Bought a Jacuzzi Tub from them (around 7k) 2023. It started leaking about a year in, unfortunately they had a fire at the store and were closed. I had a repair man out but he couldn't find the leak. so it has leaked for a year or so. Now, it has developed a crack in the shell and is leaking even more. Crafters will not send anyone out to look at it, they want me to submit photos, videos, and proof to manufacturer. I have but they just keep giving me the run around, more hoops to jump through. I wish I never bought this thing in the first place. Probably sell it as is for next to nothing. Essentially no warranty, no support, you are on your own. read more

I had been searching for a jacuzzi for a long time. Did my research and finally found one at Spa Crafters. Their sales and installation team are great. I love my jacuzzi and would highly recommend them. Shawn sold me a great tub and threw in a lot of extras without my asking for them. Do your research. Don't bother with 110v jacuzzis as you will have filtration issues. Not worth whatever you will save on the initial purchase. Shawn and Frank were awesome. Really put me at ease throughout the entire process. Tub was delivered, set up and working within three days of purchase. The only delay was the availability of the electrician. However, Kelly (an electrician recommended by Shawn) was worth the wait. He did an excellent job. Awesome company. read more

TLDR: I bought a refurbished tub and did everything they said for maintenance (one of which was keep the cover on). After 3 weeks I kept having algae in the water and called them, they said they'd send someone next day with cleaner (no mention of a charge). After one look he said you have algae, I can sell you $20 cleaner to fix it yourself, also this isn't warranty so a 1hr call out charge of $170. I explained I just got the tub and this issue was present basically immediately. He let me talk to manager who said, it's not possible they let algae grow and it was because I left the cover on in the heat. Did not care that's what I'd been told to do by his install tech. Full: I bought 15k tub from them. On install was given chemicals to keep water clean and told to "keep the cover on" when not using it. I did notice after filling some, what I thought was debris, after running the jets. I just cleaned the filter, the removed the debris. I also noticed the water was oddly blue/green tint when I put it in so I called and asked, they said that was normal and not to worry. I immediately noticed the water would get super hot like 95 degrees without the heat even on because of it being constant 110 days. I eventually read online you can solve this just cracking the cover to let the heat out, so I started doing that after like 1 week. After 3 weeks I finally called them because I kept having that "debris" and notice it turned on when I ran the jets. They lady said she could have a tech out there tomorrow and he'd bring cleaner, I assumed this was warranty thing and was pleased with them being quick. When the guy showed up he took one look at the tub and said it was algae, likely in the pipes and he luckily had cleaner in his truck. But then said the cleaner was $20 and there would be an hour service charge, I explained I'm sure they're covering it since I literally just bought the tub. He gave me the number of the manager to discuss this. I called him and the manager asked if I kept cover completely on (like his tech said to) I explained I did for the first week but then cracked it after to let it cool. He claimed the hot temperature in the first week let algae grow and therefore it wasn't their fault. I mentioned I only did what his installer said and that didn't matter, it wasn't warranty and I pay for visit and cleaner. The total price was $190 for the cleaner and service time. Note not to do the cleaning, just to visit my house and sell me the cleaner to do myself. I asked if they really want to piss off a customer who spent over 10 grand for just a couple hundred bucks and they seemed fine with that. So I suggest shopping literally anywhere else. read more

Scam artists and liars. This company sent a tech out to my house to see what was going on with my jacuzzi. The tech cut the wires, and proceeded to tell me the board was bad and the heater was done. He gave me a $3900 quote and left. They then sold me a broken breaker for over $300 and refused to switch me back for a working one. The whole situation felt off so I called another company to look at it. The board was fine, and all that was needed was to re wire what he had cut, set the new breaker and my jacuzzi was just fine. Highly recommend looking elsewhere for your spa needs and not doing business with people who are out just to take your money. read more

I cannot believe I am saying this about a place I once LOVED but here goes: 9 years ago I purchased a top-of-the-line Jacuzzi from Spa Crafters and had always been happy with the service I had received in the past. Recently I put a call into Spa Crafters about servicing my Jacuzzi hot tub regarding my Flow Pump that was giving me issues. These folks seemed to be more interested in selling me a new hot tub instead of servicing my spa over the phone and was told "someone in service will call you back to schedule a time to come out." That call never came. Now worries, had to buy a new filter and chemicals so while I was in the store I got the appointment scheduled the appointment in person. This is where it gets good.. My service appointment occurred as planned and with a rep that I had previously had a great experience with in the past. I ask my "trusted" service representative how much it would cost to replace the Flow Pump my advisor told me that the pump itself would run $450 + labor- that is if nothing else is wrong with the Spa. I then asked what it could end up running and he told me that the problem with if the Flow Pump goes out then that would likely burn the Heater out and then that would fry the control panel. "How much is this going to cost me if all that happens?" My trusted advisor's response, "$4500+ labor." I gasped.. NO WAY that could be the case for my Jacuzzi Hot Tub that had been well taken care of over the years with. Well, the service rep opens up my spa and 10 minutes later (without performing any type of testing on ANY of my equipment) my previously highly trusted service advisor proceeds to tell me that Flow Pump had gone out. Again, without testing anything, since my Flow Pump had gone out then my Heater had been effected and had gone out as well. And again, without performing any testing, since my Heater had gone out then my Control Panel had gone out. Guess what? The cost was going to be $6,500 to fix my Jacuzzi Hot Tub. Now this is where it really gets good. Well, if you want we can haul your Hot Tub away for $800-$1000. My response was, "You want me to PAY you $1000 so that you can take my Hot Tub, fix it, & then sell it for $10,00-$13,000? No thanks!" Bottom line is I got my hot tub fixed for $1,500 by someone else and runs like it is brand new. read more

Purchased a Diamond Swim Spa from this location, 3 years ago! We LOVE it have had multiple events with the swim spa. The service we get from this team is stellar. I called and they said they would note the system, call if it stopped working. It did! But when I called I got nowhere with the staff. Had another (same) leak again repaired w/ in a few months of the last time. Service maintenance person was kind, and professional. Originally told this same repair would be at no cost. I thought wow thank you! The service person was later told no there will be a charge. I thought well ok then was told a certain price then there was an attempt to add another service charge price to increase the bill! I called the owner rude as all get out! He was yelling from the beginning at me. I asked him not to yell at me. He was accusing me of using the wrong chemicals on my spa. The service person had already sent him pictures of the same chemicals that they recommend, and sell. We still have been using the same chemicals since the purchase of the spa from spa crafters. He told me I was lying offered to send proof again to him. He hung up on me. I was explaining to him I'd send pictures too. The person needs to resign retire. He has no customer service no Couth... the bill was slightly higher than the last few months would of been ok even after being told we would not be charged at all, but the owner tried to increase the bill further after being told the service was free then $98 then up to $150. The bill had already been written out for $98. I wrote the check as final on receipt. I do feel bad for the workers, and repair people that put up with an owner that is very rude! This is long delayed due to many reasons. You will notice only good reviews on this company. In May 2020, I started looking for a hot tub. Due to Covid, hot tubs were slim pickings since the computer chips were not easily found. Sean, the GM showed us a few hot tubs. I ulitmately bought a new Sundance spa in June 2020. It was delivered in Aug. Once the tub was delivered, it was a couple days before the electric was hooked up. As soon as tub was filled and turned on it started leaking. I called the company and was told they would send a repairman. Upon opening the outside of the tub, we saw insulation missing and torn up. The repairman said it was obvious there had been previous attempts to fix the leak. I asked if the tub was new. He said no, as indicated by the first letter of the serial number and the leak. We went to ask Sean why we received a used hot tub when we paid for a new one. He said "define new". We informed him we wanted our money back. He refused and we told him he would hear from our atty. Once the letter got to him from the atty, he called me. He said he had a bad day when we came to ask about tub. He was offering to give us a "new" Sundance hot tub, like the one we had. Point is, the first one was supposedly new. I informed him of the kind of new tub I wanted. He agreed to swap out. My atty sent a letter through email for Sean to sign so we could have documentation. Sean never signed the letter. I asked him about it more than once and he would say I think it's sent. We accepted delivery of the new tub per our consultation with our atty. I called other jacuzzi dealers in other cities. I asked the price of the tub I wanted. They always gave me the same price and what the current rebate would be. They also said they couldn't get one for 3-4 months because of back orders. Dealing with Sean, who he proclaimed from the beginning "I'm not a salesperson, I'm the GM". Purchased a house in San Antonio that came with an old hot tub that predated Mesopotamia. Originally thought to fix. Paid their technician to come out a month or more later only to tell us it was old and unfixable without it being extraordinarily expensive to fix. When we brought up removal they wanted $800 to trash it. Technician said they offered credit and the sales gentleman on the phone said they'd offer a nice credit towards new purchase. Went into store, told sales rep that budget was $8000 maximum. Was immediately taken to the $12K+ tubs offered a deal that gave us little to no credit essentially was just free junking of the old one. Deal seemed too good to be true so we read through some recent reviews, within 1-2 years. Read some reviews that they've historically over the last couple years been selling renovated tubs like new. Would have been ours. Contacted a junk company and sawed apart the old tub to prevent ethical breaches like this. It's 2022, and actually do not know who runs or owns spa crafters any longer. However , Fred B. delivered two high quality objects to me decades ago (30years ago). No not a hot tub, but a beautiful plant in a lovely pot. And a water fall for my office. I still have my plant ! In the same pot. I purchased a hot tub from Spa Crafters on 10/6 with a delivery date given for 10/7. At 5:30 on the 7th I called to check on the delivery and they said the delivery man would call by 6:00. At 6:30 I received a call from them informing me that they couldn't make it that day but would reschedule for the following day, the 8th. They didn't deliver on the 8th either. When I called in I was told that delivery would now be impossible before the 21st, despite the flashing sign out front of the business promising immediate delivery. I drove over to Spa Crafters to cancel the order and was told they had just deposited my check and I would have to wait for the check to clear in order for them to mail it to me. I was skeptical of a 21st delivery date and now I am concerning about receiving my payment back. I am a stage 4 cancer patient and time is the most valuable commodity that I have. I wasted two days waiting on their delivery that I will never get back. I've have always believed that the type of service you receive at the beginning of a business relationship will be representative of the type of service you will receive down the road. I purchased a used wet end for my spa pump. This was for a spa that was in another state, but I live here. I picked it up, took it to the remote location, and it leaked at the seal and there was a crack in the bottom. I removed it, and I brought it back to spa crafters and the owner rebuilt it on the spot. However he has no method to wet test this wet end pump. I took it back and installed it on an alternate hot tub, And it still leaked from the bottom. He did not address the leak on the crack of this used pump. I returned the pump and they told me that the owner would look at it and give me a call back. They would either offer me another used pump or give me a refund with a 20% restock charge. I told him that was unacceptable because, as a broken pump, they weren't going to put it back on the shelf and restock it. The owner got very bully-ish and told me there is no argument here, I will give you a used pump or I will give you a refund with a 20% restock charge. He emphatically states over and over again that he has been doing this for 40 years. I am surprised he is still in business with this attitude. He said he would make an exception and give me a new pump in place of the first used broken pump. He also accused someone of dropping it. He said it could be him that dropped it, or me that dropped it. I'm a new home buyer and avid real estate investor, I called looking for some information for a hot tub for my new home. When I called looking for the recommendation/quote, I informed Sean, the salesman, that I wasn't married but have large groups of friends over regularly. He jokingly said "Oh, you're a man wh*re". SPA CRAFTERS ---- Has the "most unprofessional" customer service and maintenance repair service I've ever had with them ever. Edward was the repairman in charge and acts like he owns the company, lies, just down right rude to me and husband (both well into Senior years). I used to go to them loyally ever since we bought our Jacuzzi from them years ago, but Edward has turned completely sour and rude and after charging me over $1500 did not complete his overall inspection. I called back and Edward refuses to do work that I've asked him to do. I had appt for all around maintenance check and repair items I was already aware of. $1515.00 payment later, they tried hard to refuse to work on our unit but wanted us to consider getting new one instead. I told them do what I asked. When done they stated all was fine. Oh but I did not think to ask them to show me that all was working, my bad choice. We are getting ready to use it the next morning when I noticed several things were not working. I called them to explain that they did not finish what I asked of them. They had the repair guy call me back and he started lying to me telling me he pointed out those things which he did not. If he had pointed those things out to me I would've paid the extra $100 for those new parts and none of the ugliness about to take place, would take place. So this was the beginning of the ugliness about to take place. Mainly no one better ever call me a liar. After they left our house without completing their job, my husband checked BBB rating on them. We found out the rating was a B- with 1 out of 5 stars. And so many complaints on the BBB site that some merit exactly what happened at my house. When they returned here next day supposedly to finish the repair work, they began arguing with my daughter and telling lies when they did initial work. Then after they began arguing with my adult kids and saying ugly things about me, the owner of the house & Jacuzzi, That's when my 34 yr old son stepped in to have them put what parts they yanked out of our Jacuzzi back together and then to have them leave our property. They refused to put the parts back in my Jacuzzi, and matter fact when they left they took our pieces of parts and threw them in a mud puddle next to my house. We did speak to the district manager (Sean) about our complaints and Edward lying to me about not finishing on day of repairs, but mainly about not finishing what was asked to repair, plus their very rude customer service attitude of the repair guys being very unprofessional. But after us telling him our truthful version of the story (with witnesses) and then him listening to his men, obviously he's going to go with what his men say. He stated to me on the phone that he's going to have HR problems with his men if he doesn't take the sides of his men. That then is obvious Sean is not a good Manager for that company. Edward told 'his side' to all the workers so i was promised a call back, but I had to call the district manager back next day on status to hear that ALL of them refuse to come back to our home for any future work, not even to put what parts they yanked now in mud. So obviously they do not care about customers whatsoever at that company. PLEASE DO NOT EVER USE 'SPA CRAFTERS' off Hwy 1604 for new purchases or maintenance repair work ever again, we will never again, and will continue spreading the word every way possible to our wonderful community. read more

The way of proceeding is the most tricky and unprofessional I have ever known. I thought they were serious, but what I see is that they are racist and rude! I never asked for the replacement of my jacuzzy to be sent to them, they asked for it to hook me up!  I gave them the opportunity kindly, and told them that it was not possible !! I can not spent 8,000 for another jacuzzy of the brands they handdle. Yesterday they told me that the change of the replacement would be on Monday, then sent me to Tuesday and if it did not suit me, I would pick up my part. I go and now they tell me that on Wednesday, and if I do not leave your store! And i cant recover my part i ordered! They kiked me out of the store, and leave the part in the street for me when the manager of the store where i bought my jacuzzy call them! Terrific product - even better customer service. After nearly a year of research and shopping for a quality hot tub and a retailer we'd trust for maintenance, we finally found Spa Crafters. While other companies TALKED about their hot tubs, Spa Crafters had us (all 4 of us) get into the tub we were considering. This is really an important point that we realized only after we all got in and were so cramped with no where to put our feet or legs. A 4-person tub will hold 4 people - but you really need to all get in to see if you feel as cramped as we did. So, for a few more inches, we finally started shopping in the correct size range. Now, let's talk number of jets. Most spas boast the number of jets - not too subtly indicating that more is better. Sometimes more is just more. In the case of jets, if there are 72 jets but they are all underpowered and prone to breakage (if the customer can easily remove the jet, it's made to be broken), that's not a quality product. At this point, the most important factor for us was getting the physical therapy necessary. From neck issues, to back problems, to rheumatoid arthritis, to gym recovery, quality jets are a must. The price was not cheap but the warranty was more than twice of other products and Spa Crafters has a long history of servicing hot tubs throughout the area. Installation was tricky - we were very limited on site selection. But Spa Crafters made it happen! The crew was professional, friendly and took it all very seriously. They made sure we were happy with the placement; comfortable with the cover lift; and we even got a one-on-one chemical / spa care lesson. I so appreciated the time taken to make sure we understood what we needed to do and how the Jacuzzi works. If we are ever in the market for a hot tub again (not likely with a Jacuzzi!), Spa Crafters is where we'll go. read more

We went in this store to do research for a spa purchase. We have done all kinds of research on the internet and read review etc...for many different brands. This store had one brand that got great reviews so we wanted to go in and check them out in person. We were approached by a salesperson who knew very little about the spas they had displayed. He asked if we were interested in a different brand than we came in to view. We went to see the specific brand as they got high reviews, he said both brands were made side by side, does he know that? He did not know much about the spas on the brand we went in to see. We walked to the front to provide our info, and he told two other sales people we were comparing their spa to another brand. They IMMEDIATELY started talking down the competition. They said they had heard all kinds of bad things and had literature to show it. I asked to see it, and they all of the sudden could not find the info. They said GOOGLE it, well we had already done that prior to arriving at their shop. I do not appreciate a business that tries so hard to discredit their competition thinking it might help them get a sale. When I first went to Spa Crafters, I was reluctant. After having bought from them I will never buy from another place. They treated me fair and honest, I had a problem three months after I bought it, called them and they had a technician here that day. I was not happy with my experience with Spa crafters. We went there because they are the only Jacuzzi dealership in San Antonio. The first day I went in there, Frank was showing me some options but then just walked away to take a phone call in the middle of his "presentation". Shawn came out and seemed "knowledgeable" but it was all for show. He was just talking bad about all of the different brands out there. To me, he didn't take me as a serious buyer. Eventually, when he spoke to my husband about options, he kept trying to sell us refurbished ones, or some other weird off brand. They were very pushy and super sketchy. When they found one that we wanted, they tried to get more money after they had already previously agreed on a price! I would hate to have to deal with them to purchase or maintain a spa. Bad costumer service. We had schedule an appointment for them to fix the electrical panel in our hot tube two weeks in advance. My husband was called the day before to confirm the appointment and he told them someone would be at the house for the appointment. The day comes and they tried calling my husband again, he was in a meeting at work and was not able to answer. Then they called me and said that the guy had left to his second job because no one answered and that they did not have my number, I don't understand how they were able to call me if they didn't have my number. Horrible company - horrible service - they badly damaged our brand new tile - didn't care - would not respond to our problem - said it was my fault. Avoid these people at all costs - do yourself a favor and go someplace else - you'll be glad you did. read more
