I came in, changed into the provided clothes, and then a tiny korean woman prodded my body with her hands and found knots I did not even know existed. I spent the next 60 minutes getting my a** kicked. I was partly in awe of how much pressure this tiny woman could produce, and partly distracted by the amount of pain I was in as she worked to loosen those knots. If you have a hard time finding a place with masseuses that can apply serious pressure, you should definitely come here. I was always told that pain was just weakness leaving the body. This is my first ever review on Yelp. Wasn't going to say something but this experience keeps coming back to mind, so here it is: I've been to Soya twice, both times with male masseuses. The first time it was in the public area and my friend was next to me. It felt good so I went back. The second time was in the private room. Throughout the 60 minute massage, the masseuse's hands kept going under my shirt, rubbing from down to all the way up my back. Several times his groin was 5 inches away from my face. I've been going to massage on a regular basis so I'm not unfamiliar with what it involves. But that was the first time I asked myself in my head throughout the 60 mins - "do his hands need to go there?" "What is he doing??" "Am I overthinking??". This was the most in uncomfortable and inappropriate massage experience I've ever had when I walked in I was handed a pair of shorts but no shirt and when I walked out, I saw a pile of clean shirts. I was not offered one. Then the masseuse put a very small blanket on me that didn't even cover my entire back. This man spent 40% of the time on my back and 40% on my ass my legs and arms were pretty much ignored. He continually rested his hand on my ass and did things to keep touching it. This place is a gem! SO cheap. It's $20 for a 50-minute foot massage or $30 for combo and the massage itself is great. Place is very clean. I think you can change into clothes they provide but I just kept what I was wearing on. They have several rooms, some two person ones and some singles. Only negative was how loud the TV was... This is my new fav massage place. I've had three different masseuses and all three were great. Henry is awesome. I love that the beds are heated and they give you clothes to change into so you don't have to preplan what you are wearing or worry about a last-minute drop-in. They have little candies, water, and a loyalty card. It's a little annoying when they answer the phone during your massage or you can hear other clients talking but I think it's pretty standard. I recently discovered unauthorized charges on my credit card statement, which included a $250 transaction on 12/29 at this establishment, despite the fact that I live on the east coast and have never visited. My card wasn't stolen; someone used my card number for this transaction. While I can't comment on their services, I believe it's crucial to report this incident. It's currently under investigation for fraud, but I wanted to share my experience. And hopefully,  the business makes an assessment about their payment collection practices. According to my provider this was the only one, of the many fraudulent transactions between 12/29 and 1/15, that was done onsite. Perhaps they took over the phone? The amount seems high for the service based on the other reviews here so perhaps it was a gift card purchase that they can investigate or identify who was using it. Other fraudulent purchases made during the above referenced period include an online purchase to Imperial Fish Market, some WiFi provider, and a scrubs/uniform company called SP Figs. Thai Korean fusion style massage. I decided on a 30 body/30 foot and was not disappointed. Pressure points were found in my feet that were somewhere between painful and ticklish. The back massage was done w short and t shirt, I'd prefer the skin contact-but they did a great job with the fabric over top. I used to go to Soya all the time and loved the massages I got from the owner Henry and Ava. Henry is a very kind gentleman with amazing massage techniques. Ava uses different technique that's more vigorous than deep pressure but I enjoyed getting massages from both of them. THIS IS NOT A REVIEW FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT BUT FOR A VERY SPECIFIC MALE MASSEUSE. Now get ready for a long and very detailed rant: The second to the last times I went, I got massage from this male masseuse (his name starts with an M), and the experience I had with him stopped me from going for a long time. Several times I felt like his hand was getting too closed to sensitive areas. I shook it off. What really bothered me was that at the end of the massage, he got on the table, and sat/rode behind my butt with my face down and was massaging my lower back, and he bent me in a way that put my thigh right between his legs - this was completely unnecessary, but I bit my tongue because I felt like maybe I was overreacting. I left the place feeling disgusting. I stopped going for a long time until 2 days ago - I decided to give it another chance and I got the same masseuse again. Man, it definitely brought back the bad memory. First of all, the massage sucked. He was very sloppy with the massage and same as how I remembered, was grabbing places that are inappropriately close to my sensitive areas. Some detail examples are: 1. He would move my legs by grabbing the upper end to my thighs when he could have just moved by my calves instead. 2. He moved my hand around my chest and swiped my breasts on two occasions. 3. Put my arm in between his legs and close to his crotch when he massaged - when I moved it out of the way he grabbed it and put it back in between his legs. 4. He stretched me in a very awkward position which put my thigh right in between his crotch. 5. He tried to sit on me again behind my butt, I had to stop him right there, and told him to not sit on me and it did not feel comfortable. He not only did not stop right away, but kept going and tried to sit behind my butt while I told him to stop multiple times, at the end he finally stopped and asked "why?" - wow, I could not believe what I heard. I do not need a reason to tell a person to not to sit on me, let along in a position that makes me feel wildly violated. This is fucking ridiculous. I still tipped him because I just wanted to get out of that place and never go back again. Honestly I didn't want to leave a review because I really enjoyed the establishment up until my last experiences, but I feel like something needs to be said and that guy needs to be fired or at least regulated.
