They also do not have an online payment option. Not sure I would use them again due to the lack of communication, but the work seems to be good.

Their estimator came out and intently listened, laid out our options, and made sure we were all on the same page. He was honest and transparent about what could be done, what couldn't be done, and ultimately provided a very detailed, fair estimate. He was there when the crew arrived on the first day, and again took pains to ensure everyone was on the same page. The crew was respectful of the home, clean, efficient, and polite and friendly when we had to interact with them. The project manager visited the job each day and liaised between us and the crew, as opportunities for clarification arose. The crew's work was just as detailed and fastidious as the estimate, and everything they worked on, from the siding replacement to the exterior house painting and gutter replacement, went very smoothly. The end result exceeded our expectations, especially as the house is 70 years old with additions and oddly placed utilities and "old house things" that can make it challenging to work on. They took it all in stride and banged out some fabulous work, though! The house looks better than I've ever seen it. People keep noticing too, as we have been getting frequent requests to share Orions info with visitors who see their recent work during their visits. We will definitely work with Orion again!

They failed to anticipate a new plat was needed and had promised no permits were required, as they would simply be replacing old footings. Both things proved untrue and we spent another 2 months obtaining the required permits. During that time Orion was not communicating and I had to call they every week for a check-in. May 3rd arrives and materials are delivered, a dumpster is dropped, and workers arrive. First two days run fairly smoothly with demolition. Day 3 is a half day, 0930-1230, "we are waiting for the permit", meanwhile the demolition is not complete and the dumpster is not filled, debris is piled in the yard. Once the the first permit comes in, the process is 3 more weeks with 1-3 workers per day, working 3 to 6 hours per day. Nobody communicates when they are coming or going, they just sort of show up. Three total weeks later a beautiful deck. Final permit/inspection is cancelled and another week goes by to get everything approved. Bottom line: Orion Home Improvement is unreliable and I will not be working with them again.

So I decided to not take the gamble and go cheap and slow. So I decided to go with Ascension for a couple of reasons. One reason is because I had a good customer service experience with Ascension Home Contractors before. The confusion was on how the tiles was to be laid on the Salon floor with stencils or not. Well after half the ceramic floor was already set and pasted on the 1200 sqft. floor. It didn't look like the way I wanted. So I told Jimmy the owner that I didn't like it. Without an augment as I expected from many. Jimmy gathered his team the next day and picked up about 600 sqft. ceramic tile and reinstalled it the way I wanted. The second reason is that Ascension is like a one stop shop. They do everything. They will project management for you so you do not have to stress and find other contractors. If you need junk removal, house cleaning, tree cutting, or anything related. Ascensions have the resources to get the job done the right way and fast. Yeah I paid more of the top end for Ascension but I had peace of mind and got the job done the right way with out the worry that someone may do a bad job or run off with my money. I had a few Handymen that does work that was not insured or licensed. So be careful about that. Those are the people that may not have a big team but will give you a lower price and you will just have to take a gamble with. Ascensions is License and Insured and it is a reason why you have to pay a premium when you want good work done with good customer service. So this is why I would recommend Ascensions Home Contractors for your home or business. Also Jimmy the owner is very knowledgeable and will inherit your project as if it is were his own and make the right recommendations for your goals.

Alan informed me he has been doing siding work for over 30 years. I looked at the color options, styles of siding and a material for my porch ceiling. The pricing was actually less than I thought so we worked in new vinyl porch rails as well. And they are beautiful. Just warm water will keep them clean, which is great. All of my eaves were closed in with white vented soffit material. The siding install manager was very attentive to all my questions. The job looks wonderful and I love the fact I am done worrying about painting it. Once again Click Construction performed well. And I recommend them highly and will have them do more work for me.
