overheard me talking about how good the baklava looks and how I was hesitating because I already ordered so much. She gifted me a slice. The FOOD is terrible. Yesterday I ordered the Gyro Platter the food was terrible and almost nonexistent. Big piece of very thick pita with almost no gyro meat and barely any vegetables folded so small it could be a hot dog. No sauce on the side. This was a shock to me. This was my favorite restaurant Souvlaki Time bought it and changed the name, the standard and the food. I do not recommend and will not buy from here anymore. The 1 star is for the freezer fries. Gyro wrap was great. Sooo much meat! Loved every bite. I like my veggies, so I would've enjoyed more lettuce and tomatoes. I have to remind myself that on Tues and Fri, they are only $5.55 each. We can grab one for movie night. This location was nicely laid out. However, around 2 on a Sunday, some tables needed to be wiped off though. I've been there many times the food has always been good today November 2nd 2024 I went with some friends for lunch I ordered a falafel wrap, the chickpeas with two gritty they weren't cooked enough to falafel balls weren't cooked enough so I changed it for chicken with rice and a salad the chicken was so salty next time I go there I'll just order a can of nine lives a can of cat food would have tasted better no recommendation for this place at all I'm giving it one star that's probably too much. read more

Though the pita wrap was big, the dough was on the puffy side, the "lamb" version lacked distinct lamb flavour in the pressed meat but was overly salty, and the Tzatziki which I ordered on the side was grainy (!) and completely lacked garlic. Ahhh who doesn't love a good big juicy gyro?! I do! And this is the right place for it! They have different specials on other days but on Fridays they have Beef+Lamb or chicken gyro for only $5.55... such a good deal to start the weekend! I ordered takeout (which i highly recommend) because they get busy and it is a small establishment with a only few tables. Their gyros will fill you up! Tried this place for the first time and it was pretty good. The tzatziki sauce is excellent. The gyro sandwich was good just a little too salty for my taste. Also the feta French fries were soggy. I would definitely try it again and ask them to not make it so salty, unless it was just a bad night. read more

Very tasty gyro! The staff were really friendly. We also got a cup of stupidly tasty tropical punch from the soda machine.

The food was very good. I had the falafel pita. No complaints about the food. My reason for the 3 stars and why I'm in no rush to go back is that everything is packed in styrofoam, even for eating in. Also, it's served with pre-packaged single use plastic utensils. Terrible I was in there a while ago I purchased several meals there they had a special w a half ck. I picked up my order we went back to my hotel and it was a drum stick and and cut up pieces this was not a half ck no breast etc so I called and complained I was told the manager would call me back never happened so I called and complained finally spoke to her I was informed this was what they sell . I told her this is not a half a ck. I was basically told too bad. It was way over seasoned and looked like it was sitting there. I really enjoyed my experience here. This is a great little place to grab a quality meal. I am always on the lookout for places like this and wish I lived closer. Service was quick and efficient. After I ordered the wait was minimal and the food was amazing. I had the gyro combo and the flavor was tremendously good. Everything tasted fresh and was portioned well. We are new to the area but we love this place! We love Mediterranean food and this place is so good! They are always friendly and have gotten our order right every time. The lamb/beef is amazing! Nice family run shop. People are friendly and you have to like any place that has baklava. Got the gyro platters, sides of feta (Greek) fries and dolmades. Quick, substantial, tasty. I don't even know where to start. My husband saw this place from across the street while we were driving. I'm absolutely in love with their homemade tzatziki sauce. I ordered Greek salad with chicken souvlaki. Chicken was perfectly seasoned and melts in your mouth. I like that salad was cut to a bite size and you didn't have to fight lettuce while eating. My husband enjoyed his gyro plate. There are few tables available if you want to sit outside. There is also a soda machine that lets you choose what you want to drink. Find time for someplace else. A greasy spoon dive with a Greek theme. Souvlaki has little taste and is quite dry. Hummus tastes like glue and the salad is mostly useless Iceberg. I used to come to this Souvlaki Fast all the time when I worked in the area and it used to be amazing. However, times have changed. Today, I walked into Souvlaki Fast to order takeout and the older woman (mid-40s) behind the counter was taking an order, which usually poses no problem. The order took about five minutes. After she got off the phone she did not acknowledge me or say "I'll be right with you." Rather, she huffed and puffed and folded a large receipt, which I assume was a large order she just took on the phone. When she finally got around to taking my order, she lacked all customer service skills and essentially was like "what do you want?" I asked to upgrade to a bottle of water that I didn't get that but whatever I let it go because I know the food is generally really good. I get that it's a pandemic but customer service is still alive and well. I got a chicken Souvlaki pita with a side Greek salad, and an side hummus. The chicken chunks were the size of my fist, the chicken was cold, and the hummus tasted like it nothing. Also generally when you order hummus it comes with pita, the person at the counter did not tell me side order of hummus would not. I gave a 2 stars because The younger woman working behind the counter was very nice and the Greek salad was really good. read more

So the place might not look terribly impressive but the food is good, is flavorful and the portions are a good size. I have always left full after having the Gyro Platter with sweet potato fries. The service is pretty quick and they're friendly for the most part. The cashier can be a little impatient with new people but she's just trying to get everyone's orders into the system. The keep the place pretty clean, so that's a plus. We have lunch here about once a month, at least. Parking can be a pain, as the location only has one entrance/exit on has a small parking lot with some additional spaces on the side and rear. read more

I just found out about this awesome little place yesterday. How did I find them? Yelp of course! Amazingly I have worked down the road from Souvlaki Fast for five years & I had no clue this place even existed. Once again Yelp helped me find an affordable place that I must admit I loved more than I expected I would. Eugenia gave me extremely detailed directions when I called. She gave me landmarks & was very helpful. They are on the NE corner of Spanish River & Federal Hwy, next to the Bank of America. With Eugenia's directions I found it without a problem. This is basically a takeout place with probably about five large tables. The tables are long (almost like picnic style-just not wood) so people can sit comfortably if they decide to eat inside. One thing I didn't care for was the interior lighting. It was bright! I walked in wearing my sunglasses & that was the first thing that I noticed. Oh well, if that is the worst thing I have to say about this place, then be it. You place your order at the counter & the menu board is on the wall between the front door & the counter. The menu covers your basic Greek favorites. Gyros, souvlaki platters, spinach pie, pita wraps, falefel, hummus, greek fries, rice, salads & I'm sure a few other items I can't think of. I noticed Dr. Browns soda in the refrigerated case for those of you who enjoy this classic soda. For the gyros they have the traditional lamb/beef that they slice vertically in thin shavings as well as chicken that they slice the same way. If you are ordering chicken as your protein they also have white meat chicken that is in nice sized chunks that are marinated, skewered and grilled. They also prepare the rib-eye the same way in that delicious marinade. Yummy! I was bringing dinner to a friends house and we wanted salads. I ordered two Caesar's, one with grilled chicken & the other with the grilled rib-eye steak. I asked Eugenia to place the chicken & steak in separate containers. Just one of my many quirks, I hate hot food on a cold salad. The salads were incredibly fresh & the Caesar dressing was good. I had the rib-eye & it was soft & delicious. The marinade was not overpowering at all & the flavor was scrumptious. I tasted hints of lemon, garlic and I have no idea what else was in the marinade but it was delicious. I tasted a piece of my friends chicken & it was also remarkably good. The counter service was great, the food was exceptionally good & the prices were more than fair. For a takeout place, Souvlaki Fast does it right. read more

Souvlaki Fast has two locations BUT different owners. I drive towards Mizner Park from Yamato and took notice of this place on the left side of the road; I thought the name was a play on "Some Like it Hot" ("some like it fast" heh.) The exterior of the building is basic with a few tables outside. The interior is small with about 5-6 tables, very clean and neat. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, offering "meal combos" and assistance when choosing between dishes. I ordered the lamb/beef gyro pita, which was topped with tzatziki and Greek dressing - the portions were HUGE! The smell of the delicious meats were mixing with the aromatic warm pita bread, practically making me drool as I brought the platter to my table. You get different sides to choose from and I chose my favorite: french fries. They came out HOT, golden and a little crispy on the outside - perfection. I ordered a fountain drink and chose the unsweetened iced tea, which was really tasty. It wasn't weak or have an overpowering brewed taste, the tea was balanced and refreshing. Considering I've only tried the gyro, that's what my review is based on (plus the service) and I highly recommend Souvlaki Fast for a great lunch. read more
