Space House Cleaning has been cleaning my apartment for over a year now and even though my bf and I have decided to cut back a lot of our expenses, we both agreed we can't do without Space House Cleaning. The business is run by husband and wife team Luiz and Emanuela and this is not just a matter of having someone do the cleaning I am too lazy to do, this is about having someone professionally clean my home in a way I could not do without taking up an entire Saturday and ruining my clothes. When I get home from work, the house is sterile like a hospital, but also, all my clutter and crap is organized into neat looking piles and my array of blankets and pillows is arranged neatly and attractively. People, it is like coming home to a luxury hotel. No joke. I imagine Emanuela is a veteran of the hotel business, because of the little touches, such as the way the towels are folded. Ok so the house is clean...what else? Well, Luiz and Emanuela are really good people - always friendly and always professional. Luiz calls each week with a reminder and he is also able to rearrange cleaning dates if I'm away. They are both young, hardworking, and they really appreciate our business. Lastly, their rates are very fair. It has been worth every penny to have a professional cleaning done regularly just to make our time at home peaceful and relaxing. They came in for a free estimate and we were able to work out a schedule that I could afford. In sum.... Pros: Professional-grade cleaning, friendly and professional owners, fair rates. After finding out my favorite house cleaners were on yelp, I had to post a recommendation. I could not agree more with the below reviews. Emanuela is super professional, sweet and hard working. We have a three bedroom place and are three guys (we are actually pretty clean so no need for the shrieks of horror). Emanuela comes once a week to do a minor clean (kitchen and bathrooms mostly) and then once a month to do a full clean. I have to say coming home after Emanuela has done a full clean is amazing. We've been having her come clean for last 9 or 10 months, and ever since roommate life has been so much easier. Honestly the number one cause of roommate conflict is over whose turn it is to clean the bathroom or mop the kitchen or whatever. Once we started having Emanuela come I don't think we've had any real arguments in the house. I also have to repeat how great it is that either Luiz or Emanuela call each week to remind us of the upcoming appointment. If on the rare occasion, something has come-up making the scheduled appointment unworkable they are more than willing to work with us to find an alternative time. Over all the key for us was that Luiz and Emanuela are trustworthy solid people. At no point have we ever had a concern about them being in our house. They charge fair rates, do a great job, are professional and most importantly kind and flexible. In sum... if you are looking for someone to help with your cleaning, I can think of nothing more that you could ask for. read more

I've had Emmanuela cleaning my apartment for about 5 months now and things couldn't be better! I have a one-bedroom cow hollow apartment, with hardwood floors and a large living room. She comes twice a month and only charges $80 per visit. There is nothing better than coming home to a fresh smelling, clean house on a Friday after a long week. She's very professional, thorough and she brings all the cleaning supplies, vacuum, mops etc. It has been a very hassle free experience. She even cleans when I forget to leave the money! (Although, I've only done this once). She also adds some personal touches that you shouldn't overlook (folds all the towels nicely, changes the sheets, vacuums the couch in a cool pattern, folds the toilet tissue etc.). I've been living in SF for 13 years and have used many cleaners in the past. I have yet to find someone who is consistently good that I will recommend, until Emanuela. I truly believe she is part of the reason that I have such a good relationship with my husband! We've been using her for almost a year now and I can't recommend her enough. I found Emanuela on Yelp and I am excited to wholeheartedly concur with her other 5-star reviews! I just walked in my house after her second visit and I can't tell you what a joy it is to come home to. My little apartment looks beautiful! I could clean for days and it wouldn't look this good. She manages all these little touches, from the way she folds the towels to the little point on the end of the toilet paper, that just make it look so nice. Everything is just so perfect, I keep walking around my place looking at it. She even organized the mess of paper and plastic bags that I've been shoving behind my fridge for the last few years. I can't recommend Emanuela enough. We've been using her for about 9 months now even throughout our most recent apartment move. She cleaned the older tiny apartment for us, then did the deep clean for the landlord, then she did a deep clean as we moved into our new place. Since then we've had her come out twice a month. Granted we're just in a one bedroom apartment but we're both very busy people so having someone we can trust and do a great job with no fuss is worth it's weight in gold just for the time savings and headache prevention. We have used multiple cleaners in the past, and none are as good as Dilma and her daughter. We struggled finding someone who was reliable, punctual, trust-worthy, and does an excellent job until we found Dilma. They bring their own supplies, and now we just leave a key for them and trust them to come when we aren't home. I always look forward to coming home to a spotless house whenever they come. We've gone through a string of cleaners who've gashed up our floor, or spend half the time talking on the phone. Dilma pays attention to detail, after eyeballing their level of work we know we don't have to go back and inspect the job done. We appreciate how considerate they are; we have two kids under the age of 3 and I was surprised how much care they took to be quiet when cleaning during our kids naps...that's above and beyond the hard work they already put in. My husband and I are looking at ways to cut back on expenses, and cutting back on their services are not even an option! We have been using them for about 6 months now, and we give her the highest recommendation. read more

Space House Cleaning couldn't be more wonderful. Emanuela is an absolute perfectionist (and the sweetest, kindest person). We are slobs with dogs, and the house is not only spotless after she leaves but somehow "pulled together" in ways I couldn't have imagined. I've used her several times already and will keep using her as long as she'll have me. Also -- the prices are more than reasonable. $110 for the first deep (and I do mean deep) clean. I do not recommend this person. I had a last minute cleaning job for family who was staying at my place. When we finally were able to schedule an appointmnet for a 1 bedroom apartment she only cleaned for two hours and charged my room mate $170 instead of the $150 we agreed on over the phone. Even worse when I got back from Seattle my bedroom looked like it had not been touched. The floor was still very dirty and I was on my hands and knees vacuuming and mopping myself. Finally to add more damage the cleaner forged the check and somehow managed to add another hundred dollars to the check charging us $270. My room mate saw this and called the bank and had this reversed right away. Do not trust this lady at all period. read more

Dilma and Bruna have been cleaning my place for years, and we love them! They are very nice and trustworthy. Do not pay any attention to the review left by Christopher T. He must have confused them with someone else. We always look forward to when Dilma and Bruna come, because we know that they will do a great job and leave our place tidy and clean. Dilma is amazing. She and her crew do the best job of any cleaners I've used (and I've hired dozens over the last 15 years). First of all i decided to call 4 of the highly recommended Yelp housecleaners to get estimates. The large company types were a bit more expensive, but they were licensed and bonded and had 2 or more people that would swoop down and clean your house. The other individuals businesses were a bit less expensive, and were in similar price ranges, for cleaning a 1500sq ft. 2bdrm 1 bath house. All came by to give an estimate, which i appreciated. Their prices ranged from $180- $130 for once a month cleaning. Usually they go down in price if you do every 2weeks. We don't have kids or animals, so just 2 professionals who work a lot of hrs and don't have the energy to do the major clean once a month. Went with Space Cleaning as i was completely impressed with Luiz's professionalism and his attention to detail when he came to give a look see of the house. His wife Emmanuela would be cleaning the house, and sometimes she has a partner who also helps her out. I liked the fact that it would always be the same people, who cleaned and who would get to know me and my house (as to where things were placed and i how like things to look). The 1st cleaning was to be a Super Clean that lasted about 6hrs as Emmanuela didn't have her work partner helping her out. The cost $260 and then every 3-4wks after $130. Emmanuela brings all her own cleaning supplies and will use yours if you prefer. She is very sweet and kind and worked non-stop with no break the entire time. I asked her if she wanted to stop and eat for lunch and she said no, and continued to work. She is a very hard worker and loved that she organized things that i had tossed aside. She made everything look neat and contained and the house never looked so great. I was thoroughly impressed and so was my husband who was really blown away with the results. I will review them again in 6mos. to give an update on how things are working out. As of now , i highly recommend Luiz and Emmanuela. They are very professional, reliable and very very hardworking always willing to please. You can't get better than that! read more
