This salon lied and told me that they do have a master colorist and an experienced hairstylist. The hairstylist I got was a very young lady who only had 2 years of experience of being a hairstylist and who did not know what she was doing. Not only did she not wash my hair, properly (after putting the color on me), but then she also did not even colored all of my roots (as I had specified in my initial phone call with the salon). I had mentioned all of my concerns to this front desk lady, who was smirking and giggling silently. Nobody was concerned enough to talk to me as a paying customer and it was very obvious that they only care about getting money. The owner of the place did not talk to me, at all. Because they couldn't collect from that person, they withdrew an additional $80 from my account--meaning I was charged for both my membership and someone else's. When I called to resolve this, the representative I spoke with was dismissive and unhelpful. The conversation became frustrating, and I'll take accountability for the fact that I reacted poorly before ending the call. However, when I later spoke with the manager, I explained both the billing issue and my concerns about how I was treated. Shortly after, I was informed that I was being banned from the facility. The explanation given was that their employee sounded "confused" on the call, while I was described as "aggressive." That distinction doesn't sit right with me. I felt unheard, and the situation was not handled with fairness or professionalism--especially considering the original issue involved incorrect billing and account mismanagement. At the end of the day, my concern is this: customers should not have to deal with being charged incorrectly, dismissed when they raise concerns, and then penalized for reacting to poor service. When I arrived, the young woman in the front explained my options. I made my choices and then waited maybe 5 minutes to be taken back. Rachael explained how she works as a masseuse and made sure I had the opportunity to tell her what I did and did not want to experience. She also said that she will not speak unless spoken to, which is perfect for people who do not wish to talk during their massage. Rachael was pleasant, friendly and experienced. It was a relaxing massage that also included my scalp and face. I have to say, the face part felt quite good. Next time, I would request a deeper massage, as even though I enjoyed it, I believe the massage would have been more effective with additional pressure.
