I visited this new location the other week and had a great experience! To start there is free parking, which is always a plus. I was quickly greeted upon arrival and able to secure a table on the patio. It's a great patio and I like how they rearranged the space since taking over the location. Service was top notch, as everyone order was correct, our server was friendly and helpful with menu suggestion, a glass never went empty, and anytime we needed something she was prompt - but also didn't hover. I started with the pineapple soda which was delicious and unique. We tried the yuka which crisply and tasted great! I went with the steak and fries dish. I thought the fries were wonderfully crispy, the steak had good flavor, and I LOVED the plantains! A few others at my table for the fried dolphin dish and it was stunning! The rest of my party tried different coffees and all received high remarks! Overall, a great expirence!

Absolutely delicious selection of authentic Cuban cuisine, there is something for everyone here! Delicious coffee, I had the cortado, and of course friendly, prompt and attentive service. They also have cocktails which I am excited to try when I come back in the evening. This is a locally owned, family run establishment, which makes it even sweeter to support! Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Welp we done did it. We found them. The best effing fish tacos in Nashville live at Leche de Tigre…read more I didn't believe it at first. I've been around. I've had ceviche here... good ceviche, solid ceviche, ceviche that will do the job if you're suddenly hit with a lime-and-fish craving in East Nashville. If you want the real ceviche crown though, that still belongs to Limo Peruvian Eatery down the street (imho). But let's stay focused here, because what Leche de Tigre has mastered are tacos with fish inside of them. One visit a few weeks ago, in a moment of weakness, I ordered the fried rice. It was fine. Not bad, just... fine. I spent that entire meal staring longingly at Sam's plate of fish tacos like a man who knows he has chosen poorly. She offered me one bite. That bite haunted me for days. So today, sweet redemption. We returned. On a Tuesday. And by some cosmic alignment of fortune, it was Taco Tuesday. Normally $9 for two, today they were $6.99 for two. I don't know if this deal happens every Tuesday, but on this Tuesday, I felt blessed by Paco the god of the taco. And the tacos? These tacos were transcendent. Crispy fish that somehow stayed light, a burst of flavor that didn't just hit your tongue but rewrote your afternoon plans and maybe your life story? Tacos that made me question every other taco I've ever eaten. Nashville, I'm sorry. I didn't know it could be like this. Leche de Tigre sits inside The Wash, which is basically an outdoor food court for adults who still want to feel cool. If fish tacos aren't your thing (which begs the question: are you okay?), you can wander into Cuban food, Vietnamese, fried chicken, pho, and other distractions. But for the love of all that is crispy, order the fish tacos. Four stars for the menu as a whole. Five stars for the tacos. Average it out however you want, but I'm coming back for those tacos.

Went in on a busy afternoon for lunch. To be completely honest the lack of flavor from the food I…read morehad is insulting to Caribbean culture. I had the chicken plate with Cuban black beans and St Lucian rice. The signature bbq sauce was essentially a thinner version of Manwhich. As a whole, it was all very bland and the food temperature was lukewarm. People around us were ordering the salad with almonds and oranges on it, came with some type of bread. Not sure the name but it looked delicious! Maybe I'll try that. If I were to go back I'd definitely order something different because this meal was not the one for me. Our server was great! Can't remember his name unfortunately. However, he was very attentive and even topped off our togo drinks without asking. I noticed he was taking care of nearly every table in the restaurant and still managed to get everything right, never forgetting a thing. Five stars for him! The restaurant is set up like an outdoor patio. There are various 2-4 seater tables with picnic style chairs. The staff quickly accommodated my party of four by combining two tables. Service was quick and efficient not sure if I'd recommend for large groups.

I can finally return more! That fruit tea is the second greatest fruit tea I've had, being edged out of first place only slightly by Baja down the street. Thompson Lane I think is the center of the fruit tea universe. All these years later I still only get a couple of things there. Black bean rice nachos and the black bean salad. There's not a lot on their menu that I really enjoy, but those two I really do. My kiddos are fans of both the black bean and chicken nachos and I have requests often to drop in and it's usually when dropping in would result in being stuck in traffic for an hour. Womp womp. They recently reopened for dinner which I have yet to have had a chance to do. It's been on my radar but something about eating a mass of beans before bedtime doesn't appeal to my crew - their loss. Used to be a fan of their carrot cake as well, got to put that on my to-do list. Something about carrot cake and fruit tea and beans just yeah, get that to go.
