Rick is a nice guy however he will not get the job done. He took 2 hours just for a diagnosis and did not fix a single thing. He charges by the hour so he takes his time very slowly. I just had another company come by and they diagnosed the problem within the first 10 minutes. Also when Rick charges you a trip fee- he does not bake that fee into the cost of the repair (if you choose him to repair.) I was charged well over $200 for him to not fix a single thing. I was told when they were heading to my house and Rick arrived when he said he would. Rick was great explaining about the spa & care for it. He even gave me a flyer with additional info. The reason he is getting 3 stars is the pricing. I was told by my spa sales place that a new pump would be $385. Rick charged $505. I thought the $125 service fee would be waived if he did work, which he did do work but he still charged me the fee. Then ge charged me for labor on top of that. I was very disappointed by our service today. Not only did the technician make racially insensitive comments, but he was TOTALLY off when diagnosing they issue with our spa. We had a blown fuse, a super easy fix and diagnose issue, but his suggestion was to replace the entire spa pack, which would have cost upwards of $1,000. Rick the spa doctor came out to my house for a maintenance call. Fixed a small leak. The next day all the water had drained out of the spa. I called him back so he would fix what he had done. Thinking there would be no charge. He came out didn't mention to me that there would be another service call bill. I get notified by my landlord he wants to be paid for another service call. This was second time I used Rick for my hot tub. The first time I installed a spa pump and had the wiring mixed up. Rick fixed it and just charged me for the service call. So when my second pump went out I figured it would just be easier to have him do the work since he knows what he is doing. I called Rick and he came out the next day to do the repair. What was nice is he looked over the whole tub. Over 10 years some of the seals were breaking down. He fixed those and it was only a couple bucks. Rick is extremely overpriced and rather dishonest and confrontational. When he came out he did not disclose that he would be charging 135 just for the "trip fee". When he did complete the work he moved as slowly as possible and tried to charge us 1,300 for an incredibly small and brief amount of work, as well as roughly 200$ in parts (available at that price on Amazon) that he charged 500$ for. When questioned on the price Rick became very confrontational, aggressive, and rude. I would not trust him to do work fairly or to be act in good faith based on our previous encounters. When his spa interface that he previously replaced recently failed, (only 3 months into our 1 year "warranty") He let us know he could only come have a look at it for 230$, despite it being his failed installation only months out. When I reminded him we were still under warranty he stopped communication entirely. This man is a charlatan. read more

After nine years of disuse, we decided to get our Jacuzzi up and running again. As you would imagine, our thirty-year-old Jacuzzi needed some TLC after not being in use for so long. Despite it's age, the issues with the Jacuzzi were with minor leaks and the control pack dying on us. After reading reviews online, we decided to contact Rick Delzer of the Spa Doctor to come take a look to see what could be done with our vintage Jacuzzi. The owner, Rick, charges a rate of $85 for the first hour and $65 for every hour thereafter. To make a long story short, the thirty-year-old spa pack/heater needed to be replaced as the company no longer made parts to fix my spa pack that was essentially falling apart. Rick did his best to save the existing spa pack, yet it simply could not be repaired. Rick offered to install a brand new spa pack, controller, and filter assembly to get the Jacuzzi successfully back up and running and not charge for labor due to the unsuccessful attempts at getting the existing spa pack to work. Rick was able to do just that the following day which successfully repaired our Jacuzzi, which now has a digital controller and heats much faster! The Jacuzzi also works flawlessly as well. Thanks to Rick and his son, my Jacuzzi is up and running again with no issues! My only gripe with the service is that I found the control pack at a significantly lower rate online through various outlets than what Rick had charged me, but hey, that's how businesses stay afloat. Rick states he has been working with spas and Jacuzzis for nearly thirty years (about the age of our Jacuzzi), and it definitely shows! He is very knowledgeable and is truly an expert in his field. Probably the best spa service technician in Las Vegas. They wanted over $500.00 To fix a leak on my hot tub They said it was the motor. Their estimate was good for five days! I thought that was a little odd since most estimates are good for at least 30 days. So happy I went with my gut feelings. Rick saved me $1,000 today!!! The first guy I called charged me $420 to replace the spa pump and then told me that it still didn't work and he couldn't fix the problem. The second guy I called couldn't fix it and referred me to someone else. The third guy said I needed a part that cost $950 and $280 in labor. Finally, I got lucky and talked to Rick. He said the same part would cost $450 and about $185 in labor. Then when he got there, he was able to fix the spa with no parts to speak of and a total bill of $193. Wahoo!!!! He was quick, courteous, helpful, and best of all, didn't charge me an arm and a leg just because he knew I was desperate! So disappointed and upset about this guy who calls himself a spa doctor. Would give a 0 rating if it was an option. He charges by the hour and all he cares about is how to prolong his stay to get as much money from you. He is slow as hell, talks too much, and takes his sweet time to go back and forth his SUV to get one tool at a time to prolong his stay so he could charge you more for his time. Had to empty out water from the spa, theeeen fill it up, theeeeen empty it out again! Cha-ching! No wonder it is 4 hours. You would think he would cut down on his price for all the time he had for stopping to talk and for walking back and forth and for pausing to pretend to think. OMG! I can't believe I just paid almost $350 for this guy to come out to take a small part of the hot tub out. I wish I hired someone else because it is a 30-minute job and the spa is not even fixed yet. We just told him not to come back to put the stuff back together in our spa; this spa doctor doesn't know what he is doing....he is either doing trial and error or playing dumb to lengthen his stay to charge more.
