My favorite Greek restaurant!!!! The food is delicious, the service is great and the staff is friendly. My wife had a Greek salad with chicken and there was too much to finish. I had the Pork Chop Oreganato with Greek potato and green beans. The pork chop was juicy and flavorful. Delicious!!! For desert we split an "Ekmek." A custard desert with coconut and cream. I would eat another!!!! All in all I highly recommend Rafina so much that I travel From Pembroke Pines to get there. read more

Oh my goodness. I just ordered the kebab chicken and it was so good. I have plenty for tomorrow, which is why I ordered it because it was kinda a little expensive but I knew I would get two meals out of it so I went ahead and ordered it for dinner for myself tonight and lunch or dinner for tomorrow it is so tasty. The peppers are so char grilled perfectly. The chicken was perfect. It wasn't under or overcooked. It was really good and it was from DoorDash so can you imagine if you went in person how awesome it would be I would highly recommend this restaurant I go there all the time. It's close to my house and I am like a regular there. It's on the lake. It's beautiful atmosphere everybody that works. There is so nice. We were promptly seated on the patio overlooking the lake. We immediately received pita bread with a sauce of red peppers & feta cheese, mild, delicious & Very flavorful. Our waiter. J.P. gave us first rate service rattling off Greek dishes and descriptions as if he came from the homeland. . I enjoyed my Beef Kabobs. Tender chunks of marinated beef with assorted veggies The Salmon was outstanding cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. The Spinach Pie was slightly overcooked but the creamy texture and flavors made it a winner. The Shrimp with Orzo was flavorful, the tomato sauce with Greek spices truly made this dish authentic. The service was very good but a few of the 4 meals we ordered were a little subpar. The chicken kabob was very good and a great portion but the rafina shrimp was very bad. What a nice restaurant. This is the second time we came here and it was so delicious. Mario was our server and he was attentive, efficient, and friendly. Complimentary humus and pita bread were placed on the table as soon as we sat down. We ordered lentil soup and a small Greek salad . The soup and salad were so good and just enough while we waited for our entrees. The lamb chops were tender, juicy and perfectly cooked. The potatoes were very good, but a bit salty. My baked eggplant and risotto were baked just right and were flavorful. Since it was a nice night, we decided to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view along the water. The only excellent aspect of this evening was our waiter who could not have been nicer. We also made a mistake by opting to eat inside. Our table was dark and the noise level quite loud. But the deal breaker was the food. My shrimp santorini consisted of about a half dozen small shrimp and a red sauce over rice. Nice lunch spot. Very airy feel with options of inside or outside. Outside is covered, so you can actually use it most of the year. Lunch menu on the weekend provides a great value. The food is tasty and the portions are huge. Can't go wrong with a gyro which is what I had. I was hungry going in and could only finish half of it. Service was friendly and very attentive to detail. We were taken very good care of the entire meal. When we needed things to move they did and when we wanted to chill and talk, we were left alone. The place was not crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Had dinner here earlier this week. I went with the Rafina Salad which was tasty; romaine, tiny chopped red peppers, corn, rice, quinoa, feta, cranberries, almonds and grilled chicken. Very tasty. I thought the champagne vinaigrette was a bit heavy on the mustard flavor, but co-diner thought it was fine. Chicken Kabob was largest portion I've ever seen of a Chicken kabob - enough for two kids. Zucchini chips tasty as well. They offer gyro meat as a topping for the salads - not sure why gyro wraps aren't on the dinner menu. read more

Had a belated anniversary dinner with my immediate family. Had reservations so we were seated promptly. We ordered wines and hummus and charbroiled octopus as appetizers. All the reviews were correct! It's the best I ever tasted and ordered another appetizer and mussels as a meal. Everyone enjoyed their meals and our server was fantastic though I can't recall his name. He even took a table photo. Did I mention it is situated on a nice lake with fountains?! The din of a busy establishment during the evening hours on a Friday night is disconcerting enough without the augmentation by a quartet of toddlers whose family fail to have the common sense to keep them from said surroundings until they are able to comport themselves properly. Four friends looking forward to the usually excellent Greek fare provided here were at a loss for comfort and relief from the raucous vocalizing winging its way across the room. Management apparently found no recourse in ameliorating this issue and simply shrugged shoulders when we brought this matter to their attention upon our leaving. Perhaps the consideration of an age requirement for seating minors is in order there. The plan, next time, is to exit upon another such encounter. read more

Raffina might be one of the worst Greek restaurant I've been to with just about every item I tried being low quality cafeteria like food that lacked the freshness and vibrant flavors of Greek cuisine. Maybe we should have left after appetizers because the Spinach Pie was greasy and seemed like it was prepared way in advance and the basic dips lacked depth and even the accompanying Pita Bread was dull. A main course Shrimp item looked almost good but had that disagreeble texture from being frozen and we couldn't eat them. Orzo is pretty difficult to mess up and it's such a basic staple but here it was just soggy mush and was the worst orzo I've ever had. Roasted stuffed chicken was tough to cut and after a few attempts I just gave up. I've been to Rafina during Covid and vaguely remember I didn't like it but that was awhile ago and figured I would give it another try since I was out west but it proved to be a mistake. read more

this restaurant is efficiently designed clean and comfortable with lots of seating space and outdoor seating with the water view a lovely place to come for the afternoon or evening cocktail. We were there for lunch to celebrate a birthday. The place was pretty much empty on a Saturday afternoon at about 1:30 PM and of course since it's off-season that's to be expected. The weight staff was friendly and accommodating and eager to help us with our meal. we started with the spinach pie appetizer, and I must say it was one of the best spinach pies I've ever tasted. The crust was flaky and crisp, or the spinach was tender and full of flavor. I ordered the Gyro plate which came with sautéed string beans and slices of Gyro with a few lamb chops and baked potato. The Gyro was deliciously seasoned, perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed it. There was far too much for one person and will make a welcome second meal tomorrow for lunch. we spent $120 with tip for lunch for three people at that price. What a great find and thanks to Yelp for helping me make this decision. Reservations were needed but there was not a problem in getting the time and date we wanted. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and brought to our table. Our server was there immediately to get our drink order and his recommendations for food. Served with a very thick and delicious tomato sauce. -Saganaki-OPA!! Flamed and VERY delicious!! A 'Must' in my opinion for a Greek App! -Dolmades-Delicious, not too firm and served in a tasty oil! All portions were perfect for an appetizer. Huge portion Entrees: -Lamb Shank, Large Lamb Shank cooked to perfection and see over a bowl of orzo in a delicious sauce. -Salmon- Nice large piece of Salmon, cooked perfectly and served with the offered delicious scampi sauce. -Grilled Lamb Chops. The menu states the choice of either 3 or 6 chops. Actually, there are 2 chops per the 1 chop stated on the menu, so in actuality, we had 6! Friends who absolutely love Rafina have been recommending. It to me for years. It was their "go to" restaurant during covid, as they have a nice outdoor seating area and our friends loved to sit there, enjoy the breeze (if there was one, as opposed to oppressive heat and humidity), and look at the man-made body of water. We arrived around 4:42, had a reservation, and requested a table inside, as it was too oppressively hot outside. The hostess showed us to a table right near the bar, while we requested a table in the back, in a corner. At first she remarked "you can't sit there, that's for larger parties", to which our friends replied " it's a 4 top, and we are 4", and I added "just go there, it doesn't make any sense". By the way, Rafina was empty at that time. Sort of a weird introduction, right? Our friends recognized a waiter who had served them and their larger group earlier in the week, and were pleased that he would be our server. And as the meal progressed, I was pleased that WALTER was our server. He was patient, had a Melli and pleasing personality, and did everything to cater to our needs,!even before we asked for things. He refreshed water, brought more pita bread and delicious spread, extra paper napkins, and was genuinely engaged. Ask for him when you arrive and you'll surely be pleased. We ordered a host of plates off the Happy Hour Menu after we ordered alcoholic drinks. Our friend ordered a New Amsterdam, which is a gin martini, I guess if their relatively inexpensive house gin. My husband and I ordered vodka martinis, which were named Deep Eddy. Deep Eddy is a gluten free vodka distilled in Buda, TX, and the name is inspired from the oldest swimming hole in Austin TX. It was a smooth vodka,!/"and I was able to eat more gluten in my food as there was none in the vodka! The drinks were priced at $8, and made as requested - extra chilled, shaken well with ice slivers. Oh, the stuffed olives in the drinks were good! Our food included small Greek salads ($6)with add-ons of chicken and shrimp, each priced at an additional $6. Chicken Empanada at $7.95!was quite tasty. A spinach pie at $6.50 was so large that my friend was not able to finish and requested to take home. A bifteki at $7.50 was delicious - it is feta stuffed beef patties. There were two good sized ones and my friend couldn't finish it. I offered to help and happily ate it! And a Melititzanosalata was really good - - it is an eggplant dip. We all appreciated and enjoyed the plates we ordered. The food was served hot. And extra pita bread was brought upon request. Perhaps our friends struggle with finishing their plates is attributable to eating so much of the yummy eggplant. While I found the interior setup of Rafina to lack any sense of aesthetics, and it was odd that it was situated in some type of mini mall, the food and service and drinks warranted a 5* rating. The service wasn't very personable and the kabob combo wasn't very authentic compared to other greek locations in the area in boca. however for a pitstop between medical exams in the area or a lunch its ok and decently priced. The kabob wasn't really a kabob, it didnt come on a skewer nor was it in chunky meat styles like traditional greek places. it was like a flat thinly over cooked chicken slice with a salad on the side. We went here for a birthday lunch and I was very impressed. They were able to handle 15 people outside with separate checks. The food was very good. I ordered chicken with Greek Salad- it was delicious. They even brought us pita and tzatziki without an up charge. we were able to bring a cake in from the outside to celebrate. It was a beautiful day but it was even nicer because we were in the shade on the water. Perfect spot for lunch and dinner! The food was great. I would recommend Rafina for anyone that is looking for an elevated Greek dining experience. After being seated in an area with magnificent water front views we were given a complimentary dip and pita bread, which was delicious. Our servers were extremely attentive and recommended two cocktails, I typically don't drink but I had a hibiscus martini which and another tropical cocktail which I can't remember at the moment they were both excellent.
