Came here for my birthday spa day and was treated horribly. I chose this place because it looked cute and welcoming, and being in LA, I expected a diverse and inclusive environment. Unfortunately, that was not the experience we had. My friends and I were quiet, yet a staff member told us to "shhh," then the front desk aggressively claimed there were complaints and threatened to kick us out. She literally said if we have another complaint we will kick you out. Meanwhile, other louder guests were ignored (white ladies). The treatment felt targeted and discriminatory. If you're LATINA or a person of color, be cautious. Ruined my birthday. Will not return horrible customer service! Go to WI asap way better!! read more

Today was my first visit at spa La and I had a wonderful experience. Check in was friendly and I was given a tour. I purchased the cleopatra massage and scrub. It was literally heaven. Yoon was the lady that did my scrub and I loved every second of it. The spa has several hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas. My fav was the salt room. So relaxing. I will definitely be back and highly recommend. The Spa is so clean and everything seems some what new. 100 stars!! read more

It's okay. Not good, not bad. The place is a bit small compared to other k-spas. Clean but a run down. The girl at the front wasn't friendly at all. My sister got there first and when she checked in, she told her that it's for two people and this girl immediately said there's only one name there, without really checking. So my sister asked her to check again and voila! she found the 2nd reservation. I asked for a tour since we've never been there, and she said she would but she's busy and said everything's "clearly marked" anyway. Nope, not everything was "clearly marked". read more

they just added a swimsuit area, which is awesome. now you can brings friends (including men) who aren't ready to go full bare. there's an infrared room with wood cubes, interesting pressure point massaging. they still don't sell food, which is a bummer, but at least parking is now hassle-free. will be back for sure. read more

A VERY HONEST REVIEW!!!!! I literally booked a flight from San Francisco, to LA just to come to SPA LA. This Spa DOES NOT get enough credit for the PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE you will receive. I am a woman, who's really into self-care and taking care of yourself. ( I work in HEALTHCARE FIELD ) hint hint.. but anyways, so on my time off, I do things/look for things to do to feed my soul. So, I went on YELP of course to find something to do-and found SPA LA. So... I booked my flight, did some shopping of course, went to eat, and boom I was here at SPA LA.. a little trouble getting my reservation booked, there was a huge party who was having issues with their payments and sort-anyways. I am finally booked- I got the Korean V-Stean and the Scrub.... babbbbby let me tell y'all now, if this is what is going on in KOREA, I need to book a flight there next. This spa has about 5 rooms, in which you do not need a reservation and walk ins are welcomed, with just paying the admission fee. 40$ on weekdays and 50 on weekends and you have access to their beautiful rooms; make sure you check their ig, website to see these rooms. back to me- I have never received the V-Steam and it was HEAVEN literally-It felt so good ... I won't say what it made me feel like but DEFINITELY TRY- I would like a longer and more high intensity steam for the V-Steam but it's still a 1000/10. Then next I did my Scrub-LORD this was the HIGHLIGHT. - It was the most refreshing and liberating thing I ever did in my life. I was scrubbed by an Korean Lady ( I think her name was Judyjung ) * sorry if this is incorrect...I laid completely naked and other women was also here in the same room getting a scrub, and they were naked as well. Everyone was respectful and mature... They scrub every Inch of your body, wash your hair, and after each part of your body they clean they get a bucket of hot water and rinse you off, I love feeling the water splash and drizzle all over my body or just her going to get the water bucket.. OMG hard to explain... then I received a wet massage and it was 20,000/10. THIS EXPERIENCE WAS LIBERATING AND REFRESHING -the only words I can describe it-The EXPERIENCE was 50,000/10 no exaggerations... I told my Lyft driver who was a man about it when I left, everyone at the airport, and it sounds crazy right.. you got a detox of your Vagina and Scrub and cleaned by a lady whom you don't know, while other women were in the same room?? Love this place! I stayed in the women's only area and arrived well before my scrub and massage time. Made full use of the three hot pools, dry and wet saunas beforehand. All very good and very clean. Had a scrub, massage, facial, shampoo that was a good price and my masseuse was perfect: strong and not rushed. I really enjoyed the detox areas afterwards : salt room, infared room, and especially the clay ball room. So good for joints and muscles! I left blissed out! Nice place- newly renovated. With that being said, the dry sauna is at 115°F. It took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to get a 15 minute sweat session. What a waste of time! I don't think I've ever stayed inside a sauna for that long- ever. I tried the steam sauna after and amazingly, it was somewhat warmer. Still, I felt a bit disappointed. They have a red light therapy room but don't expect to get any photomodulation benefits- it doesn't look medical grade infra red lights. Amenities are clean and basic. 2.5/5. read more

I booked a deep tissue massage and the treatment itself was excellent. Unfortunately, the overall experience was frustrating due to significant booking issues. When we called to schedule, and when we arrived our appointments were completely mixed up, which led to a lot of back-and-forth and confusion. Communication was difficult at times due to language barriers, and it took a while to finally speak with the owner. When we did, she insisted that we had booked the appointments incorrectly and that they were accommodating us, which felt dismissive. While they did apologize, no compensation was offered, even though the delays caused us to miss a dinner reservation. Payment is required upon arrival, which is fine, and they also ask for a tip at that time, which we provided. After the massage, however, the therapist handed me an envelope asking for a tip again. I tried to explain that I had already tipped at check-in, but it did not seem to register. The massage itself was great, but the disorganization and miscommunication made the experience far more stressful than it should have been. read more

My boyfriend treated me to a spa day with Spa LA. Today was my first time here & it was great from beginning to end! The lady at the front desk was so kind and knowledgeable. The showers are clean & equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There are three different jacuzzis with different benefits for your body. Very clean as well. I was instructed to soak in a jacuzzi at least 10 mins before my treatment. My treatment was awesome (whole body scrub, massage, face mask - "Simply Classic") & it was done by another awesome lady! After my treatment, I explored the sauna/detox rooms, I actually took my time and went into every room. Very cool atmosphere in each one. I have no complaints. So peaceful, clean, and everyone was so sweet and mellow. Loved the mushroom tea too! This was one of the most relaxing & liberating things I've ever done. I will definitely be back. read more

I recieved gift certificates, which I was excited to use! I called a head gave my giftcard number to Angela who is who answered she said they were good and to make an appointment online which I did. Arranged care for my kids drove there checked in and gave my gift certificate to the front desk girl, she checked with her manager to see if i could still use them because they said the design was different. she told me they had expired, THERE WAS NO EXPIRATION DATE WRITTEN ON THEM NO ACTUAL DATE OF PURCHASE. They offered me 50% of what they are worth. Which i also found out is illegal in California if there is not date written on them of date of purchase. California law, Civil Code section 1749.5(b)(2)No Expiration Dates: It's illegal to sell gift certificates with expiry dates, with exceptions for loyalty/promotional cards or multi-seller cards where the date is printed. Sadly I left and did not get anything done as a mom of 2 kids whom was excited to use these certificates and pay the difference and tip. It was such a disappointing experience. This time around they wrote a date on my gift certificate and a big 50% value on it. Not sure I'll even go back. Basically they got paid full price with no services rendered. read more

Made an appointment for one body scrub and one scrub + massage for 9:30 am on a Sunday. Upon getting there, the receptionist (or the red-haired lady working the counter that day) could not find my appointment in their system. I had provided my name and phone number when I made the appointment, but apparently, if I didn't receive any appointment confirmations or reminders, I never had the appointment. My mother (who was excited to experience the body scrub for the first time) and I were extremely disappointed and frustrated, to say the least. On top of that, there was no apology or remorse from the receptionist at all. It was almost like it was our fault for not knowing we were supposed to receive a confirmation. They could not fit us in until 3 hours later, which did not work with our busy schedules. I am understanding of mistakes, but the mistake was on their end, not mine, which did not seem to be clear to the receptionist. Anyways, the cherry on the top is we had to pay $8 for parking since we did not get validation. Needless to say, we will not be coming back to support this business. read more

I was just looking for another spa date with my homegirl and came across this place on yelp. I liked how clean it was and how private it was. It was less people and the customer service was great. I got the Cleopatra in Honey. Yoon was the lady who provided me the scrub and the massage. She was very kind and sweet. The jacuzzi had two pools which offer Himalayas salt (detox) and alkaline water. Plus another pool with citrus oil for preventing wrinkles. I would come back here since I liked how it isn't as pack as other spas. Also they charged for parking but it wasn't bad at all. I'm glad I found this spa spot. read more

I very much enjoyed my ME time at this women-only Spa LA. The front desk lady Angela was so nice and friendly and gave me a tour of the facility. She answered all my questions about the different treatments and encouraged me to try the V-steam after my body scrub! Jung scrubbed every inch of my body and gave me a relaxing massage. My skin felt so soft and flawless after the treatment ($125 simple classic scrub/massage). The V-steam ($50 for 30mins) is quite a new adventure and I'm hoping for positive results lol Call ahead for an appointment. It is very busy on weekends. Recently came here for a body scrub. OMG, first of all, I had so much dead skin, I was flabbergasted when I saw all the dead skin that came off me! The body scrub is a bit intense, but I guess what did I expect? It had been years since I last got one, so I kind of forgot how it is. It feels like a rough pumice stone is being rubbed all over your body, but the result is great! Asides from the body scrub, they had different rooms for the ultimate relaxation. I had other obligations, so I didn't stay very long, but I can totally imagine easily spending a whole day here to decompress. Over the holidays, I treated my daughters to a spa day, and Spa LA was the perfect choice! It's one of the few women's spas that welcomes my 15-year-old, making it ideal for a mother-daughter outing. This was her first spa experience, and we all had a fantastic time! The intense body scrubs were a hit! We literally saw layers of skin coming off (in a good way! jk... haha), leaving us feeling incredibly smooth. My massage was also intense, but in the best way possible. I walked out feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. After what felt like a million showers (okay, maybe seven!), we were all squeaky clean and blissed out. The facilities are a bit dated, particularly the shower area, but everything was very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. What we really loved was the variety of rooms - clay, salt, and more - and the fact that they were never crowded. We got to try everything without feeling rushed. I go to this Spa for every 2 ~3 weeks. I love the clay and seq salt sauna. That's the only reason I use this Spa. Today, the sauna temperature was so off. It was almost like room temperature. I kindly requested staff to take a look at temperature. She checked and acknowledged the temp was too low. She left without saying anything. I was waiting for temperature to getting hot or even warm but no changes. Finally, I decided to go home without getting sauna. I went to the front desk, the original staff was gone, there was a new staff was at the front desk. I asked for the refund because I did not get a service. She said that she was endorsed by other staff, the sauna was too low but she can't fix it, so she requested someone to come fix it tomorrow. So basically I was waiting for something nothing going to be fix today. I wasn't informed, I was just waiting and refused to get refund. I came at 1526 and left parking lot at 1637. Most of the time, I was waiting but they refused to refund me. Don't get me wrong. Its only 40 dollars but why should I pay something I did not get service? They just wasted my time. On 2/15/26, I treated myself and my Boo to a post Valentine Swedish Couples Massage. Let me mention, we're from the Bay Area and often go to Napa Valley for our Swedish massages . I say that to say...I've had several massages and know what to expect. This experience was horrible, uncomfortable and quite awkward. To start, I changed into my bikini and decided to take a full body picture in the full body wall mirror in the female powder room. As I was taking my selfies, a woman (i believe she worked there) walked directly in front of the mirror and slid it open proceeded to go behind it and close it back (it was a sliding door). Not sure if it was a 2way mirror, but it was awkward. I proceeded to the massage room with our "massage therapist." I was told to undress and to lay on the massage table face down. My "massage therapist-Sarah" stood there the entire time as I undressed. She took my clothing items from me as I took them off and placed them on the table. At one point I was standing there naked with her standing right next to me. She never left the room to give me privacy. She never really massaged me she did more of rubbing and sliding her hands up and down my body and ligaments. The oil she applied on my body was excessive and COLD. I jumped each and every time she drenched my body with it. She then began SLAPPING my buttocks and making it jiggle. She did it on both sides. Leaving my buttocks fully exposed. She asked me to turn over on my back at which point I didOnce on my back she began to rub my chest area right above my breast. Sarah, then proceeded to rub my breast. I WAS IN DISBELIEF. I should have stopped her then but I was just so confused and in shock. Once the massage was over...she asked me..."Did you like??" I just stared at her. I was just soooo confused. She then stated..."I like you...I like your energy." My boyfriend had already tipped both "therapists. I didn't mention it to my man until we were in the car. He was not happy. Ladies be careful and beware. This was not ok. It really hit me when we got back home to the Bay Area. I was violated no doubt, but again it didn't set in until I got home. I had a conversation with my mother and explained to her how stupid I felt for not speaking up in the moment. Maybe I was in denial or shock. But whatever the case it made me uncomfortable and I didn't pay $300 to feel uncomfortable. Lesson learned. I will never patronize SPA LA Again and ladies you all should think twice. Oh, and my body is still tight. My body was tense the entire time. Be safe ladies and if it doesn't feel right it ain't right! read more

I like a nice little skin shedding once a year, so I typically will indulge in a good scrub from time to time but especially when I'm on the west coast. Although this place isn't branded per say as a Korean spa, the technique and set up are that from what I've only experienced when going to Korean day spas (which I love!) The shared facilities are ample and you'll receive your locked key, robe, slippers and towel upon admission. They have a variety of different wellness pools and steam rooms for anyone to enjoy regardless of services booked. If you've never been to a day spa like this, it's probably important to note that there will be lots of nudity and the room that your scrub will be taking place in will be a communal wet room. They'll add a light cover to your eyes to help you relax and the room is fairly dim lit, but just know there may be someone just 10 feet away on a massage sla also being scrubbed down and being lovingly doused in buckets of warm water. Since I came her for a scrub on my first visit, I booked The Cleopatra Treatment; a full body exfoliation scrub, massage with aroma oil, honey, hair wash, citrus facial cleansing and pearl face mask. I absolutely loved this treatment so much and would definitely book it again. My skin felt so soft and nourished following the treatment. During my second visit I booked The Vera treatment, which includes a full body exfoliation, a gold collagen body mask, hair wash, citrus facial cleansing, 24k gold face mask, scalp massage as well as a neck lifting massage and lymphatic massage. Now to be honest, that's a lot of extra stuff and I can't quite tell you if they had any impact at all. But it was still very enjoyable and once again, I left with the softest skin! Between the two treatments, I would probably stick with the The Cleopatra if returned. I'm not sure if it was the massage therapist or overall techniques for the treatments booked, but the massage during The Vera was a tad more uncomfortable and it was a bit tough communicating with my therapist about not putting anything on my brows (as they were still healing from my annual ombre brow touch up.) Overall, the facility was clean and service is always very professional. I'll probably make my way here once a year because their scrubs are the best! read more

Been here 2xs already for the spa and the Vsteam. Amazing!!! I have chronic pelvic pain related to endometriosis and adhesions. The Vsteam with theeir traditional mixture of true Korean herbs really helps relax my cyclic nerve pains & muscle spasms. The experience is so relaxing. They even give you an herbal tea and rice crackers snack during the Vsteam. The spa hot pools and detox room are amazing as well. The facility is clean but does not feel like they use harsh chemicals. Also, they offer natural products in the shower...I can really tell! I'm sensitive to many chemicals and my allergies would act up immediately if I smelled or rubbed up against anything. I have been to many korean spas both in the US and Korea and I really enjoy the atmosphere here at Spala to heal & relax. Really worth my drive from Long Beach! read more

My first time getting a Korean style spa treatment and now I need one every week. My cousins wanted to have a spa date at the end of the week to unwind and decompress. It was a wonderful "me time" to do just that! Enjoyed the infrared sauna as well as the cray room. And a little dip in the jacuzzis so the jets could do instant massaging on my back. Now if you're not used to the Korean style spa .. it is truly "freeing". I chose the Lavender soothe and I was truly relaxed and felt my body glowing after the amazing scrub down. Wish it was closer but also glad it isn't or else I'd be there weekly as the ambiance was amazing. I just might have to make a drive back down to LA. read more

My friend and I had a 4:00 PM appointment and arrived on time, only to be met with confusion about our booking. We were told it was "straightened out," yet when 4:00 came and went, no one communicated anything to us. After waiting, I finally had to ask what was going on--only then was I told I wouldn't be taken until 4:30 for a 30 minute treatment. While inconvenient, that alone wasn't the real issue. My friend had booked a 75-minute massage for 4:00 and wasn't taken until 4:35, 45 minutes later. She had to go upstairs in her robe just to find out what was happening. She specifically asked staff to let me know she was taken late so I wouldn't be wondering where she was. That never happened. Once again--zero communication. Even worse, there was zero accountability or customer service. No apology that felt sincere, no attempt to make it right, not even a small courtesy like a discount or future-use coupon. Their mistake completely threw off our schedule and left me waiting around fully dressed, not knowing I could have been using the facilities instead. Went with 6 other friends and had a great time. I had the deep tissue massage and felt like it was actually deep. I usually have to ask to go harder in my massages. My massage therapist did a great job and worked on the knots she felt. There are several rooms to relax in such as, clay, Himalayan salt, infrared sauna,cold, and steam. We also booked their private tea room to eat. It included champagne. We brought light snacks since there is no option for food. For those who have not done a Korean style spa, expect that the wet rooms do not allow bathing suits. You go nude. My only complaint was the number of people. The massage was great...I had Michelle and she was so nice and really worked hard on my shoulders and legs. Highly recommend her. The esthetician was a little rough but the facial was great. The only thing that was concerning was when we got there, we went to the sauna and upon walking out, a roach was about to come in. I was shocked...and scared of where there were others. The place had roach traps in the changing rooms which tells me this is probably an issue. The business should invest in a fumigation or some kind of service. She provided excellent customer service!!!!! My friend got Simple Classic (Korean Scrub) and I got Swedish Massage. Michelle is my masseuse and she did an amazing job. She knows how to applying pressure to my muscles, tendons and head to toe. I love her so much. She is the best masseuse I have ever had. My friend also had a great experience with her Korean Aunt.
